Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Worries, Woes, and Wagony...?

After mashing his head against the wall for a couple of seconds, he sits down and begins to nurse the migraine he'd caused... "Why couldn't I have been reincarnated into Naruto, or Bleach... Or even Highschool DXD?... Now I'm stuck here, totally reliant on an abusive sixteen-year-old girl for my survival.

If it weren't for the fact he had a 'slight' chance in everything somehow working out, he'd have thrown himself out of the tower window right now... At least the chance of surviving and potentially making it through with some 'beauties' was there...

Well, at least there was a bright side to things... If he hadn't replaced Saito and had simply just been teleported into the world, he'd have been completely screwed... This world was one of massive discrimination. From what he remembered, most people with magic were 'Nobles', and were thus above the average commoner, usually treating their servants like dogshit.

It wasn't strange that things turned out that way, to be honest, Michael's world also had slavery in the past, and that was only due to people having different skin colour... Compared to having two different sets of humanity, one who possessed magic, and one who didn't, it was obvious to see what'd happen.

While he was thinking on this topic, the door to his room abruptly slams open, revealing the person he most wished not to see right now...

She was incredibly short for a sixteen-year-old girl, a clean 5ft which was only slightly raised if she was wearing heels. Her figure was also incredibly lithe, Michael feeling as if he could snap her forearms barehanded if he wanted to.

Her hair was bright pink and draped down to the small of her back, it was obviously very well maintained, and shimmered in the light as she moved. She was garbed in the typical academy uniform, a clean white buttoned shirt, black skirt, and a cloak that rested over her shoulders which was secured at the front with a metal broach decorated with a pentagram.

She had a pensive smile on her face as she walks into the room, she was beautiful, with pink eyes, a small nose, kissable lips, and an innocent-looking face.

Michael couldn't help but let his eyes wander, as they traced past her skirt to her thighs, which were partially covered by knee-high socks... Unfortunately, he remembers too late which character this was supposed to be, suddenly looking up to her face, which now sported a large frown.

She goes to draw her wand, but visibly has to restrain herself, realising that he may have not healed completely yet, especially with how injured he'd been yesterday. "You." she pauses and shakes her head, deciding not to get off on a bad foot with her 'familiar'. "I am Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière, daughter of Duke de La Vallière. Understand who you look upon and restrain yourself." she states in a demure, yet authoritative manner, which causes Michael to subconsciously straighten his back.

Michael coughs into his hand with a sheepish look, "S-sorry... I've, just never seen someone so beautiful before." he stammers out, doing his best to not end up like Saito...

Unfortunately, his compliment doesn't achieve the response he wished for, as Louise' brow twitches, "What is your name, commoner?"

"Michael... W-were you the one who summoned me?"

Louise frowns and her nose wrinkles as 'not so pleasant' thoughts gather in her mind, "You are not to ask questions unless I expressly permit it. Now, close your eyes and stay still for a moment." she states, not moving until Michael relents and closes his eyes, knowing exactly what was about to happen.

He can't help but to get excited, his heart thumping hard in his chest as he feels her approach, knowing that a kiss was required to complete the summoning ceremony... Since he lacked the runes, it meant that Louise had to...

His body stiffens as he's barely able to keep down his excitement, the fact that he was about to experience his first kiss making him feel incredibly self-conscious... Are his lips too dry? Should he move? Maybe his tongue?

Finally, after waiting for what seemed like an eternity... Michael feels his lips covered in warmth, Louise' soft lips connecting with his own... It felt amazing but, unfortunately, didn't last long. As Louise quickly pulls away and wipes her mouth with her sleeve, as if she'd eaten a fly.

Michael opens his eyes and spots the slight blush on her face, unable to see the matching one on his own... It's only then that the pleasant emotions he was feeling fade, leading way to an agonizing burning pain that'd sprouted in his left hand.

The bright glowing runes of Gandálfr burned themself into his flesh, Michael was unable to stop his shout of pain as it happens. It feels like someone was driving red-hot poking through his hand at a fast rate to tattoo the runes into his flesh.

The only reason he hadn't been worried about losing his hand due to it was because of his prior knowledge of the anime... Plus lack of the smell of burning flesh...

Just like Saito, Michael's body convulsed and went into a mild seizure on the bed as the burn began to crawl up his arm and spread to the rest of his body... The pain continues, until it passes his neck and reaches his brainstem, which abruptly causes him to pass out.

Louise just watches this with curious eyes, wondering if this was supposed to happen or not... All the other familiars had been unharmed and didn't seem to experience any pain at all. Yet, here her plebian familiar looked as if he was about to have a heart attack. She was relieved when he finally passed out though, the pitiful sight souring her mood slightly.

She had wanted to take him down to the courtyard, as it was supposed to be time for the students to be getting to know their familiars... But, she supposed her short conversation with him was good enough for now.
