Chapter Five

"What... the actual fuck?" Ripping the sheets off of me, I rush to get out of the bed and back myself up against the wall on the far right side of the room. "Where am I? How did I even get here?!" I whisper in a hushed tone to myself.

As I look around, my surroundings are like something out of a movie, it's elegant and ridiculously large, fill with expensive looking furniture and products. On my side of the room, there's the King size bed was just laying in, it had four posters on it with drapes all around, giving me the ability to close out my surroundings if I truly desired to. At the end of the bed there's a padded bench that looks like I could open up and put extra blankets in. In front and to the left of that, there a flat screen tv and a large 'C' shaped plush couch and coffee table.

There are three doors, leading off to who know where. Two of them on this right side of the room, the nearest being about 5 feet away and the other, on the opposite side of the room. The floor was mostly wood with big rugs covering the general area around the bed and another one underneath couch. Other than the general items in the room, there was no personality to it. Honestly this seemed more like a luxury hotel room rather than a bedroom.

Putting my hands on either side of my head with my elbow facing directly outward, I start to think, "Okay okay okay okay.... come on Nina, what is the last thing you remember..?" I start to pace back and forth on this side of the room, "I remember coming home from college for the summer to spend time with my family.. I remember.... gardening outside with mom and dad... okayyy? I remember-" I stop dead in my tracks, frozen as I replay the events in my head. Looking up, looking at nothing in particular I come to a realization, "... I should be dead... I-" shakily, I bring my hands away from my head, slowly bringing my right arm in front of my face only to see nothing there; there was no bandages, no blood, not even a scar to collaborate with my memory.

"I need a mirror" I say as if I truly believe that my eyes are playing tricks on me. Rushing towards the door closest to me, I pull it open to reveal a bathroom...with automatic lights? 'No, this isn't the time for that' I think to myself shaking my head. Even though this bathroom is ridiculously spacious, I focus at the task at hand. Rushing towards the mirror, I look at my arm to see nothing wrong with it so I decide to change tactics. 'Ezra bit me' I think to myself 'I felt it, I SAW it, there's gotta me something'.

I get as close as the vanity as I can, leaning over the bathroom sink in the process and peer at my neck; like before, there was nothing there, just... nothing. Looking around cautiously, I back out of the room, "I don't know what's going on but I'm sure as hell not staying to find out... there's no way I can stay here, I need to get home,"

As soon as I'm out of the bathroom, I look towards the next two doors, "In order for me to get out here, wherever here is, I need different clothes", snapping my finger I point to the next door and start walking towards it. Reaching for the handle, I prayed this was the closet but I was definitely not ready for what I saw.

Door number two not only lead to the closet but it was HUGE, A walk in closet full of clothes, accessories, shoes, anything you could think of, it was there and everything still had their price tags on them. In any other circumstance, I would be sorting and sifting through everything, not cuz I'm big into fashion, but because this closet has enough items in it to be a store. There's cupboards, small closets, and drawers in here but I don't have time to look through all of it to find something in my style so I go to one of the Racks of dresses and pull out a flowy floral print dress. When I put it on, the dress ended just below my knees in the front but cascaded down the back by my ankles, to say it was beautiful was an understatement, but I didn't have the time to waste by mentally praising the person who stocked this closet full of beautiful clothing; I needed to find some shoes.

Franticly, I start opening each cupboard and every closet only to want to rip each stand of my hair out of my head. The person who stocked the closet forgot one teeny tiny itty bitty detail, THEY ONLY PUT HIGH HEELS IN THE CLOSET! No flats, no tennis shoes, no slippers to be found; no no no... THIS BITCH IS INSANE. Don't get me wrong, I've stood, walked and even ran in heels before but they slow you down and they sure as hell are not very comfortable and trying to leave barefoot is out of the question. I'm god knows where and I don't know the terrain. My best bet would be to leave in heels and if possible, I can take them off later if needs be; some shoes are better than no shoes at this point. I grab not only one of the shortest pair but also the most sturdy I can find, A pair of cream colored Oxford Heels.

I mean, It definitely wouldn't have been my first choice BUT at least it's the most practical ones I could have grabbed. The wide heel will almost always guarantee that I won't get stuck in the terrain as much as I would trying to truck It out of here in stilettos. The nice thing is, there's support though the entirety of the shoe and they won't draw much attention because they match the outfit which in turn gives me the ability to blend in much easier. 'Well that's the hope anyways' I think to myself as I'm double tying my shoes to make my chances of getting out of here go a bit higher but if I'm being honest with myself, my chances of getting out of here successfully are slim at most.

Even if I did, I doesn't mean I wouldn't be dragged back here as soon as I reached my parents house or even before that. I stand up, brushing the imaginary dust off myself and then take a deep breath, "Let's get this bread bitch" I whisper to myself. Walking back into the bedroom, I know it would be a miracle if I got out of here but if I didn't, this is probably the most idiotic thing I could ever do at this point.

I know this is breaking the 'Fourth Wall' and all BUT I know what you're thinking, how could running away from your captor, be a terrible idea? Especially you have a chance to get out of here, even if It's a tiny one. Well,  I'm glad you asked darling. You remember that really expensive room, bathroom, closet stocked with new items? Yeah, most kidnapped victims don't have the luxury that I currently have, most of them get locked up in a basement and have unspeakable things happen to them. Not me though. Honestly, til this point, I've  been treated like a Princess, if i behaved well I could probably get whatever I wanted; well,  other than my freedom of course but I mean we all know that part.

ANYWAYS, because I've decided to piss off a possible crazy person, I may slightly have a wee bit of a chance that I will most likely will die upon my attempt of escape... no biggie or anything.
