Heading Off

He wasn't sure why, but his personality seemed to change slightly. It was like he was getting more arrogant by the day. By the time he got back from venturing the city, it was in the wee hours of the morning. Guess he was going to have to wait to eat until morning. Then after that, he would leave the city and make his way towards the mountains. As soon as he hit the bed, he was fast asleep.

Waking up with a yawn, he changed to his last pair of clean clothes. Seems like he would have to learn how to clean his clothes in the wilderness. He liked cooking, but cleaning, not so much. He went out to eat breakfast and the innkeeper reminded him that he had to leave that day. Knowing this, he just nodded at her and went back to his room. It took awhile, but he finally arranged all his stuff so he could carry it with little to no effort.

Leaving the inn, he made his way to the city gates. He showed his pass to the guards and was finally out of the city. Breathing in the cold air,he smiled and started to make his way into the woods. Sense he was still so close to a city, he thought that there wouldn't be any monsters nearby. Which he was right about.

He traveled for along time until he started getting tired. Being far from the city, but close enough to were theres no monsters, he deemed it safe to camp there. Scouting the area, he found a spot that his tent would be safe to place. It was an area with little to no trees, but the trees were big enough to block out wind and be a sturdy anchor. He started setting up his tent and put all his stuff inside.

Finding some dry firewood, he made a campfire. He took out his fire crystal and lit the fire with it. After putting the fire crystal out, he took one of his steal pots and boiled some snow for water. Searching in one his bags, he was looking for some of the food he bought. "Ah ha." He found a pre-made potato soup. All you needed to do was pour it into some boiling water and let it sit for awhile.

Thinking it would taste better with some meat, he took his old scythe out of the gem. It was still as heavy as always. Though it was old, it still looked like it could "kill." Not knowing how to use it, he just flailed it around trying to catch the few bunnys in the area. He did catch one, but that was all he could manage. Carrying it back to camp, he did his best to prepare it to cook. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.

Taking out a steel frying pan, he put it over the fire and poured some oil on it. He then cooked the meat and added it in with the potato soup. Then letting it sit for a while, he tried to get the bunnys pelt with the scythe. Of course that didn't work, he was so stupid that he forgot to buy a small knife to do this. Sighing, he took it and buried it far away from him so he wouldn't attract to many animals.

When he got back, his soup was done, and he ate it happily. He didn't waste any of it because he was so hungry he ate all of it. After attempting to clean the cookware with snow, he made sure everything was in his tent and went to bed.

He arose to hearing the birds chirping as loudly as possible. It was if they wanted to annoy him so he couldn't sleep. Staying in this little "camp ground" for a while, he decided he needed to start moving again. Looking up at the sky, it looked like there was going to be a heavy snowfall, or even worse a blizzard. Packing up all his stuff, he set out to hopefully find an abandon cabin an uninhabited cave.

By the time he found a cave entrance, the snow had started to pick up making it hard to travel. Making his way to the cave, he hoped that nothing lived in it. If there was, he would either die from frostbite or die from being killed by a monster. Wandering into the cave, it looked empty enough that nothing lived there. Sighing in relief, he looked for the most dry area in the cave and set up camp.

He was to tired to make anything so he just made a fire to keep himself warm and munched on some of the biscuits he "payed" for at the inn. Huddling into his tent and covering himself with all he could, he fell asleep. He awoke by hearing something enter the cave. It sounded like a wolf as it made a low growling noise. Hoping it was just a normal wolf and not an elemental one, he peaked outside his tent. Looks like lady luck was not on his side as it was a frost elemental wolf.

It was grey with blue strikes and covered in ice. It was huge, and it didn't look very happy. As quite as he could, he reached out for his only weapon which was his scythe. He was terrified of it, if that think saw him before he did, he would be dead. Though just like what happened before, he started to calm down a little due to his skill, "Reinforced Mind." Though that alone wouldn't get rid of all his terror.

He grasped his scythe as tight as he could and exited his tent quieter than a mouse. He tip toed over towards the wolf who was still unaware of him. Once he was close enough, be contemplated where to hit it. Not sure where to hit it, he just decided to go for its stomach. He raised his scythe to slash the evil beast but before he could it turned around and saw him.

Huhu, its a cliffhanger, the worst ememy of all. Don't worry you won't be waiting long, I should be able to write the next chapter in the next few hours or tomorrow. Hope whos ever reading this is having a good day.
