it was too late

King Brenton's Pov

I looked at my daughter's face for some time without saying anything just observing her reaction to what I was going to tell her "she isn't going to like this" I thought to myself and after today she would hate me and would not like to even look at my face but I have to do this after all it's for her own good. After seeing nothing but curiosity on her face I decided to finally speak up.

"I want you to start packing your things and get prepared because you'll be leaving for the supernatural academy the day after tomorrow" I said to her but she didn't reply me she was just staring at me with an expressionless face so I couldn't tell what she was thinking.

"Did you hear what I just said?" I asked her but still received no reply but I could clearly see the anger in her face.

"You know I'm talking to you right"?. I asked again.

"Dad why do you want me to go to that academy, I'm fine here and why so sudden, what even brought the idea of me going to a supernatural academy" she asked while trying hard to control her anger

"I know you're fine here but you're going to the academy and that's final and king Ladon was the one who told me about the academy he said his daughter Hydra would be attending the academy to learn more about her powers and become more powerful and then I decided that you should attend as well cause it'll be good for you". I said to her "And maybe you would finally be able to learn how to control your powers". And I guess that hurt her feelings because the look of hurt flashed on her face.

"So Dad that's what this is all about, you are sending me there to learn how to control my powers so I wouldn't disgrace you" she said with gritted teeth

"Well since you decided to put that way then yes" I said. "I'm the King of the fire dragon empire who would believe I have a daughter who can't shift and who can't even control her powers". I know it was harsh of me telling her that to her face but it was just the truth and I think it's time for her to face it.

"And who's fault is that?" She asked. "Maybe I would have been able to control my powers if you hadn't taken me after rejecting my mother" she shouted while tears welled up in her eyes. "Maybe if you had left me with my mother I could have been able to control my powers, so don't blame for lacking control over them because I didn't have anybody to teach me how to control them" she said

"Everything I did was for your own good, I did it to ensure you had a good life" I said in a calm voice. She then started laughing while murmuring good life.

"It's late go to bed and don't forget to prepare for the academy" I said while standing up "and one more thing I don't want you to ever speak about your mother again". And with that I left.

On getting to my room I immediately went straight to my bed.

"How did it go" my wife Khaleesi asked

"Bad" I replied "she definitely hates me"

"No she doesn't she is just angry " Khaleesi said trying to comfort me

"She said I shouldn't have taken her away from her mother" I said to her

"She's just angry I'm sure by tomorrow she would be alright" she said.

"I hope so" I said before remembering how everything started

After waiting for over two hundred years for my mate and not finding her my Dad suggested I choose a mate that perhaps my mate was dead. So I did what he asked I chose Khaleesi my first love and got married to her. We were happily married with three kids. One day I decided to visit a friend who is a human on coming back I smelt the most intoxicating scent then I saw a very beautiful woman and then I realize she is my mate but then there was nothing I could do because I was happily married with three kids. It was too late. But the bond was very strong and one thing led to another and we ended up having sex, realizing what just happened I immediately returned home and I was feeling very guilty for what I had done so I opened up to my wife. At first she was mad but she later says it was ok as long as I rejected my mate and I agreed cause that was the right thing to do. But going back I couldn't find her. After searching for over eight months I decided to give up maybe she doesn't even remember me because she was just a human so I decided to go back home as I was going back home I smelt her scent and decided to find her and reject her. Finally finding her I see her heavily pregnant and later found out she was a witch and that she was carrying my child . I went back home and tell Khaleesi she wasn't happy at all but she says whatever decision I made she will always support me. At the end I took my child from her and rejected her i knew it was heartless of me to take a child barely a month old from the mother but I had to, I wanted her to have a good life. Since then I haven't seen her mother and I don't know if she is alive or dead but I told Aurora that Khaleesi wasn't her mother because she grew up believing that since Khaleesi raised her like she was her own kid. And due to the different blood in Aurora's system she couldn't control her both side. She could neither shift nor could she cast spells or control her many powers and that was why I wanted her to go the academy badly but I guess she will never understand.

The next day at breakfast she didn't come downstairs "I guess she is not over it" I told Khaleesi while sighing "and she would be leaving tomorrow, she would never forgive me" I said

"She will, with time she will forgive you" Khaleesi said trying to comfort me.
