'The Void?' Niva suddenly felt a good amount of dread. The humanity's greatest foe in the Scorching Darkness Era. An entity that almost engulfed the realm in total darkness. It is the most recent one of the three great trials for humanity.
Considering that Krilo is here too with the voidling, only amplifies his worries. 'Was the voidling that had been leading Krilo all this time here?'
He is really considering backing off. However, somehow Niva can feel the strange creature's abundance of power. It is almost similar to The Nature's Essence, but darker and somehow sucks you in.
This immense power is making him believe that the creature's word is not without value. He almost genuinely believes that it can grant you any wish.
"What are you?" asks Niva as he stares at the bottomless pit of yellow in its eyes. A sorrow without joy is what he can describe when facing its eye. The creature in front him may be the embodiment of sorrow itself.
"I am just a lowly servant of our Creator, The True God. She can grant your wish and eternal longevity," declares the creature. Its voice sounded like whispers that went through into your brain.
"Do you … really mean that when you say you can fix everything?" asks Niva again, getting closer.
"In a blink of an eye. All you have to do is to touch my hand and close your eyes. Render thyself onto me." The creature lends its hand. Seeing Niva also comes closer.
"I wanted to see my father again." Niva wishes out loud.
"Yes, yes we heard you. Come to us, so we can grant all of your desires." Whispers the creature. Their distance is merely two feet away.
'A blissful life as a stepson's lord. Maybe I would wish to become the lord. Or the king instead, with my loyal subject bowing down to me and whatnot. Dozens of maids and servants to serve me with the best quality of food. While staying ignorant and blissful. I may as well wish a new compfreund, an obedient and tame in nature.'
'But …'
The blue haired boy grabs his dagger behind him and stabs the creature. It then trembles and screams in agony. The Void's servant tries to pull out the dagger. But Niva keeps using his energy to thrust inside its torso even until his wrist is entered as well.
"That is not longevity. Far from it. Longevity is how you use your time to improve yourself and everyone around you. It might be a long process, but that is the most beneficial one. Not using questionable methods to achieve something."
Niva continues lecturing the creature. There is hatred in his eyes when meeting people or creatures like this. Doing a short term wish, but the consequence is that they usually bind their life with the dealer.
Niva slashes upwards. The creature's scream is getting more intense. Its body then gradually disintegrates and turns into ashes. He is now alone sitting on the stone stairs in front of a crossroads.
There are a handful of people that willingly give their life to The Void. And how they work is similar to the previous creature. They offer the unknowing victim a deal, often tempting in nature. The difference is that they offer it in a materialistic way, most of them can be explained by logic on how to acquire the wish.
But this creature, Niva or anyone never encounters any of this. Its words seem like a melody that can make you wish to follow them. Maybe it only approaches the most unfortunate individual. It is a matter of how strong someone's faith is to counteract with them.
Legend says that they will literally grant your wish. But your mind and soul are getting more uneasy. Time passes, you will experience hallucinations. Until you go crazy that you run away or someone must put you down.
The tip is be careful when there is someone suddenly rich. They will end up running away abandoning everything, someone kills him/her, or they kill themself. Everything that gains so fast, will also lose as fast. That was Niva's motto of longevity.
A scream suddenly interrupted his break. His brief relaxed mind suddenly becomes alerted and concerned. A high tone screams that pierces the artificial night sky.
Lula is screaming from the northwest. Niva then departs once again to help his comrade. Leaving the ghost village behind him.
Lula's scream is personally really concerning to him. Her mental distress might easily swayed by the creature. Possibly forming something different than Black Krilo. Maybe someone that is really important to her.
'Please you two, hold on. Please don't agree with their wishes.' whispers Niva in his heart. It is all over when both of them have touched hands as they suggested. Wish granting magic is so powerful that it might warps reality. Depending on the amount of change that the wish must implement.
He pushes forward against the denseness of the forest. He hears a loud growling from the way he is heading to. 'Yes, Shervo might protect her.' He is more calm now.
Not long after, he managed to get out of the forest. But something surprises him. It is now in another village. Cold and windy. What makes it really strange is the architecture. The combination of pointy roof arch with red and green ornaments.
With bells in front of each house and lanterns hung with ropes that connect one house arching roof with another. The dense low plain immediately reveals something contradictory, he is standing on top of the mountain, looking down to the forest and smaller mountains that are covered with thick clouds.
Just like Sari village, this village is also abandoned. But that is his least concern, this architecture only belongs to the southern region. And obviously not in the northern region.
The growling of a compfreund can be heard deeper inside. Niva sneaks to see what was going on. He covers himself in the corner of a building and takes a peek. Revealing terrified Lula and Shervo in front of her.
He gives a closer look to the black shadow creature. Niva eyes widens. The person that is currently standing opposing Lula and Shervo was none other than himself.
