A Friend

Zev pulled back his device a little once he heard that talk from Kaiden. He considered a lot of what his friend had just muttered to be clear gibberish; gibberish in the sense that Kai could even attribute any truth to those nonsense Ian had uttered to them back at the Bowling Centre.

Zev could certainly not believe his friend right now because why should he believe any word that prick could ever mutter?

Now, he also believes that Ian has an idea of Jake's whereabouts?!!

'Way to go, Kaiden!'

Zev put his phone back in his ear and sucked in his spit for a second.

''Can you seriously listen to yourself talk?''

''Yeah. Why?''

Kai did not understand why his friend would ask him such a ridiculous question.

Zev shook his head at his end.

''You know what? Fine! I'm going to believe that you talked with your dad's bodyguard. Be it over the phone or face to face, that bit of info doesn't seem to bug me much.''
