Chaoter 4: DEVASTATION!!!!!

Devastation, that is the only word to describe the scene Cole stumbled upon when he ran towards his sister's scream. He found her naked mangled body that was being raped from every side by multiple beasts. The beasts had made use of every hole and she was covered in blood, multiple bloodied cuts, and semen. The semen was seeping from the holes where her eyes used to be and even her nose wasn't spared this torture.

Cole saw his worst fear being realized right in front of him. Not only were his parents dead, but his little sister who was only 15 was dead and her corpse was being abused. Cole screamed at the top of his lungs, his scream of rage and agony echoed in the streets. He was alone, completely and utterly alone. His life will never be happy again he has nothing anymore. But even if he dies today he will take out every single beast that dared to do that to his sister.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! YOU WILL PAY, YOU WILL ALL PAY. DIE, DIE, DIE ALL OF YOU JUST DIE!!!!!"

While every beast turned their eyes to him and snarled. Cole's eyes turned completely black and before the beasts could blink, their bodies were cut to shreds. There was not even a single intact piece of the beasts but Cole didn't stop. He ran towards every beast he saw and slashed them to pieces. All that could be seen was a black figure surrounded by multiple floating weapons of darkness with a Scythe in his hand slicing apart every beast. There was a dark aura of smoke constantly being released from his body as a stench of death and decay continued to permeate the surroundings.

Three days passed before a lone figure could be seen, heavily breathing atop a humongous pile of body parts of beasts. The figure was Cole, he was finally free from his state of rampage and destruction. There was not a single intact beast anywhere in at least a 6 and a half mile radius, at least that was from what he could see. Cole blinked his eyes and the regular color came back to his eyes.

<What happened?? The last thing I remember was.... Oh God CLAIRE!!!>

Cole looked around but the area was completely unrecognizable from all the destroyed buildings and roads. All he could see was the space needle far in the distance.

Cole started running and surprisingly he was instantly closer to the Space Needle. If before it looked on the complete other side of the city, it now looked to be around 50 miles away. He decided to figure out this situation after he got back to his sister, all this meant right now is he could get to Claire faster. He arrived at the last place he remembered seeing Claire and all that greeted him was corpses of beasts everywhere and his sister's body layed down on the ground with a blanket over her.

He looked at her covered body, and for the first time in nearly 12 years he cried. He cried his heart out until there was nothing left and decided that he would bury her, and his parents. He first grabbed his sister's body and carried her to a place that was far from any blood or gore, to a surprisingly clean and serene meadow. He remembered she always loved to visit places like this when she was younger, she was one of the few people nowadays that could appreciate the beauty of nature.

He buried her under a tree that stood in the middle of the meadow, softly blowing in the wind.

"Claire I'm so sorry I didn't make it in time, I'm sorry I wasn't there in the first place. It should've been me, you didn't deserve this."

Cole then brought what was left of his parents and buried them next to his sister.

"Mom. Dad. I'm sorry I left, I just wanted to live my own way. I didn't mean to cut you guys out, I didn't want to leave Claire alone. This is all my fault, if I'd been here, you would all still be alive. I know that I won't be able to make up for this so I promise that I will kill every single beast I find. And find the person who brought them all here and make sure they can never hurt anyone every again. Goodbye Mom, Dad, Claire. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you guys."

After gathering his thoughts, intent on keeping his promise to his family, Cole decided to figure out what happened he pulled up all the messages he missed when he blacked out.

Cole stared at his status page in shock, how had he gone up 84 levels and how did his stats get so high, especially his intelligence. Then he remembered that when he came to he was on top of a pile of beast body parts and didn't see any beasts on his way back to Claire. Did he kill all those beasts? That he didn't know so he looked at his other messages to see if they held the answer.

Cole's jaw dropped when he saw how many times that multiple messages had repeated over and over and he got what was termed as 'Class Skills' he planned to check his new class first before checking his new skills. He pulled up his class and what he saw made his jaw drop once again.

[Reaper Of Darkness] (Unique)You are a Reaper, you are what others fear to see when they are about to die. You are now the 'Champion Of The Night' you gain access to multiple class skills. Permanent Class bonus is given to the first to attain this class. +50 to all stats. +5 attribute stats per level up. Gains capability to use [Dark Form].

[Dark Form] While in this form, you become corporeal and power is applified hundredfold for 30 minutes. Your corporeal form makes you immune to all physical attacks and you take half damage from magical attacks for the duration.You gain the capability to use the Reaper's Scythe.

{Note: Can only be activated at night or when there is an absence of light.}

[Reaper's Scythe] This scythe doubles your attack when you are attacking anything that you deem as worthy of death and can absorb the blood and soul of the dead to strengthen itself which only increases it's damage.]

'Damn, that [Dark Form] is no joke, not to mention the Reaper's Scythe. The class bonus explains the extra stats.'

Cole then got a closer look into the rest of the evolved skills.

[God Of Darkness] Legendary: (Active/Passive) You are the Night and the darkness will bend to your every will. You no longer need to increase mastery as anytime you use this skill the only thing limiting you is your imagination. Although the more powerful thing you wish to create, the more you have to concentrate to keep it active. +5,000 to all magic related stats.

[Demigod Body] You have transcended the limit of a mortal body and can exert more strength in your body. +300 to all physical stats & +200 to magical stat.

[Eyes of Truth] Nothing can escape your eye, you are immune to illusions and mind attacks and unless you are over 10 levels below your enemy you can see all their information.

Cole also found that at least 50 of his kills were Cross-Level kills so he got over 500 Attribute points that he can use.

Cole was really excited to finally see what his Class Skills look like. He focused on the first one. [Wings Of The Archangel].

[Wings Of The Archangel] Your wings of darkness have evolved to become the wings of the archangel. As The Reaper who has obtained the God of Darkness skill you are given the wings of a fallen Angel.

[Chains of the Night] You hold the chains of life and death in your hands and can be used to attack and bind your opponents while you punish them for their misdeeds.

[Dark Healing] Using Darkness you can heal from otherwise grievous wounds or even re-attach severed limbs.

[Shadow Walk] You have ultimate control of darkness and can even use it to travel from one shadow to another or to any dark place that you can see.

[Abyssal Flames] You summon the fire of darkness. A fire so hot it burns all light that it comes in contact with and can even burn the souls of the dead.

[Light Steal] Can be used to absorb the light in your surroundings and allow better use of your darkness abilities and to even blind your enemies who can't see in the dark.

[Twilight Manipulation] Gives you rudimentary manipulation of the light you absorb to form dark-light constructs.

[Dark Dimension] Gives you the ability to enter and send others into your dimension of darkness and to store things in your dimension.

[Dark Impact] User can send out a ball of darkness that when it lands in an area blooms into a barrier of darkness where dark lightning and flames ravage your enemies.

[TITLE: Darkness Incarnate] You are now one with the darkness and being the Champion Of The Night makes you to be looked favorably on by the different God's of Darkness or things related to it i.e. death, shadow, night, destruction, chaos.

Cole marveled at his new abilities and he can't wait to try it out. He will use these abilities and his new-found power to begin his extermination of every beast and the one who brought them here and caused his family's death.
