A Cry to Shape the World

Meridian Era Silentis Day 157,

Many places exist within the boundless ranges of the oceans and mountains that sprawl the far corners of Meridian. There will be at any time, in every place, life, death, or something entirely in between. Such places can be anything from massive cities sprawling miles from lush plateaus guarded by powerful beasts and violent creatures. There will be the endless expansion of the races that can be counted amongst Meridian's population. The Humans, Beastmen, Greenskins, Elves, Dwarves, and so much more. They have marked Meridian forever with their humongous fortresses and agricultural expansion, the races that have developed all struggle for dominance in Meridian.

Like so many of the countless races that inhabit this lush world, births are always quite the unique occurrence. Many races have different physical and even ethereal forms, and so many different types of births so different from one another happen daily. There are even tales of Great Heroes being born with the coming of Lights in the sky, or massive storms. Recently the brightest and most adept Magi and Atroligists have all come to the conclusion, a being of such immense change will be born soon, and with their birth from one of the races, a era of great upheaval will take place. The brightest of stars has Split to form a Crown of pure light. The child born from this crown is destined to rule all of Meridian. Let rise the Era of Upheaval, so proclaimed the sages, Let rise the dominator, so proclaimed the kings, let rise the ruler of Meridian!.....

But the birth of that mighty hero has nothing to do with a small Goblin den within the mountains near the human city of Uriel. Goblins are stupid and treacherous creatures only lusting for power and superiority, as primitive beasts. They care not for man, elf, orc, ogre, dwarf, fairy, king, or god. They exist as a parasite that feeds off of weak and defenseless caravans and animals. Fear of the creatures have led to many hiring guards, adventurers, or braving danger to exterminate the vile beasts. They are crafty cockroaches that settle every corner Meridian's darkest hobbels and caves. As is their nature, they will seek riches for which they cannot purchse goods, influence they can never utilize, and lives, to torture, abuse and hate. For they are Goblinkind.

Within that small cave, near that small city, in the small kingdom of man, lied a chamber of dirt and filth. Within few noises can be deciphered by any common tounges. For no Goblin worth their salt would ever bother with something so pointless. Within this chamber adorned by only the empty shadows which threaten to snuff the small light omitted from a glowing vine creeping and snaking to the corners of the cave; lied 6 holes then were only a meter deep at most into the dirt. Within these small holes lied green masses that rhythmically expanded and contrasted. Much time passes and passes, yet the masses remain still apart from the random expansions. Within a few hours, a change can be finally be noted, the sounds of screams, and the smell of blood.
