Training Begins (Part I) - Basic Taijutsu, Basic Ninjutsu and Physique Training

Kenichi woke up at 6:00 am everyday, thanks to his trusty alarm clock. Everyday from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, Kenichi would learn and absorb as much knowledge and theory he could. However, as far as training Chakra is concerned then not much was done.

According to his mother, Kenichi, Naruto and Mito need to first train their Physique, Taijutsu and Shurikenjutsu. Kenichi also learned how to use the sword, although this was taught to him by his father, who knew Kenjutsu. Hina Sarutobi decided that Naruto and Mito did not need to unlock their Chakra for the first 3 months but Kenichi already had his Chakra unlocked and so she decided to teach him the most basic Chakra Control exercise, namely Leaf Concentration Practice. Naruto and Mito started practicing it only after 3 months.

The way to unlock chakra is to first meditate in order to sense the Chakra flowing in the body, before trying to move the chakra. Unlocking chakra basically means, remotely, sensing and manipulating ones own chakra.

After 5 months of starting training, all 3 had great mastery of the Leaf Concentration Exercise. Naruto and Mito had to work many times harder because of their massive Chakra reserves as well as the Kyubi's influence. They were taught the use and importance of Hand Seals as well which Kenichi vowed to master.

The 3 then started learning the most basic Ninjutsu, mostly taught in the academy, namely Body Replacement Technique, Cloak of Invisibility Technique, Clone Technique, Rope Escape Technique and Transformation Technique.

Sasuke naturally joined whenever Itachi wasn't around. Itachi, who was 9 years old, was usually either on missions or training.

By the end of the year, Kenichi had perfected his skills to the limit he could. He also unlocked the Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Kenjutsu sections of the skill tab.

Kenichi also learned that Level Max for every technique is different and thus Level Max can only be achieved when one becomes an expert in the technique.

[Leaf Concentration Practice (Level Max)]

[Description:

This training method is done by placing a leaf over an individual's forehead and having them direct all their chakra onto the leaf, using it as a focal point.

This exercise can be used by Academy teachers as a way to teach students how to control their chakra more effectively. However, the true purpose of the exercise is actually to hone the individual's concentration and to keep their mind from becoming distracted.]

[Body Replacement Technique (Level Max)]

[Description:

The instant before they are to be struck by an attack, the user replaces themselves with a block of wood or something similar. Because the attack does hit something, opponents may briefly believe that they've successfully struck the user.

But this is merely an optical illusion and opponents will quickly notice what's happened. If users are fast enough, they can use this brief lapse in the opponent's attentions to stage a counterattack.

The Body Replacement Technique can evidently only be used in response to what would be harmful attacks.]

[Cloak of Invisibility Technique (Level Max)]

[Description:

The user covers themselves with a cloak that has a color and pattern matching the nearby surroundings, concealing their presence by seamlessly blending in. The user can then gather intel from their position or wait for an opportunity to stage an ambush on unsuspecting targets.]

[Clone Technique (Level Max)]

[Description:

This is a basic technique that every shinobi can use. For this technique, users create one or more afterimages of themselves to move alongside them. Unlike most other clone techniques, these afterimages have no substance and thus are incapable of damaging opponents. Because of this, it is only useful for confusing enemies while other attacks are prepared.]

[Rope Escape Technique (Level Max)]

[Description:

When the user is bound, they do what they can to escape, such as by finding a way to untie the knot or dislocating their joints in order to get free of the bindings. Although this is the most basic of the escape-based jutsu, it is still fairly complicated to perform.]

[Transformation Technique (Level Max)]

[Description:

This technique is most often used to disguise the user as another person, but they can also turn into an animal, plant, or inanimate object.

Inanimate objects are the most difficult to transform into, and users are shown familiarizing themselves with an object's weight and feel before assuming its form. Users will gain the attributes and physical features of whatever they transform into, such as a weapon's sharpness or an animal's fangs.]

Transformation Technique and Cloak of Invisibility Technique were the first E-rank Techniques that reached Level Max. Naruto and Mito who, surprise surprise, started their pranking spree which lead to these techniques being used the most. After all as their friend, how could Kenichi be left behind. It definitely wasn't because Kenichi enjoys pranking.

Rope Escape Technique was the last to reach E-rank, due to it being more complex then the rest.

Although Naruto and Mito had much greater stamina and pure physical strength then him, Kenichi had greater skill. Aside from physical training, Kenichi, Naruto and Mito learned as much theory as possible, although Kenichi far surpassed them in theory. Naruto was just as 'hateful' of theory as in the anime. Mito was better then Naruto in this regard but still dim-witted.

On December 30 123 came the birth of another member of the Sarutobi clan, namely Konohamaru Sarutobi, the second grandson of Hiruzen Sarutobi and cousin of, our MC, Kenichi Sarutobi. His uncle, Yuno Sarutobi, and aunt, Ichika Sarutobi, both seemed happy, which is understandable. Anyone would be happy being a parent.

Kenichi's status by the end of the one year timeframe had increased greatly. By focusing on the parameters, Kenichi realized that the maximum stat a human can reach for physical parameters in 10.

Kenichi also tried focusing on the Yonggan (First Stage) and realized the perks he gained. In order to progress to the next stage, Kenichi believes he has to master using the first stage completely.

[Yonggan (Dragon Eyes)(First Stage){11% proficiency}]

[Description:

Eyes of unknown origins. It automatically awakens between the age of 4 to 12, though the faster it awakens the stronger the users Yonggan is. It has 3 total stages of evolution. As it's proficiency increases and it evolves, its abilities also increase.

First Stage gives access to:-

1. Enhanced Perception

2. Increased Chakra Control

3. Increased Genjutsu mastery and effectiveness

4. See across extreme distances with high levels of detail

5. Enhanced information processing]

On a side note, Kenichi learned many theory subjects such as Mathematics, Trap-making, Shinobi Tactics, History etc. He also learned Chakra Theory, Jutsu Theory, Taijutsu Theory, Medical Theory etc. This was made possible because of the Yonggan which not only increases his reading speed but also his understanding speed.

Combining every theory book and memory knowledge Kenichi had, Kenichi had a deep understanding about many topics.

(Author's Note: The rest of the chapter is just an overview about Chakra and Jutsu types. I put this for people who don't have a complete understanding of Naruto's Chakra Power System. It is not necessary for the story so you can skip it safely.)

Chakra is basically life energy (innate in all living beings). Humans originally did not have Chakra but later, a man called the Sage of Six Paths spread Chakra to all Humans.

Chakra is created when two primal energies, known collectively as one's "stamina", are molded together. Physical energy is collected from each of the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy (Mental Energy) is derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience. These two energies becoming more powerful will in turn make the created chakra more powerful and bountiful.

Chakra is essential to even the most basic jutsu. Through various methods, the most common of which is hand seals, chakra can be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire, or creating illusions. Chakra is ordinarily not visible to the unaided eye unless it is highly concentrated or manifested in large amounts. This is rarely seen due to the restrictions of eight specific tenketsu known as the Eight Gates, which limit the amount of chakra an individual can release at a single given time.

Jutsu are the mystical arts a ninja will utilize in battle. To use a technique, the ninja will need to use their chakra. By forming hand seals, the ninja is able to manifest the desired technique. Because of the extensive number of hand seals and different combinations, there are thousands of potential techniques to be discovered.

There are three basic types of techniques: Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu. Subcategories exist, including Fuinjutsu, Juinjutsu and Senjutsu. There are also Kekkei Genkai abilities which aren't techniques, but inherited abilities passed down through certain clans, however, they can be used as base for certain techniques, such as Haku's Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals. Kekkei Genkai can also be attributed to certain parts of the body, such as Dojutsu.

Without proper control of their chakra, a ninja will produce ineffective or weakened technique which will lead to them running out of chakra early in a fight. To manipulate their chakra more easily, hand seals can be used. With these hand seals, users can control their chakra and technique with higher efficiency. Different techniques require different hand seals.

Ninjutsu is one of the three main jutsu categories. Ninjutsu is the most nebulous of the three, and may most simply be described as anything that is not Genjutsu or Taijutsu. Most ninjutsu require chakra and hand seals, but this is not always the case since the mere usage of weaponry qualifies as ninjutsu.

Genjutsu is one of the main jutsu categories which uses chakra. Unlike ninjutsu, the effects of genjutsu are not real, being only sensory illusions experienced by those who fall victim to it.

Taijutsu is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimization of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. It typically does not require chakra, though chakra may be used to enhance its techniques. Taijutsu generally requires no hand seals to perform, occasionally making use of certain stances or poses, and are far quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is, simply put, hand-to-hand combat.

Shurikenjutsu pertains to techniques that entail the throwing of shuriken, kunai, senbon, or any other number of bladed, hand-held weapons. Shurikenjutsu can be used in combination with Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and/or chakra flow in order to create more devastating techniques. Additionally, Shurikenjutsu can pertain to techniques used through ninjutsu-made weapons.

A ninja's use of weaponry in combat is known as Bukijutsu. All ninja use a weapon at some point in their careers, but not all do so regularly.

Barrier ninjutsu is the incorporation of barriers into techniques. Essentially these techniques allow the users to manipulate barriers. The user can erect barriers that can be used to protect themselves, or to trap an opponent, amongst other various uses.

Cooperation ninjutsu is the combination of two or more jutsu to create a new jutsu with a strength greater than the sum of its components. This "strength" can be measured in terms of the new Jutsu's range or destructive power.

Fuinjutsu are a type of jutsu that seal objects, living beings, chakra, along with a wide variety of other things within another object. Fuinjutsu can also be used to restrict movement or unseal objects either from within something or someone.

Hiden or simply "secret" techniques are passed down from generation to generation in certain regions or clans. The groups who possess these techniques are usually extremely secretive about them in order to ensure that no one other than the members of the group or clan learns them. As such, they are passed down through oral means instead of being written down or recorded. A few Hiden techniques require a special ability or lineage and as such are usually the pride and fame of the clan that possesses them.

Juinjutsu are a type of techniques used to bring someone under the control of the user. By applying a seal to the victim's body, the user brings the victim's abilities and actions under their control.

Jujutsu are a type of techniques that harm the enemy by cursing them. They work similar to Juinjutsu, however, the user doesn't have to apply a seal on the enemy to curse them.

Kenjutsu pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be shinobi, or samurai. Kenjutsu can be used in combination with Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Chakra Flow and even Genjutsu in order to achieve more devastating techniques. It is regarded as a branch of Bukijutsu.

Kinjutsu are techniques that have been banned from being taught or used.

Medical ninjutsu is a branch of ninjutsu associated with healing, as well as the manipulation of their own, or another's body, practiced by shinobi categorized as "Medical-Nin". The use of medical ninjutsu requires very advanced chakra control, as well as extensive knowledge on such things as herbs, medicines, the human body and even poisons.

Ninshu is the religion and the peaceful precursor of modern ninjutsu created by Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the first one to understand and teach the mystery of chakra. The teachings of Ninshu were meant to give people a better understanding of themselves, as well as others, and lead the world into an era of peace. Ninshu would eventually come to be known as ninjutsu, a more weaponized version of the Sage's teachings.

Nintaijutsu is a term used to describe the fighting style that incorporates the use of ninjutsu and Taijutsu. This fighting style is most prominent in Kumogakure, with the Third and Fourth Raikage being its foremost users. By surrounding themselves in their Lightning Release Chakra Mode, the two's strength, durability, speed, and reflexes are augmented to an exceptional degree.

Senjutsu are a specialized field of jutsu that involve the use of natural energy. Senjutsu practitioners, known as sages, learn to draw natural energy inside their bodies, blending it with their own chakra to create Senjutsu chakra. This chakra adds a new dimension of power to the user's techniques, while also allowing for the use of techniques that would not otherwise be possible.

Space–Time Ninjutsu are techniques that allow the users to manipulate the space–time continuum.

A Kekkei Genkai is an anomaly of the DNA that allows the wielder to use unique techniques. A Kekkei Genkai's name describes both the anomaly and the resulting technique.

Kekkei Tota is an advanced branch of jutsu that is more advanced than the jutsu class of Kekkei Genkai.

Kekkei Mora is an advanced branch of jutsu unique to Kaguya Otsutsuki and her direct bloodline.

Dojutsu are ninja abilities that utilize the eyes, a by-product of specific Kekkei Genkai or Kekkei Mora. The word refers to both the eyes themselves, which have a number of passive abilities, and any jutsu dependent on the eyes to be performed; the former requires little to no chakra to be used, while the latter varies depending on the technique. Dojutsu can be transplanted into others, though use of the Dojutsu is typically more limited or taxing for those without a genetic predisposition for it.
