Distracted
Gu Xin Ye heaved a sigh in relief once Zhang Yu Han had left the kitchen. She didn't realize that putting on a professional smile on her face and pretending as if she had not done anything with Qin Zhan in the walk-in chiller would be so tiring.
She was mentally and physically drained.
But then, she had promised to have a meal with Zhang Yu Han and his wife.
Gu Xin Ye did not know if she could still play pretend in front of Qin Zhan's friend.
She still has to head home early and rest before tomorrow's company event.
Gu Xin Ye turned to Qin Zhan and saw the teasing smile on his face. It seemed that a certain someone was having fun with her suffering.
"See, I told you that Yu Han would not mind," Qin Zhan said. He reached to caress Gu Xin Ye's cheek. "Are you still anxious?"
Gu Xin Ye pursed her lips into a thin line. "How can I not be anxious? Don't you know that Zhang Yu Han is a scary person?"
