As the convoy guarded by men on steeds left the north gate of the capital, the speed picked up, and it vanished from the enhanced sight of the soldiers at the top of the city walls.

In the last carriage, a masked man could be seen in a lotus position, his eye closed. In his sea of consciousness, Li Chen stood in the midst of the dark void.

Below his feet was a water surface that rippled with each step and above him were boundless starry skies stretching to eternity. 

Above was a boundless space and below was an endless sea—this was seen from the sea of consciousness.

It was a realm related to the spiritual part of a human and the only path to the star realm.

Mortals had no access to this realm until they reached the peak of the mundane level but Li Chen had access to it from the very first moment he assumed a lotus position to cultivate!
