It's too late

In a forest by the side of a road, a group of military cars and trucks were parked silently, next to that group of vehicles were about thirty soldiers each and every one of them armed from head to toe. 

Mike, who was in charge of leading the invasion of Woodbury when the Governor's group left, was standing silently as he looked at the watch in his hand. 

On the other side, right next to Mike, was Karla who had a ghostly expression on her face, if these people had mercilessly attacked the Woodbury shelter, she was sure that no one could have survived. 

She was sure these people were real soldiers, not civilians with guns pretending to know how to shoot. Any one of these people could outnumber the Governor's experienced men by three without considering equipment. 

In the plan that Airon had employed, it consisted of three important parts so that there would be the least number of unnecessary deaths. First, Karen was to be made to believe that there were not many people at the base of the prison, how was that accomplished? Very easy, the prison had many new areas where people could be even without moving to the main yard. 

Once Karen was led to believe that there were not many people, the next step was for her to inform the Governor as should have been her purpose. Once she informed the Governor, Airon would talk to her and try to convince her with the evidence in his hands that they were not the bad guys. 

In the original story, Airon recalls that Karen is the one who helps Rick evacuate the people from the Woodbury to the prison when the Governor went crazy and started killing his allies. This is what made him think that he might have a chance to save the people of Woodbury, so he wouldn't have to kill a lot of innocent people. 

In a nutshell, the whole plan fell on one woman and that was Karen, the next thing was very easy to do. Everyone, they would have to lure the enemies inside the prison and begin to subdue them little by little. 

It was clear that many would die, but this was the least I could do for them. In consideration of the fact that most of those attacking the prison were tricked by the Governor, he would be sympathetic and not kill them all. 

"All right, it's time to move on to the enemy shelter! Remember, they are enemies until they surrender completely, eliminate the people if they don't drop their weapons." Mike said with a cold expression. 

"Understood, sir!" All the soldiers responded in a loud voice and climbed into their vehicles, starting the engines as they all headed towards Woodbury.

Back at the prison, Martinez peered over the wall and then signaled to the Governor that they had climbed successfully, and when he saw this the Governor showed an expression of satisfaction. 

Now that everyone was slowly advancing as expected, the Governor wasted no more time and ordered the rest of the people on the outside to start approaching the gate of the inner wall, and some even started again to push the vehicles to block the enemy's front. 

While the intruders in the front yard were rushing into the central courtyard, a group of people were hiding in the wall where they entered. These people were squatting inside the railing on the wall. 

Because the base wall is a strong structure to withstand strong impacts, the top of the rush is similar to a wall, with slightly higher railings to hide people on both sides of the base. Because security was protected by the guard towers that were concentrated at the entrance of the base, there were no railings there. 

But since everyone was now following Airon's orders, the Governor's group was able to enter easily and without much resistance. In short, everything was under Aiorn's hands. 

At this moment, numerous people including Martinez were standing on the thick wall of the base, and in fact they were already being surrounded by Airon's people. Airon's group was confident that the walls on both sides could cover them completely, so as a result they were not seen by the enemy. 

Although there were many people led by Martinez up to the wall, none of them wanted to take a step further and check what lay beyond. After all, this place is too big and they don't have time to check all the walls for enemies since the only ones there seemed to be in those towers who had already stopped firing for a while. 

And this was one of the plans Airon had been making since the Governor came to observe the prison surroundings. Having control of the information the enemy had, he let most of the people in his community and the guards hide in the places where they were most likely to be ignored. 

One of the spots where most people were concentrated was the gymnasium which had been mostly rebuilt. This place has now been transformed into a large unit similar to the other prison structures. Twelve large units, each unit has eighteen rooms perfectly connected from left to right that can accommodate two people and taking advantage of the large structure, was divided into three floors, this place housed housing for a total of one thousand three hundred people counting two people per room. 

This place was originally prepared to bring personnel from the city of Atlanta if that base was destroyed or impossible to sustain, but now, under special circumstances, everyone on the base was gathered at this point. 

All members of the Airon community cooperated very well and there were no complaints of any kind, there were even people who volunteered to fight against the invaders, making it clear that all these people already consider this place as their home, wishing to destroy anyone who wanted to destroy this place. 

Airon only explained this plan to the members with class two authority, but at least he told everyone to keep cool, after all he already had a way to deal with all the enemies. 

In the end, he prepared four teams and they all split up to carry out special operations, the first group was led by Mike and he headed for the Woodbury, Elias' group was among the trees a hundred meters behind the Governor and two more groups who scattered to different firing points in the prison and everyone waited in silence. 

At that time, about fifty people were hiding on the walls of the base, about thirty people in all the shooting towers and forty people hiding behind the Governor. The two groups on the walls were led by Rick and Merle, the other was led by Shane and Daryl. 

In a large tree, Airon stood silently covered in camouflage as he held a light machine gun pointed towards the door of the base where the Governor and a small group of people waited.

He held up the radio in his hand, looked around once more, and counted down the time to attack. 

Seeing that the countdown was over, from three different directions, everyone got ready, waiting for Airon to make a move, Rick and Shane pointed at Martinez's group, and everyone started to get ready.　 

Airon, who was at the top of a tree behind the Governor, pulled the trigger of his gun and a series of bullets shot out at high speed from the long barrel of his gun. 

"Bang Bang Bang!" 

As everyone heard the blasts coming from the woods, Rick and Shane on either side of the walls opened fire as well. More than a dozen a dozen people hiding in the walls also began firing. 

The Governor's people saw that the other side began to attack, and they all joined the battle. The Governor's outer group had suffered several casualties due to sudden gunfire coming from the forest. So immediately bursts of gunfire could be heard on all sides of the prison. 

Airon and his people were not going to be very friendly, evidently many of those who now came to attack his people would die, those who are lucky will live, as for the others only one way awaits them and that is death. 

Everyone was distracted due to the attacks coming from all sides, and it was at that moment that no one noticed that several single rifle barrels had appeared on the watchtowers.

Rick and the others in the rear had already drawn the attention of over thirty people and they were all suppressing the attacks coming in their direction. Rick and Shane began to slowly move forward. 

The original plan was that, taking advantage of the disorientation of the people due to the gunfire, a small group of people would move to frank the enemies, but this could vary as the wall of the base was not very wide and the inner diameter is only two meters. Under the watchful eyes of more than thirty people, it is not at all easy to flank them without them noticing, if one of them turns his head, he will find a group of people approaching from his side and when that moment comes, he can only face them body to body. 

So, a solution was thought of, they started from the edge to bring the enemies under control one by one, thus advancing towards the center in a short time. 

As for how these people will be controlled silently and without anyone noticing, it is thanks to the snipers and the Dixon brothers. Daryl and Merle, who are familiar with hunting and survival, had a lot of knowledge so Airon, Guillermo and the Dixon brothers came up with a plan. 

It turned out that Airon had considered facing some special circumstances from the early days of the end of the world until now, so he prepared about thirty tranquilizer guns. The advantage of tranquilizer guns is that they are silent and are very effective against some targets that do not want to kill. 

Daryl was familiar with these types of tranquilizer guns. So, when Airon provided the equipment, Daryl quickly set up a sufficient amount of the anesthetic. 

The arms of Rick's two were pressed tightly to the small wall, and the team members behind him began firing at the intruders. Meanwhile, several snipers with such special weapons began to suppress the enemies. 

The anesthesia took effect very quickly, and half of the people on both sides of the opponent fell to the ground almost instantly, and then several members of Airon's team stepped forward in an instant occupying the opponent's position, and they continued to outflank the enemy.

While the rest of the people were still focused on shooting for attention, only Martinez felt that something was wrong, but while at the people around him he found nothing abnormal and continued shooting, but after a few seconds, he saw the people around him fall and then felt something on the back of his head being pressed by something cold. 

"Don't move, put your gun down and put your hands on your head, slowly!" 

Martinez slowly lowered the gun, raised his hands and put them behind his head, then turned around and a tall white man appeared with a gun in his hand. The huge barrel of the gun pressed against his forehead. 

The white man leaned to the side, held a gun in one hand, raised his head slightly and looked at him with murderous intent in his eyes, which made Martinez's heart constrict. 

Looking around again, Martinez did not know when he was surrounded by the opponent's people. On his side, all the people were lying on the ground and also started to be secured by the enemy. 

Daryl also aimed the crossbow at Crowley's head, and the weapon had already been thrown to the ground, he exchanged a glance with Martinez and sighed, they got them again! 

There were more than thirty people left under the door led by the Governor, in their place at least forty people. And all these men were heavily armed. 

However, when the groups on both sides advanced, another group of people took their place and continued firing pretending that the shooting was continuing. 

This created an illusion for the governor below who was firing into the woods. The gunfire continued to ring out, and he did not realize at all that most of his people had been controlled! 

But soon enough, he noticed that the people around him began to fall to the ground, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw that there was something stuck to the back of one person in their group, it was then that he realized that something was wrong, so he quickly turned his head back nervously.
