Although the archer's help was insufficient to make a significant impact on the battlefield, Ayaka's arrows, which crushed bugs onto the ground with each shot, and Lau's thorn vines combined with her [stone blast] more than made up for the lack of support.

Though not as quickly as previously, it appeared that the number of bugs was finally declining, and those that were arriving seemed to be from other areas of the forest. Whatever these bugs were guarding ought to be quite valuable.

Quetzal and Kay were the first to notice eight yellow humanoid figures with lances emerging out of nowhere from behind the phalanx formation. Kay summoned thunder warriors to repel the invaders, while Quetzal leaped forward and crashed into two of the enemies head-on.
