Treating injuries

Meanwhile Helen's two assistants brought additional cloth strips and hot water to clean the wounds. Once Helen got all the herbs and other required materials ready to treat, she requested the soldiers to help her remove John's light armor and his tunic.

As soon as they removed his tunic, everyone gasped seeing the wounds on his torso. Helen being a healer stayed calm and instructed the 2 girls to wipe away the blood stains to start the treat.

The soldiers after seeing this wound thought that John will not be able to survive. Helen put a thick pillow below John's head and poured a bitter smelling concoction down his throat. After that she kept both of her hands above his heavily wounded area and closed her eyes.

The soldiers got confused initially but after a few moments they felt the bleeding stop and can clearly feel him taking deep and even breaths.

Helen took her hands away from John after sometime and washed it in the hot water and started applying the paste she had made using the herbs. She bound the wounds and asked her assistants to clean the area and bring one more tub of hot water and some more cloth strips.

She thanked the solders and send them away informing them that John will recover completely after 15 days of bed rest and a month of rehabilitation.

Then she saw Alec, who was still resting at the entrance to the room bleeding heavily.

She sat opposite him and started pouring her internal energy into his body to heal his chest wound. She suddenly felt a strong rejection from him and she was pushed back few inches.

Alec suddenly opened his eyes, alert and ready to draw his sword. He saw his surrounding area in confusion and then saw Helen with her mouth wide opened staring at him.

He relaxed his hands. " Sorry about that, did you try to use healing magic on me?" Alec asked her.

Helen came back to her senses and noded her head. "Yes I was trying to heal your chest wound so that it would have helped speed up your recovery process."

Alec smiled sadly. "I am sorry, but it will not work on me. I am immune to all kinds of external energy attacks on my body. My body will consider even the healing energy as an external energy that is invading my body and blocks it."

Helen was intrigued by his bodies natural resistant nature towards external factors. But she kept that curiosity for another day and asked him to come inside the treating area.

Alec walked inside removed his light armor and tunic before Helen could say it. She raised an eyebrow at Alec. He shrugged his shoulders. " This is not the first time that I am in this condition, naturally I know what you are going to ask me to do next."

True to his words Helen could make out around half a dozen of marks on his body. It was hard to believe, but it felt like a pattern on hid body making it look interesting.

Helen sighed and started cleaning his wounds herself as hes assistants were cleaning the area where John was treated a few minutes back.

"Thank you Healer Helen, I will always be greatful to you for saving John's life. He is more than a brother to me. If anything were to happen to him, I would never had forgiven myself."

"There is nothing to thank me for. It's my responsibility to save lives. And besides, you are the one who brought him here on-time." Helen replied.

How did you both end up in this condition? Helen aked him curiously...
