I will like it here

Deanna's special interrogation finally came to an end after another half day, and the first thing she did after leaving the room was to pour herself a glass of water.

In the last few hours she felt that her throat was about to stop working, but then she was attracted by the abnormal noise outside and went over to look.

At this moment, on the street in front of several houses, a group of Alexandria residents were standing around Airon. As Deanna came out of the house, she saw her two sons, Aiden and Spencer, along with a few other people face Airon.

"Whether you want to live here, you must obey the rules imposed on this place. Weapons are not allowed in our Alexandria community. Your weapons and those of your people must be surrendered and kept together."

Merle, who was standing next to Airon, had his arm around Aiden's neck at this point and said with some displeasure, "Listen to me mama's baby..."

"Don't talk to me like that!"

Airon held up his hand to stop Merle's raw actions. He had already seen out of the corner of his eye Deanne walk out of the house to the front, but she didn't speak, so he decided to ignore her. He looked at the people in front of him with a smile and said, "The first thing you should know is that I am the leader of several shelters in Atlanta. You are lucky that I am an understandable man and ignore your irrational requests. I will talk to Deanna about this matter."

"Secondly, take this as a lesson from someone experienced, our people do not belong to Alexandria formally, we come for a unique purpose so you might consider our relationship to be equivalent to that of two different countries before the end of the world, I will not choose to give up the power of defense."

"Make no mistake, I will agree if you propose something reasonable. If my words after that fail to convince you, we will leave this place."

Airon said it very politely, but as long as the people in front of him were not stupid, they could understand the meaning of what he said a moment ago. He knew these people were special, they needed a lot of experiences for them to truly understand his thoughts and Deanna's children were not very trustworthy if you study their background.

Aiden and Spencer were angry, but couldn't find a reason to refute his words, not having a clear answer Spencer apparently wanted to fight with his fists.

"Stop!"

Seeing that the situation was about to get out of control Deanna quickly called for her sons to stop. She had heard a lot about Airon and understood what his people had gone through since the beginning of the end of the world. He was cold to his enemies and warm to those who are protected by him.

Deanna walked over to her two sons, she looked at Airon and apologized with her gaze before saying, "Airon, I hope you forgive my sons for their behavior, this time it is my fault as I did not have time to inform them of this."

Airon waved his hands hurriedly and said very politely, "No need, I know they haven't suffered enough and we don't share the same level of information either."

Aiden looked at Airon, feeling a little regretful, was he really wrong?

Turning her head and looking at her two sons who didn't live up to her expectations, Deanna shouted under her breath, "Hurry up and go home, we'll talk about this later!"

Deanna was really very angry at her sons' rushed behavior, so she had no choice but to send them elsewhere. Spencer even looked directly at Airon, which meant his words weren't finished.

"Shit, I'll love this place..." Merle stuck his tongue out and glared at those stupid sons of the leader of this community.

After calming down, Deanna apologized to Airon again, then pretended to remember something and said, "Airon, do you have some time? I wanted to talk to you again."

"Of course! But this time you have to accompany me to my home, after all, I want to share what I know with you."

"Of course, I agree."

Deanna approached the modified RV parked in a secluded spot, Aaron followed her closely and also looked at the RV, this large armored vehicle amazed both of them.

Airon invited them both inside, so they saw a small operating room, beds, couches, radio station and a kitchen. This made him feel that these people were now prepared for anything.

Deanna along with Aaron walked to the center of the RV, she noticed that there were several people lying in the two bedrooms spread out on either side of the back of the truck, some were sleeping and some were talking.

Counting secretly, she discovered that none of these people went to rest in the house, and even some of the women in this group were busy cooking outside the RV.

"Airon, will none of your original group live inside the house that was prepared for them?" Deanna couldn't help but say that question out loud.

And at that moment some people on the side also noticed her arrival and nodded their heads. Among them, Tyreese was more active and took the initiative to say, "Airon told us that even in a safe environment, we cannot form the habit of laziness. Each of us has become accustomed to this place, so there is no need to worry about the living environment."

Deanna nodded thoughtfully and looked at Airon with a touch of admiration.

"Please take a seat, this place is relatively simple and can't be bought with a house but it meets all the needs." Airon placed a glass of water in front of Deanna and Aaron and sat down in front of the dio.

"It's already great, it's hard to imagine this is your living environment out there."

Smiling, Airon didn't respond, just looked at Diana.

Knowing that the other party wanted to get to the point as soon as possible, Deanna put aside her thoughts of conversing, sat up a little and said with a serious expression, "Airon may I ask what the real purpose of your visit to Alexandria is? You and I, the people in this vehicle know that your original settlement should be much better than this place, why give up that comfort and come all the way to Washington DC?"

Airon raised the glass of water in front of him, took a sip and said, "Deanna, I can see that you are an intelligent person, so I don't want to lie to you for some inexplicable reasons. The main purpose of coming here this time is to round up a group of survivors and bring them back to base."

"Development in Atlanta requires a lot of manpower. We have enough supplies and three secure bases, so I plan to spend some time scouting around here to see if there are any other survivors nearby. There's something else more important, but we're not yet familiar enough to tell you that clearly at this time."

"Aren't the survivors in Atlanta enough for you to thrive? There should be plenty of survivors there, right?"

Airon understood the other party's hesitation, no one would put aside the affairs of the base and run off to save more people. Airon didn't want to tell him directly that the main purpose of coming this time is to bring people from various nearby settlements to this place and create a strong base, so I can only make an excuse.

"I decided to come here since Gregor Helmont told me about this place. Although there are many survivors near Atlanta and Georgia, it is our territory after all and it is only a matter of time before we take the whole city."

"It's much easier to gather survivors, but here it's different, besides, didn't I tell you, there's still something very important to do and something you don't know yet, now is not the time to worry so much, sorry, you have to wait a while before I tell you everything, but by then you will understand the main purpose of my coming here."

Nodding, Deanna had no doubts about Airon's statement. After all, if the other party had malicious intentions, they could easily eliminate her people the first time they arrived in Alexandria.

"Alright, then I'll wait until you can tell me.... Actually, I have another purpose for talking to you. You are a team that has traveled outside, so I want to hear your opinions about the Alexandria community."

"I know we are very fortunate, we managed to escape the turmoil in the early days of the end of the world, but this has also become one of our weaknesses, we don't know anything about the outside world now, so can you comment, what needs to be improved in our community?"

After she finished speaking, she looked at Airon expectantly, waiting for the other party to tell her what the main problem of this place was.

After hesitating for a moment, Airon did not speak directly, but waved to Daryl, who stood to the side.

Daryl had been quietly listening to the conversation since it began. Although Aaron and Deanna had noticed, he thought it was no one who would speak next.

But Daryl didn't care and said, "Your community's defenses are mediocre, your individual combat power is even more mediocre, your way of thinking is very stupid, the environment isn't favorable either, and the security is so bad I'd rather not mention it, not to mention your lazy method of living."

When Deanna listened to this gentleman's assessments, she did not understand why the base she was so proud of became so useless in the eyes of the other party.

"Airon, isn't that a bit of an exaggeration?"

Feeling helpless, Airon nodded towards and Daryl stepped out of the modified RV. "This is the assessment Daryl made, he has survived since the early days and learned a lot about the necessities."

"There are no special scouts in your community, no well-trained fighters, no systematic defense system, no food chain that can produce naturally. The safety you believe is based only on the absence of a minuscule amount of undead attacks and most importantly, people."

"Suppose a group of walkers comes and you have no way of knowing in advance. When you discover the crisis, you'll basically be surrounded and with no escape."

"How will you share food during this period of time? Do you have your own farmland and reserves that can meet the consumption of your community? And if a group of survivors plans to invade this place as Noah's old refuge, what would you do?"

"You don't have to be an expert and live here for a long time to know about those bugs, that person will find that you don't have any security measures. Whether someone forcibly captures this place during the day or they come at night, I can only say that you don't have the ability to resist at all, right?"

"Besides, the walkers are apparently appearing with different qualities and none of this place knows that, right?"

Hearing each of these hypotheses, even if these things didn't really happen, a layer of cold sweat gradually broke out on Deanna's forehead and when she heard his last words, she felt that Airon knew something that they didn't.
