Looking at the panel, Henrique thought it would be more viable to invest some points in luck and others in agility.
Without luck, you're cold, without the speed to escape or dodge, you're cold too, so after a few minutes of reflection, he invested five in luck and five in agility.
Walking to his house, or actually Bob's house, he entered the old hut and was greeted by a middle-aged man sitting in an armchair with a scowl on his face.
"You disobeyed my word, boy. You said you wouldn't hunt without my permission, you could have been killed!"
Bob said, his voice scolding Henry, but he was just worried.
"Bob, I needed real experience, I've been training with firearms and unarmed combat for three months, I can handle myself, tabom?"
"YOU WHAT? YOU MISERABLE BASTARD, YOU'RE NOT EVEN OUT OF DIAPERS AND YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! YOU COULD HAVE DIED! I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU, YOU LITTLE BOY!"
Bob shouted, getting up from the armchair with a mixture of anger and concern on his face.
"Look Bob, I'm sorry, I really did lose my temper and break our word but if you want to continue our discussion I'd rather you left it until tomorrow because I'm very tired...."
Henrique ended up sighing tiredly and walking towards the bathroom, running away from the argument.
When he woke up and opened his eyes, Henrique remembered the fight with the rugaru.
He couldn't believe that he had actually fought a supernatural being and won.
He begins to recall some memories from the series, some of the artifacts he can obtain, most of which are protected by powerful entities.
Some time later, he gives up going after the artifacts, since carrying such equipment without sufficient strength is just suicide.
After having a coffee, Henrique decides to read some books about monsters to accumulate knowledge until he sees Bob leaning against the door looking at him.
"Son, I'm sorry for yelling and getting out of control yesterday, I guess I worried about you too much, I know you're an adult but I intend to repay you for yesterday with a little present..."
Still incredulous that I'm going on a hunt with Bob, this is really going to help me level up.
I thought with a smile on my face, looking again at the target's information in the newspaper, "Multilated and heartless victim, possible case of animal attack."
Possibly a werewolf with almost zero chances for other creatures, while thinking about possible plans I hear Bob say that we arrived in the small village with the houses closed, clearly because of the brutal murder.
We were on the lookout all night, taking different shifts, but nothing unusual happened.
"I'm not sure if I want to be part of the plot with the Winchester brothers or just help out when necessary."
But I soon realized how difficult it would be to try to save the world alone, if this was one of Chuck's drafts then it would be better to ally myself with the brothers to avoid the worst.
The sound of a woman's scream wakes me up from my tupor, I look at Bob, who is already awake next to me, and we both get out of the car and follow the scream that leads us down a dark alley.
"What the hell", I think as I observe the tall, robust man in a leather jacket who was surrounding a woman.
He clearly looked like a normal human being, if it weren't for his ten-centimeter claws and wolf-like teeth.
But the most striking thing was certainly the red color on the top of his head as I watched, which made me understand the level of danger Henrique was in.
Without saying a word, I drew my gun with silver bullets. Before I squeezed the kitten, I missed the presence of the wolf in front of me.
Only to see it coming from my left blind spot, at a higher speed than a normal human, but with the addition of agility points I was able to react to its claw blow aimed at my throat.
Taking a few steps back, I pull out a silver dagger from under my jacket and run towards the werewolf, aiming for his heart only to feel the empty blow after a sideways dodge.
I feel a slight breeze and a cutting sensation in my stomach. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to react in time, I thrust my dagger sideways.
Reducing the impact, but the remaining force threw me back several steps, spitting thick blood on the ground.
"Damn it, even though I defended the blow with the silver dagger, the shock still made my internal organs move with the force of the blow"
Henrique thought, circling the bloody dog man.
"You're pretty fast for a hunter, I'm sure you have a delicious heart."
"Can you talk?could only grunt and bark!"
I provoke the enemy, who has completely forgotten the presence of Bob Singer, who was already stealthily behind the werewolf after he had finished helping the attacked woman.
The werewolf, totally enraged by my provocation, doesn't notice my presence until Bob pulls out his gun and shoots the werewolf in the heart, who barely manages to dodge the deadly attack and the shot only hits him in the chest.
Without missing a damn chance, I make a quick dash, focusing all the strength I can muster and surpassing any speed I've ever achieved.
"MOREEER!!!"
Using all my strength, I cut its neck with a sideways slash. Veins appeared on my arms and I gave a hoarse shout to gather all my strength.
The werewolf, wounded by Singer's attack, was unable to keep up with my momentary burst of speed.
He was only able to react when his head separated from his body, thus decreeing his death, his face incredulous at having died to an inexperienced young hunter.
[ Congratulations on killing a werewolf XP 40% ]
I take a deep breath, showing all my fatigue from this hunt, it was totally different from the rugaru where the monster totally let its guard down and was killed for its carelessness.
This hunt was a death struggle between two beings for survival, any hesitation would have cost me or my companion their lives.
"Son, you're an excellent hunter. I've never seen such a burst of speed in a novice hunter!"
Returning home, Henrique rests on the sofa watching a baseball game and recovering from his battle injuries.
Thinking back to when he arrived in this world, fear and excitement were his feelings and now seeing Bob next door drinking and laughing...
He wants to change the fate of this friend, whom he has helped and welcomed. With a strong will, he sets out on a new path, a new goal: to become strong enough to protect himself and everyone around him.
