“THE PRANK”

"Hey ya "Mirabel said as she sighted Michael coming closer to them.

"Heading to class?" He asked smiling down at her as he got closer.

" Hey men"Michael said stretching fort his hands towards Jeremy for an hand shake.

"Hey" Jeremy responded with a feigned smile."I didn't like Michael to be with my Puppy,maybe someone else but definitely not him". He thought.

"You gonna come by later at the volleyball center? Michael asked as Jeremy removed his hands from his. That's something about this Jeremy guy,I don't think he likes me being around the ladies,especially my favorite Bel"

"Yeah I will" Jeremy nodded with a smile.

"Them boys ain't gonna know what hit them this time around"Michael laughed.

"Yeah they won't "Jeremy smirked.

Michael and Jeremy had being friends since they joined the after school volleyball group. They were both the best players in their league. But the only problem they both had was Mirabel.Michael wants her to be his, but Jeremy on the other hand doesn't wants that to happen for a reason best known to him alone.But they weren't gonna let that put a stain in their relationship.

Taking a closer look on Mirabel who was walking as though she was on a Cinderella gown,noticed her dull mood.

"Are you okay?"he asked.

"Huh? Me? I…am okay… " she stammered.

"You're sure?"he asked knowing she wasn't really okay. He had known her for quite a while time, it isn't that difficult for him to know when she's happy or when she isn't.

" Now tell me Bel,what's up with your mood huh? I don't believe it's nothing" he smiled at her.

"Really Michael I'm okay" she replied feeling uneasy.

"Hey you guys can go on without her I need to talk with her"he stated firmly .

"Okay"the twins said and continued heading to class.

"Is that okay with you Bel?" Emily asked giving Michael a strange look.He couldn't tell if it was a look of hatred but he knew it wasn't a positive one. Emily and Michael never really get along,but they've known each other longer than anyone else. There was this great chasm between them one couldn't identify what it was.

" It's okay Emily "she nodded with a blank look.

" What's wrong with you? He asked looking down into her eyes.

"Where's Jeremy?" She suddenly asked.

"He…he..just…walked away a whil..e ago"he stammered.

"But I didn't noticed it"she said more to herself.

"Hmm he sighed, is he the reason behind your …?,are you guys quarreling?"

"Michael,we ain't quarreling we are just keeping a little distance " she arched her brow.

"I should have known,he laughed.He is always the reason for your mood swings , but the thing I don't understand is that you both ain't together, but are always having these couples brawling thing ,and whenever you're on good terms you're always seen together and that's really frustrating for me huh. Bel just tell me where do I belong?" He said with pain in his eyes.

"You're my friend Michael!" She smiled.

"But I don't just want to be just…a friend " he pouted.

"Dearest Michael, I still need some time to give you an answer she stared into his eyes. I don't want to hurt you, you're a good person "she lowered her head feeling shy.

"Hmm he sighed , okay I think I can wait a little more. But I can't wait forever " he said with an half serious face.

"I know "she laughed .

"Hey what took you so long?" Emily asked as Mirabel took her sit.

"Nothing much" she replied her tone giving the warning, don't ask me questions.

"What's your business with that?" Becky asked.

"I'm just tryna look out for a dear friend huh?" Emily shouted.

"I'm good Emily, I can look out for myself okay?" Mirabel smirked.

"But…Bel I'm not tryna barge into your personal life but I do think you shouldn't give Michael a chance,he isn't a give person "Emily said looking at Mirabel for a response.

"And how would you know that huh?Betsy protested, lemme tell you something we all all Michael is crazily in love with Bel and that's sure "

"Alright Emily,if Michael is not a good person who then is?"Mirabel asked with a hard glare.

"Well…if we're to put an answer to that question I will say Jeremy, he's a person Bel"

"Please don't just start with that now Emily,we all know Jeremy is a good person but we all know that he doesn't loves me, so why should I go on loving someone who doesn't even cares to reciprocate my feelings?" This time she was almost in tears.

" You can never tell Bel"Emily smiled.

"Hey guys we all know Jeremy is a great guy but i don't think he loves Bel okay?he just sees her as friend nothing more"Betsy sternly said.

"You just put a conclusion to that huh? You should have said maybe not that huh" Emily replied rolling her eyes at Betsy.

"Hey guys why do we have to fight over this all the time huh?we should all let Mirabel follow her heart okay?"Becky said with frustration.

"If you so think that Jerry is a good person why don't you date him huh? "Mirabel smirked.

"I will like to if only him spares me a glance,Emily said dreamily.But it's you he wants not me"she arched her brow.

"Hey guys I got an idea , Becky smirked. We all want to know if Jeremy loves Bel right?"

"Yeah "they all replied including Mirabel.

"Then how about a prank?" She blurted staring at them.

They all gave her a surprised look.

"That would be awesome " Betsy exclaimed.

"And how do we go about it?" Bel asked.

"Emily you would have to tell him you like him huh, and ask him a few questions about Bel. He will be thinking you're asking him those questions for your best interest not knowing otherwise " she laughed.

"Whoa! That would be great"Emily exclaimed.

"Well guys , I think that will be thrilling I will finally have to make a decision between these TWO CHOICES I have" she smiled .
