Experience Is Always More Reliable Than Theories

Looking down Lei Xinyi passed a cold smirk and thought, 'I was indeed trying to dissolve the situation which would have been in the favor of everyone present but looks like nobody appreciates good will here!.'

Lei Xinyi calmly lifted her head with a soft smile as the criticism had nothing to do with her.

Bringing her hand to the middle of the table Lei Xinyi picked up the table knife from the stand and examined it. In the sunlight the metal was illuminating. Lei Xinyi smirked, "Aluminum and silver."

Lei Xinyi could feel irritation and itching in her hand due to contact with the knife as she was allergic to silver.

Lei Xinyi held the knife between the tips of her index and middle finger and moved her long fingers causing the knife to make a butterfly fluttering wings and blinking lights.

As everyone was looking at her hand in focus Lei Xinyi said in a calm thinking manner, "Madam Shen, is quite invested in the Li family affairs. In fact she acts like a….. disposable underling. If I didn't know better I would say you were boot licking Madam Li for sucking the Li's resources."

Although Lei Xinyi words weren't directed to anyone, her smirk told tales like she knew a secret.

Lei Xinyi shrugged and threw the knife between her fingers above that went five meters above causing a gasp from everyone, "Shen Chen is an actor who is still new in the industry and you are a designer so…"

As the knife came back down close to Shen Chen who gasped Lei xinyi caught it between her index finger and middle finger with a bored expression and continued twirling the knife…

Her eperty did amaze the socialites present…. As everyone was looking at it in a trance.

All the woman gave Madam Shen disgusted looks and Shen Chen was still in a daze by the knife striking her.

Lei Xinyi smirked provokingly without lifting her head and passed a knowing look to Madam Shen giving the other ladies in the room a suggestion that Lei Xinyi was harboring a secret for Madam Shen.

Madam Li was losing her temper already it was like Madam Shen made her look like gullible and foolish and the lass was fueling the fire of her humiliation.

Madam Shen looked between the accusatory and ridiculing gazes of women who were definitely rejoicing in her misfortune, after all these socialites' were scorpions by nature and couldn't wait for a person to be on their lowest to sting them.

Enraged Madam Shen shouted, "You slut!! How dare you?! What do you think I may be getting, all the Li Family authorities held by the man in the family! There is nothing to suck anyway!"

Lei Xinyi smirked and threw the knife even higher, the knife was swinging in the air making a projectile unlike linear motion that it did the last time.

Lei Xinyi gave a ridiculing look to Madam Shen for a mere half a second. Then she pushed her hand against the table that had her chair falling backward…

When the chair was making a 45 degree angle by the ground Lei Xinyi trapped her stilettos with a sharp front on the table, successfully stopping the fall. When Lei Xinyi looked up she saw the table knife and caught it again at 10 centimeters above her face.

Smirking Lei Xinyi jerked her stuck stilettos and got back in the sitting position and continued twirling the knife in her hand.

All the movements were this fluidly and with such expertise that the table didn't move in all her stunt even a little. People would think she was weightless and swimming in the clouds.

Without looking up Lei Xinyi said slowly, "Oh My! Are you trying to say that Madam Li doesn't have any authority or….. On another thought, how do you so much about the Li Family internal matters? No woman would ever reveal that on her own,. Will she?"

"I… I didn't mean it like that..." Madam Shen Stuttered.

Madam Li who was already on the edge shouted, "Qin Yu, what is the meaning of this?! And who said I don't have any authority?!"

Qin Shi was the name of Madam Shen. Being called like that in front of everyone she turned flustered and was opening and closing her mouth to utter something.

Shen Chen saw her mother struggling clenched her fists and gave a death glare to Lei Xinyi but immediately schooling her features said in her sweet angelic voice, "Auntie Li Mom didn't mean it like that. I am sure Lu Xinyi has some misunderstanding…."

As she was trying to divert the pity blame on Lei Xinyi, Lei XXinyi said in her still calm tone, "Shen Chen loves my fiancé."

The statement caused all the women on the table to look at her in shock, especially Shen Chen whose eyes went wide with shock.

Shen Chen did love him, which woman wouldn't. He was handsome beyond humanity, one of the richest men in the country and then a bachelor too.

95% of the woman in the country wanted to marry him and be the next Mrs. Li, and she was no exception. She had dreamed of him all his life.

She had all the qualities of the next Mrs. Li unlike the spoilt princess Lu Xinyi but still hearing this out aloud reddened her cheeks.

Ignoring everyone reaction Lei Xinyi continued with tranquility, "I did run away. Shen Chen told me how a life of a woman is when she is bound in a loveless life. And I believed her after all…. Experience is always more reliable than theories."

Saying that Lei Xinyi looked with mock pity in her eyes at Madam Shen, which expect her no one noticed.

Everyone knew what Lei Xinyi was indicating that Madam Shen was the previous mistress and the recent second wife of her husband but he still kept other mistresses.

This made their family quite scandalous… Still nobody said that out laud.

Lei Xinyi calmly continued, "Shen Chen once told me that my fiancé doesn't love me."

Finally stopping the movement of the knife Lei Xinyi threw it and in swift every woman saw how it landed easily in the stand.

And as if a trance was broken every woman blinked several times then their dilated pupil shrunk back but only Lei Xinyi noticed it and smirked.
