'I Know Who You Are'

I was so preoccupied with thoughts about that woman who just helped me stand up earlier when I suddenly felt a tugged in the hemline of my dress as well that made me snap out of my thoughts.
When I looked down to see who it was, the kid, who I helped earlier, looked up to meet my gaze, and a smile was plastered on his face.
"Thank you." said the boy.
Before I could respond to that, I heard someone shouting from behind us which made all of us turn around to see who it was. That's when I saw a frantic woman with reddish hair, pale skin, and a petite figure running her way towards us and suddenly scooping the child in her arms and hugged him tightly. Judging by the situation, I could definitely tell that this is the boy's mother
"Oh my goodness! I was looking all over for you! I thought… I thought I'd lost you!" the woman said and I heard her sobs filling the air.
