I was so shocked..my father left assets for me? when, how ....what is my uncle saying...

I mean I can easily arrange an accident...I don't want it to get to that but it easily solves the problem...I everything will just come to me ...

I heard George saying he can get it for him, and my uncle telling him he can get it himself angrily

I quickly entered the pantry and hide there, Uncle entered the kitchen followed by George...

Uncle Robert, I told you she kept putting it off and like I already said I didn't want her suspicious, George explained again ..

I hope there is no body in this house Uncle Robert asked you know our conversation cannot be heard ..

No there is nobody, the housekeeper went grocery shopping and Trisha went to see one of her bridesmaids.

Ah...she really thinks you are going to marry her, my Uncle said laughing...I must give it to you; you really deceived her.

Well, I kind of like her...she is not....

Don't...my uncle Robert shouted...every trace of laughter gone. Just get the deal done and hand over the documents...she mustn't find out about the inheritance her father left her.

So I had an inheritance....I ...my father left me an inheritance....unbelievable...

As all this was going on in my head, I heard them move back to the living room....when I was sure there was no way they could see me ...I left my hiding place.

One thing is sure, I cannot stay here. I need to get away as far as possible.

When I got back to my flat...I didn't stop to think I just bought out my backpack, took some essentials and took a bus to the nearest city...any where but here I told myself.....

I needed to be far away from this madness... this .. this .....

So I ran...and ran ....that was one week ago. This was my second city I didn't want to stay too long in that city, because I could easily be found.

I left my phone in my flat...knowing that they will be looking for me, since I have not signed the documents...and my phone will be the first thing they will track.

I had an inheritance....my mother had always said my Uncle was lying when he told us that my father left every thing to him...but I was so young I didn't understand it then....

The room was so quiet, I just sat there dazed of what have become of my life in just a week.

Mr Moreson looked at me and said you are safe here, just rest for now and everything will sort itself out.

We have a job for you when you are ready, I am just shocked at all you have said ....I mean your uncle..he is your real uncle right?

Well, half uncle if there is anything like that ..I asked. He shares the same father with my dad

Oh ..they both said ...but it still doesn't follow Mrs Moreson said. I have heard things happen especially if the man doesn't have a male hair but to arrange a fake engagement, involving your emotions...all the desist....that's wicked!

When Mr and Mrs Moreson left the room, Trisha had already snoozed off, with all that crying we were not surprised.

when we stepped out, we immediately saw James standing by the door ..

We moved to the living room together, and I asked him, Son how long have you been at the door.

Maybe, 30 to 40 minutes and I heard almost everything...why will any uncle want to do that to his niece...James asked looking very puzzled

she is so heart broken, her uncle and fiance both schemed to rob her of her inheritance...

I cannot begin to imagine how she is feeling ...it's so sad. we have to help her in any way we can ...Mrs Moreson said looking at her husband

The family of three, sitted in their living room quietly thinking of how such a young girl has gone through so much, her parents are no more ...her relatives are plotting to rob her or even kill from what they heard ...

it's so disheartening....😢😢
