Chapter 3 - Trying out basic skill on a villain?

"I choose Self-defense skill!" Akira said after a while. Since she couldn't unlock her quirk for now, she could use some skill to defend herself. After all, this world wasn't very safe.

*Basic skill self-defense is acquired. You can now upgrade your skills and attributes by practicing hard. So, please work hard, Akira-chan.*

"Okay. Show me my stats, System."

Seeing her attributes in a game-like interface, Akira was quite amazed. She could understand the attributes like strength, stamina, attack power, health and intelligence but as for charisma, she wasn't sure how to improve that.

"System, how do I improve my charisma points?"

*You need to meet more characters and leave good impressions on them. According to the level of impression, your charisma points will be increased.*

Sludge villain was having a terrible day. He had tried to take over a student's body only to be stopped by the Symbol of Peace. But, he had been lucky enough to get away from All Might and a certain blonde had kicked the bottle he had been trapped inside open. He had managed to get out of the bottle and then, tried to take over the blonde's body. He almost succeeded when the blonde passed out from lack of air in his lungs. Then, All Might came and smashed him into pieces. However, he had managed to get away from the scene as All Might had to rescue the blonde and make sure he is okay first. His day was full of obstacles, wasn't it? But now, he was really determined to take over someone successfully.

Without knowing any of these, Akira walked leisurely. She was now walking to Bakugo's house to see Bakugo Mitsuki since she's her aunt and she obviously didn't have anyone else to rely on at this moment. As for how she got the address, System gave it to her saying it was actually included in her rewards.

When she was near a tunnel, the sludge villain came out of his hiding place to attack her. It gripped her neck first and then, tried to suffocate her by covering her nose and mouth with his liquid body.

'I have to do something..' She thought. She wasn't strong enough to throw punches after punches and smash the villain into pieces but she had above-average dexterity and stamina.

'But he has a strong grip and I can't get away from him first meaning my dexterity can't be an advantage right now...I need some way to losen his grip.." She thought harder as she was slowly feeling suffocated from the lack of air. "If I can get more strength to hurt him somewhere, he might losen his grip for a moment. Then, I can try to get away with my speed. Even if I can't get away, I can stall some more time until a hero arrives..'

She tried to grab and punch the sludge villain.

"Don't struggle too much. If you don't have enough strength, struggling is futile. It's not like your punches are effective against me." The villain laughed.

'My puches are not enough as expected... But, wait! Punches are not enough but my legs are stronger than hands, though. I should try kicking him hard?' As soon as she understood that, she tried to kick the sludge villain as hard as she could. It might not hurt too much but it was a surprise attack for the villain. His hands loosened for three seconds which had just gave Akira enough time to escape from his grip.

Just after escaping from his grip, she didn't run right away. Because if she ran away by giving her back to the villain, she would just get captured again. Instead she kept an eye on the villain. So, when the villain tried to grab her again, she dodged. Her strength lies in dexterity and stamina so she didn't have much problem in dodging for a few minutes.

*Akira chan is fighting a villain. Mission Triggered. Defeat the Sludge villain. Since this is your first battle in this world, rewards will be Two random stat points.*

"This is so convenient?" Akira murmured. Then, shook her head. This wasn't the time to think things like this. She needed to fight the villain until the heroes arrived either way so why not go all out and figure out a way to defeat the villain? She thought as she paud more attention to the villain.

"Shit! If this keeps up, I'm gonna get caught by that All Might!"

The villain was impatient as he constantly tried to capture the girl again.

Akira was dodging and looking for the villain's weakness at the same time. She noticed how the villain transformed his liquid body into various shapes.

The eyes..

It was the eyes which is solid.

If she could aim for it with some strength constantly, the villain would feel immense pain and his field of vision would be greatly distracted.

So, she kept dodging and tried to hit or kick the villain in the eyes everytime she got a chance. Her strength was below-average so one or two punches didn't do much damage. But, as she kept attacking the same spot again and again, the villain felt piercing pain as if his eyes are going to get smashed into pieces. He couldn't even see his target clearly, now.

"You...how can you..do that..?"

The sludge villain asked her. She wasn't even using a quirk and she doesn't look like one. Although she was faster than normal people, that wasn't an amazing -level faster.

"It's called basic self-defense." Akira replied bluntly as she kept attacking the villain in his eyes.

"....."

The battle continued for ten minutes. When some patrolling heroes arrive at the scene, a girl was sitting on the ground and breathing heavily. A sludge was lying on the ground with red eyes and sludges were coming out of his eyes. He was mumbling a sentence over and over again.

"I can't fight with this crazy girl anymore..."

"...."

Akira was quite speechless. Hadn't he attack her first? She only attacked him in self-defense! But now that he was mumbling like this, wouldn't she look like a villain !??

As expected, a police officer comes up to her and said, "You need to come to our police station to answer some questions, please, this way."

"...."

Akira almost groaned. This had gotten troublesome. But, at least she got two stat points. She consoled herself as the system notified her of the rewards.

*Mission completed. Two stat points had been added to Dexterity. You have also leveled up your mastery in self-defense skill and some stats had been improved in the process. Do you want to check it?*

As the system interface showed her stats, Akira frowned. There had been a lot of changes. For example, there are mastery points now and her stats in dexterity, stamina, strength and attack power had improved. She had 5.5 in dexterity before but now she had 7.6. According to System, two random stat points had been added to dexterity so it should've been 7.5 rather than 7.6. But, again, she only had 3.2 strength points but now she had 3.3. So, it must be related to mastery points, somehow. The more she masters the self-defense skill, the more stat points will she have? There is also this attack power stats. She initially guessed that it showed how she can attack and it depends on the other three stats, dexterity, strength and stamina. That guess was right? Well, she just had to figure it out later.
