Chapter 34 - Preparing for a long watch.

Author's Note - Hope you guys enjoy the chapter. And yeah I'm back from my break but I'll be posting chapters much slower than before so please bear with me.

Shawn returned home after his stressful day at school. He went upstairs to his room and landed on his bed before he went to sleep.

Teaching was a very tedious thing to do. It was extremely stressful. Now he pitied his teachers who had to bear with such.

As soon as he landed on his bed his eyes slowly closed before he went into the dream world.

"Good thing that I have nl assignments today" He muttered as sleep overcame him.

At that moment, a system panel appeared in front of him.

*Do you wish to enter your world?*

"Yes" was the word that left his mouth or so he thought.

The panel closed before a bright light flashed in front of him and the scenery changed to that of a dark room.

From the dark room, a tab appeared in front of him and behind the tab was a large screen which revealed to him a round shaped world similar to earth and close to it was an oval shaped world.

"Hmmm. Show me all the quests for Rank 4" He said.

The empty tab began to reveal a series of letters which Shawn carefully read.

Complete all Quests

1 Earn at least 60,000 CP - 35,000/60,000.

2 Witness a new change that occurs in the world of Yorn - 0/1

3 Create 2 new realms for yorn - 0/2.

4 Create new energies to place into the world - As many as you want.

5 Have an overlord being - 0/1.

6 Have Ten races in Ornio - 8/10

7 Complete at least 25 quests - 15/25.

8 Set rules concerning the boundaries beetween Ornio and Yorn - As many as you want.

9 Get overlords from the Yorn Realm - 0/...

10 Watch the next 1000+ years of progress in both worlds - 0/1000.

11 Have an extended realm - 0/1.

12 Have two realm races - 0/2.

As he looked at the quests he began to contemplate on which of the quests he had to complete first. Currently he still had 5,775 CP with him.

He decided to complete the extended realm quest first then he would watch 1,000 years pass by in the world.

To be honest, he intended to watch 1,500 years of world progress and during the process of that he could complete the other quests.

He didn't have time for any research due to how busy he was.

Not to lie, but Richard was quite the inquisitive type and his revision speed was slower than it originally was.

He took a deep breath and focused on what to do "What do you mean by an extended realm?" He asked the system.

*An extended realm is a realm that has a part of it that is made to interact with another realm*

"Alright" Shawn said as he touched the interface panel and clicked on realms.

The screen changed it's view from the visual worlds to the information about the world of ornio.

"How do I create an extended realm?" He asked.

*You can create an extended realm by tapping on the realm you want to extend and click on "Extend realm"

*Now that you have two worlds under your control. You can upgrade a realm to have effect on more than one world and you can extend a realm to have interaction with another realm.

Once a realm becomes extended to another realm. Part of it's energy can be made to go into the realm it has been extended to and vice versa. But this extension bridges both of the realms involved together*

Name of World - Ornio.

Population of Sentient Beings - 400,000

Number of Higher beings - 8

From the world info, shawn went to the realms section and clicked on the realms section before the screen changed to show the realms of Ornio.

Shawn clicked on the Jury realm. The tab changed to reveal info about the jury realm.

Realm - Jury Realm

World - Ornio

Purpose - Judging the souls of the dead.

Race - Soul Hunters.

He clicked on 'extend realm' at the bottom of the tab.

*Which realm do you want to extend the jury realm too and how will this place be involved and affected by the interaction?*

"I want to extend the jury realm to the higher being realm. This extension will cause a weird dark fog to appear in certain areas of both realms which have been affected by the extension. This extension will act as the gateway to both realms and also contain soul energy"

*Ding* To implement this, you will have to pay 500 CP to extend the jury realm*

"Alright" Shawn said and the next moment, he heard the sound of coins being withdrawn and sighed.

"This system truly loves to rip me off" He thought.

*That's the way I was programmed*

"Damn it!"

The Higher Being Realm, in a vast plain filled with the riches of nature sat eight figures who were all doing their own thing.

The peaceful atmosphere suddenly became tense as a dark fog appeared and expanded towards the eight figures.

The sudden appearance of the thick black fog made the higher beings alert and quick to respond.

At that moment, a giant eye appeared in the sky and a voice followed after it. "There is no need for that" The voice said.

The higher beings who understood that it was their creator talking stopped and got on their knees.

"Master Shawn, Forgive me but if I may ask why should we not?" Ikdo asked.

"The dark fog is the bridge beetween the jury realm and the Higher Being Realm. With this fog you can absorb a part of the energy that is within the jury realm without entering it" The voice answered.

"So this fog the extension to another of the realms within the world?" asked Kadan.

"Yes" The voice replied.

"And there is energy in the fog you are free to try and absorb it. If you dare?" The voice added before chuckling as the eye disappeared.

The eight higher beings looked at the dark fog in suspicion and curiosity.

After a few minutes of contemplating, Kadan was the first to walk towards the dark fog. The other higher beings stood alert and watched intently as Kadan entered the fog and began his inspection.

Kadan sat down on the grass that was covered in the dark fog and concentrated on absorbing energy from the fog. He felt that the energy that he was absorbing was ethereal in nature.

After a while, he opened his eyes and waved his hand towards the other higher beings.

"The energy is strange but it is not harmful come let us explore it together" He said cheerfully.

Himlo was the next to come forward after hearing Kadan's outburst. Slowly, the other higher beings came and before they knew it all eight of them were in the dark fog.

"The implementation of doubt is a very strong thing" Shawn who was still watching all that had happened.

The jury realm would not be the first one to have it's realm extended into the higher being realm. Shawn wanted the other realms that will follow to have an extension into the higher being realm.

He wanted the higher beings to be powerful entities and that included improving

*Congratulations you have completed the quest of having an extended realm. You have received 1,000 CP*

"System how much will it cost to upgrade a realm?" He inquired.

*1,500 CP*

"Alright. I have no interest in upgrading any of the realms yet" Shawn said.

"Ahh yes. System are my free slots for races available now?" Shawn asked.

*Yes* The system replied.

"Perfect" Shawn smiled at the response.

He could finally place the final two races that he had been wishing for.

He switched back from realms to Ornio's world info and changed the screen to show the continents in the world.

"Time to add a few more features before I start watching 1,500 years of world progress" Shawn muttered as he got to work.

This time his focus was the two continents in the east. He intended to leave one of the continents untouched by any race and that was the south western continent filled with four major biomes which were plains, grasslands, taiga's and forests.

This continent was recently made.

As for the north western continent which was filled with a few active volcanoes as well as some arid regions but also possessed rare minerals and some large highlands as well as fertile coasts.

Shawn smiled as a tab appeared in front of him and he began to design his desired races to add to the world of Ornio.

He was planning on putting both races in the north western continent and see what they could evolve to and how they will survive.

After all, it was going to be a long watch.
