Chapter 9 - The Lady In Black Part 1

This shadow with it's hand coming out of it now vanished back into the shadow. I carefully watcg upon the shadow waiting for it's response, fear crawled unto me still the lingering instinct of death was a remaining form in my heart even I am formed to this new form of mine.

"Now you will listen"

I gulped to her voice of deathly calm tone.

"The future are my eyes, the past is my history and the present is the truth,mother of the stars beyond the far space tell me the fable of this child for what unforseen stories of thou story had held"

A sound of a sighing was heard from the shadow. There was something that felt off my eyes grew to this in a sudden moment of envelopment in the air full of sadness radiating.

I felt a calm of a loving mother's touch around me, was it reassuring for me? or was it eliminating the feeling the fear inside? I was unsure.

"Reveal the truth"

My body beats loudly my eyes shook, the scenery of flames, the snow which is from ashes of the dead, buildings collapsed from destruction creating debris that fell over to people, skies without stars that were hidden but invaded by the smoke which the ash falls. Smokes that burn the bodies of people running as they scream in the excruciating feeling of pain. Lives were took one by one just the city being destroyed.

"Help us!"

"We need help!"

"Commander! we have a problem!"

"Shit we are going to die!"

"W-what is happening? m-mommy?"

The moans of a mother's lower half buried under the debris crying for an urgent help, two men struggling with each other to survive, an officer in vigilance with fear on his face, the screaming of a desperate man, a child wandering in innocence as they watch the city in flames these were voices that echoed in my mind. The scenes in a variety of terror,fear, destruction and malevolence...This was the apocalypse that came upon to the world.

"A-Ahhh! stop!...haaaa...haaaa..Aaaaah!" I was panting trying to access the memories flooding into my brain like a gust of a breaking memory and my sanity being broken by the passing time.

There she came out of the shadow, a dark viel on her not revealing the face of hers as it reached down to her collar bone and dressed in black like the midnight sun, sparkling dots like glitter on her black dress symbolising the stars, a circlet made up of diamond on her head, bracelets that float around her wrist and ankles that are also diamond, she floats then pointed her finger at me. Everything calms down the gushing memories of the apocalyptic world with the screams of people was gone in my head when I gaze upon her her hair was the colour of white with shades of navy blue down to the ends of her hair being long going to ankles with skin like porcelain colour so pale.

"You're a woman??"

"I'm not obliged to answer your queries"

I bite my lip from irritation, what does she mean?

"Don't be angry I'm just here to play with you"

"Don't change the subject and tell me what you want to say"

It was more than I could tolerate, my body was getting lighter the place around us started to quake. Is there something in me that's currently changing it's path?Was it trying to deny the entity in front of me? I looked upon her with stern eyes once more fighting the fear crawling inside me then I calmed my body till the fear vanishes into nothing. Upon looking at my arm and feet it was telling me that my whole body is emitting a yellowish light aura. A crown appeared on my head that seems to be like spikes on the sides.

"What are you-"

My spear was about to cut her neck with incredible speed as if teleporting right beside her but a spark of lightning appears nearing to her neck was that an erected barrier now colliding with the force of my spear.

"God Art, Sword of Amaterasu"

She flinched as I changed position right above her head trying to destroy the barrier directly with the spear transforming into a sword.

Hot flames like the sun emerges from the sword.

Stabbing the sword to her barrier it made a sound of cracking from the force of my sword then it was destroyed and she dodged teleporting fifteen metres away from me.

"God Art, Current of Triton"

Slashing horizontally in consecutive attack of waves of blue water that's condensed came to her direction like tides of current. She gasped reaching her hand out to erect her barrier to the six consecutive slashes of waves but got destroyed to the fifth and the sixth hitting her.

"Ah!-"

I grabbed her quickly and leaped highly and let her go.

"God Art, Fist of Hercules"

The sword that I brought from another space vanished in thin air.

My fists were gripping hard with the intent of killing this being, my anger solidifying in the passing seconds then hit the stomach of her body being blown downwards and as soon as she hit the very barrier the white space floor cracked from the force of my fist being punched to her. My sword re appears turning into a bow in an instant.

"God Art, Arrow of Artemis the Seventh Heaven Strike"

Large quantity of something like a surge of power was swelling turning from an invisible form to a light forming an arrow then unleashed it to her who was still on the cracked white floor trying to stand.

"Consecutive Atta-"

Bboom!

She was standing with scratches to her body and her head turned towards me which was me above from her floating.

The bow transforms back into a spear.

And again I was moving not to my own will but the more I moved on my own without the directory of thoughts the more it feels like I'm becoming with the wind and all the things around me.

"God Art, Zephyr Might of The Storming Wind"

The wind swirls to the spear accumulating a great power of speed and force, Three barriers are now made above her but I felt like I can pierce through all three of them.

Gripping my spear tightly I throw it with much force with amusement on face. Shock waves from both opposing forces of magic form sparks of lightning till it passed through the first barrier, my hand reached out and pushed the spear more violently as if fueling it even though I'm far.

"So you're supplying it with magic power how impressive"

The second Barrier breaks along with the third then it pierced her chest. Blood trickles out of the fatal wound on her chest as the spear was stuck to her then disappeared into thin air. My body came down a few metres away from her then checked her if she was breathing but to avail no voice came out of her but only silence enveloped this place which was a battlefield minutes ago.

"Time is fleeting I should go back"

I felt a sudden pulse when I turned around the dead body that I just killed.

Ba-dump! Ba-dump!

It happened again! the pulse was getting greater than I expected to the point of no return...before I know it I collapsed with seeing the body of that woman laying on the ground being dead. My eyes got drowsy then closed them fully.

"Did you had a nice Sleep?" She asks as she was choking me what just happened? didn't I killed her with a spear? Why is my neck on her arms? my body struggles as both of my arms were now holding her wrists. They were strong like chains of unyielding strength it was so much daunting that I couldn't break from her strength.

"Unhand me! Ugh!" Gritting my teeth seemingly to crush her wrist with my own hands but it couldn't budge.

"How was your dream? was it good? Did you think I'd let you do your consecutive attacks right away at me?"

I...I was dreaming? all those movements that I made? was it all illusions? what is truly happening? Am I high on drugs?when did her spell took place?her grasps lets go of me and my breathing was unlike before she had thrown me unto the white floor crashing down resulting cracks on the space. I was coughing and panting from these actions of the woman.

"You!-" I glared at her as her hand hold unto my chin lifting them up yet I still couldn't see her face covered in dark veil.

"You can't ever hope to defeat me you know?do you know how hilarious you were struggling as you were sleeping young man?"

I trembled at the thought of it whether it was true or false it was still something that happened. All of the things that I've done with the techniques was felt like a real event yet I mustered whatever strength that was left in me, in the end it was all in vain.

"You will die"

"What?"

I was stunned by her words trying to process it. Was the truth was hiding behind lies of her lips? my eyes stuck to her, anger filled me once again and blood boiling but I couldn't move even if I wanted to for there was a leftover... a delay of immobility.

"Lies!"

"Lies? why would I lie? what's the reason of lying? tell me? whatever it was that leads to your death is not a fault that I can bare"

"I-"

I couldn't refute her words at all, the denying of death was the feeling I held inside me, my heart beats began to beat faster in nervousness, I don't know what was her objective but it meant something as to appear so suddenly.

"I have told you now your memories of this time of us meeting and battling will disappear"

Her hands holds held my face as I was still processing her words now I am confused. Her hand felt like an ice cold death that were grabbing my own life it sent shivers to me. This was her own power in truth she was holding back the whole time for the reason of her not attacking back.

"But don't worry your heart will never forget"
