Chapyer 4 Life amongs Dragons

I grabbed my new set of clothes along with the excess gems and began changing back in our room. Though I did get distracted with Elise teasing the living daylights out of me. I was barely able to not make a complete fool of myself.

I have to admit I loved our new clothes. I am actually donning Siegharts Prime knight clothes only slightly different, for one it's blue, second a have greaves and sabatons, and finally a vambrace and gauntlet on my right arm.

For Elise I have kept it at it's prime but with vambraces.

Now that we are armored we need better weapons. A valyrian steel sword would be perfect but I wouldn't say no to a forge. I had fashioned a bag for the gems out of dragon leather, so that we may carry them with us.

Elise and I traveled for sometime across the ruins. Finding nothing. We went westward noticing how more buildings that seemed more like stores and the like in that direction.

We did though found some forges, but far too damaged to be used. And so we continued.

We had to stop when we heard a couple of roars. Seeing nothing we turned upwards, also nothing.

We then jumped on instinct, and a dragon came at me from below. It was as big as Drogon once fully grown.

I was soon in between his jaws but before he could clamp it closed, I used an air burst, propelling me outside of it's reach. I then created a Carian Greatsword, and held it downward as I dropped. The dragon then sunk back in to the lava and swatted me away with it's tail fin. I can't dodged, so I formed a swirling bubble around me and at the same time aiming my free hand towards the attack and released a huge air blast in an attempt to blast myself away from the fin.

*BANG!*

I was hit, then I was launched across a building unto another landing with my back planted at the the fifth wall I went through. My armor held, but it's energy levels was depleted badly. I lost 20% from that attack alone, and that was after softening the blow the best I can.

I saw Elise fighting another one of the same kind. Launching arrows and spell swords that looks more to irritate the dragon than harm it.

I kicked myself off the wall and ran towards the opponent. I landed on a roof of a mansion I believe, and then I reshaped the greatsword to a greatbow and performed Loretta's Mastery, launching ice infused arrows unto the dragon.

*BBBOOOMMM!!!*

*RRRROAAAAARRRRR!!!!!* It works!!!

I saw several pieces of rock fall from it, revealing a pinkish skin.It was easy to theorise that it uses the magma as armor. That theory was made evident when it performed magic aswell. Instead of breathing fire, this dragon gathered a ball of magma floating just outside of it's mouth.

I quickly releassed another volley this time aiming for the exposed skin. *BOOOMMM*

*ROOAARRRR* It was bleeding, and his attack was halted causing the magma to just flow back into the river. 'Slow.' I thought

I then reshaped the bow again back to greatsword but this time I added the ice element, making it look like Adula's Moonblade. I can't launch projectiles from it but my attacks should be just as effective.

I launched myself forward and begun attacking at it, every time I hit it's flesh it bled badly. It tried to retaliate with it's tri clawed hands. But I didn't hesistate to strike his arms aswell further removing his armor. Our clash shoom the very roof I stood on. I feared falling down for a moment when I saw cracks began to form. Though clashing myself against a dragon's arm was a bad idea. My armor depleted by 15%. But I pushed on. Over time much of it's armor is gone and I could attack at it freely.

The dragon, after receiving a lot of cuts retreated back to the lava. It swam underneath it, it's back fin only showing in between moments and for only brief periods of time. It stayed there for some time. Globs of lava poured out like fountains towards me. I dodged, constantly moving. Minutes later it quieted.

And then it resurfaced again, a good distance from me. It was at a elevated position. It began to gather a ball of lava again. The weak spots are not visible around it's neck and body. Not being able to hit it's weak spots I aimed for the ball with Ice infused arrows. Three volleys of Loretta's Mastery had turned the ball of lava into Ice. One more shot, and it exploded against the dragon, sending shards of ice against it's face. Hearing it release a roar of pain, I couldn't stop the smirk frkm leaving my face. With a gurgling roar, it dove towards the lava and then silence came over again. Suddenly it dove from the lava, across the roof I was standing on. Spraying lava everywhere.

I crouched low letting my sword graze across it's body. All the while forming another swirling bubble of magic around me in defense of the lava being sprayed all around. But I didn't do any damage, much to my annoyance, it has regenerated it's armor already. Still a chunk of it's armor is gone. So I went back to the frey. Before I could reach it it suddenly roared and it became engulfed in fire. I noticed the wounds burn closed with each passing second, but the scars remained.

He can be injured but he won't be bleed to death. So I ended but bombarding him with Ice infused arrows. Our exchange went on for several minutes. I was wasn't even sure if I was winning. He seemed cautious and more powerful.

Creating balls of fire the size of a person from his fiery aura and launching it at me. Not to mention he constantly whittles down the very ground I stand on with every swipe of his arms that constantly splashes lava around. And again I can't stand too close because there is this move that when he roars, spikes of fire rushes out of the small pools of lava. My armor has lost 45% power already.

But that doesn't mean I was loosing either. My arrows, he cant dodge so easily, there's too many and instead of piercing arrows imbued with ice, I use explosive arrows imbued with ice. All it takes is a single graze and it explodes. He used to guard but my relentless barrage has damaged his arms. He regeneratss his armor but at a small pace. Despite closing the wounds, the damage to it was still there. And so our exchange continued. Until I heared 'her' roar.

I looked towards Elise's direction and saw she was in what I had called 'Hero Mode'. The ground beneath her is cracked like a spiderweb and she was releasing her mana all over her. Red motes of light fly around her, and her red hair as if on fire. This is more of a secondary gear for her. I know there is still another level to this one. One she swore to use only in desperate times.

A spike of fear flowed through me. I have to kill this monster quick.

The dragon she was fighting was cut severely already. Though her's can't seem to close it's wounds, it's armor is still regenerating. I was about to launch an arrow at the back of Elise's opponent, but I stopped myself. I know if I can't deliver a killing blow, it might leave indeffinitely. And we have no means to chase it. That and I have no intention of obtaining my beloved's ire. I know and trusted her enough. I can't doubt her now.

So I focused on fighting the beast before me. When it was getting badly injured, it then sunk back on the magma. We began the same dance once again. But this time multiple splashes was pouring in. Though it covered more area it also lost it's potency, so I used my greatsword to defend myself since the pools of lava is increasing too much to the point I might get cornered. It quieted, I in turn waited.

I heared a bubbling on my left, I reshaped the Greatsword into a lance and I aimed it upward creating a ball of compressed wind at the tip of the handle.

When the dragon dove across the building once again, I used 'Hero Time' and then aimed. It's dive was as before, twisting sideways clawing at the platform in an attempt to hit me. I aimed to it's eyes and then released the wind bomb, propelling the lance in great speed. Underestimating the power I had put into it, I was launched across the roof and ended up holding on to the roof's edge. Just as I was about to fall to the magma, I heared two roars consecutively along with a booming sound and a squelching sound.

Quickly pulling myself upward I saw that my dragon was half way burried unto the magma. It was dead. I jumped off the roof, across the floating rocks and rushed to Elise and saw her on her knees, breathing heavily as the last motes of red vanished around her. I moved towards her as fast as I could. As I got closer I noticed that her dragon had several spell swords burried in it's weak spots. Along with a carian greatsword at it's forhead. Her own steel sword was cracked and bent.

Once I reached her I checked for any injuries.

"I'm fine." She laughed.

I just smiled at her. "I had to be sure. Now... take off your clothes." I said as seriously as I could.

She was surprised for a second until a blush crept up to her face "Hahaha... You ain't gonna get that lucky so easily."

"... worth a shot" I chuckled. I then held her tightly. As she did me.

We just stood with each other after checking for any injury and catching our breaths. I looked at her and saw her untouched. Turns out her armor held, though she was hit twice losing 3/5 of her magic to it. She had to rely on armaments to her sword since adding ice element to her spells or sorceries was taking too long.

While resting I checked on the dragon's corpses. Though much parts are the same along with the eyes which I will obviously be taking, it was it's skin that was a great find. Fire Resistance. It's perfect for this place. I immediately begun cutting away at it. I then transfigured it to be a cloth underneath our current ones, serving as a skintight suit. The best part of this was it's innate functions. It keeps the heat out and the cold in. So it's cool and comfortable compared to leather skintight suits. Because of it's innate enchantment it can only hold one more. I turned it to a portable battery. It absorbs ambient magic, both foreign and natural. Granting a very small magic resistance but over all stores it. The stored magic can later be used to either serve as power for a single spell or charge the magic on our armor. It's PERFECT!!!

Once done, fed and rested. We went back to our search seeing as it was only noon.

Elise needs a weapon fast. I gave her mine but even I ain't sure how long that would last.

We ran into 4 more dragons but significantly weaker. We were able to deal with them easily enough and their parts are useless compared to what we have right now. So we continued on.

Luckily enough we saw a forge in one of the towers. Located halfway to the top of the towers. Our reserves are too low and so we decided to rest.

We checked in every room and saw the luxury within. Sofas and beds made of gold with velvet seats and futons covered with white silk blankets and pillows. Carpets, statues, even a crystal chandelier. It was obviously for the wealthy. All the dirt, grime and dust we happily blasted off with a cleaning spell. We looked around and saw the wealth of the dragonlords for ourselves.

But at the top of the tower lied our price.

In the middle of it, a skeleton donning a set of valyrian steel armor. And curled around it was not a big dragon. As big as a bus for sure, but not as big as the first demonic dragon I fought, nor those pair of Lava dragons. Those guys was as big as Drogon.

It had two pairs of wings, four legs and spiked tail. And scales as white as snow.

This was no deformed dragon. . . This is a real Dragon.
