Color fills the battlefield once more, a ray of light shines on me. I'm positioned between the general and his army with my king and our armor to my back. There I stand born anew with my scythe in my hand, standing as the last bastion to save my kingdom. I raised up my scythe pointing at the enemy general.
"Lets try this again." I said.
"I see you finally show your true self, reaper." The general grunted at me.
"I will save them this time, I have no more words for you." I stated.
I rushed him, noticing my overall speed had changed drastically. I swung my scythe at him, he blocked it with his sword. Pushing his sword back, I swiped him in a semi-circle throwing him into his own army. My speed and strength had increased to levels I can barely control.
He let loose a battle cry and charged me. It was different this time, he was so slow. I could see him taking every small movement, it was like he was in slow motion. I dodged to the right, it was so easy. In a fit of rage he plunged his sword at me once more. This time was different I thought.
I grabbed his sword with my armored gauntlet, refusing to give it up. I used my scythe and cut his sword in half. He jumped backwards almost like a terrified animal.
"I see. I won't hold back anymore reaper." The general warned.
Something began happening to him. Gritting his teeth he started yelling, his body started to change. He grew horns on his head puncturing his helmet, his body doubled in size destroying the plate armor he had on. Skin turning red, nails turning into claws and feet turning into hooves. His eyes were crimson red and staring at me with such ferocious hate I had never seen in a man.
This was no man though. Even his own troops doubted him, terrified to advance towards this demon.
"Lets try this again." He said.
"I will protect my kingdom!!!!" I yelled.
My battle cry echoed throughout the battle field, inspiring my kingdom's troops and breaking the last bit of will the enemy troops had.
"That was it.. The Lion's Roar. Something only a select few humans can do such a thing. So that truly was his father." The king thought to himself.
After the shout my scythe had changed into a shield. It was small and round but robust, it had a pattern on the front. A fierce lion, my soul on my shield.
"Finally, show him your true power. Crush him." I heard from the reaper.
