Rex expectations

Helge got up and opened her locker and pulled out a coffee maker I stopped in mide push up saying what the hell Helge where did you pull that thing out from cuz I am sure it is a little big for that locker she turned around smiling o don't worry about it Hunter I razed a eye brew and instead of asking I just read her mind it is quite simply she just turned it on it's side which made it thinner but still a little big so she just moved it back and fort forcing it into her locker it was easier to get it out then getting it in I rolled my eyes and started my work out again minutes passed and Helge poured her self some coffee she turned to me asking do you want a cup I stopped in mid sit up and looked at her sure I will after I shower she nodded Helge put down her cup nodding and she started to stretch I finished my work out and took a shower when I walked out Helge was doing the splits and she was stretching forward I walked passed her and picked up the cup next to the coffee maker Helge lend over one leg saying I had a feeling you didn't have a cup so you can use my spare but you are cleaning my cup and the coffee pot I shrugged ok and I poured my self some coffee and took a drink it was still warm it didn't taste good but it woke my body up completely Helge got up and silently walked into the bathroom I drank half of my coffee when I sat it down and started my streatches by the time Helge walked out of the bathroom I was done with stretching and my coffee was gone I was sitting on my bed looking threw my messages most of them was from the technicians sending me 3d blueprints they wanted my opinion on how to fix and improve stuff I had many ideas how to improve many things but I decided to only send them a message how to fix these problems I got up and picked up the two cups and the coffee decanter I want into the bathroom and washed the 3 dishes in the sink when I walked out it was about time to report to are 1 class of the day I gave Helge her stuff back even my cup she put away the stuff and we walked out to our first class we walked passed to many other rooms but only a few of them was open I side saying these fools think they can sleep in Helge smiled shrugging it ant are a problem I glanced at her saying we may be stronger than the rest but that doesn't change the fact they are cadets the same as us don't get a big head just cuz we scared highest on are nanite ranking and combat skills it doesn't make us better then them you know that Helge side shrugging again I guess your right Hunter but what should we do I smiled evilly and used my mind to access the computers in each room and turned on the fire alarm and like that all hell broke loose cadets was running and screaming out of their rooms some was clothed but some was just in there underwear Helge and I got to the bottom of the stairs and turned around to watch the show many of the cadets ran outside but there was a few that didn't run when they realized they didn't see or smell any smoke Helge and I walked into the simulation room sergeant Rage was standing there her hands behind her back we walked and stood in front of her at attention Sergeant Rage didn't say anything but her eyes passed over us and over the case of 3 minutes the other cadets walked into the room and walked next to Helge and I Sergeant Rage looked over them all saying good you all made it on time but sadly this is my class and showing up right on time means your late I do not care who you are if you show up early you're on time anything other than that is late do I make myself clear we all said yes mam now let's get started today you will be in a simulation that I made you will be the caption of this group you are to lead them to victory know go and learn we slotted he I lowered my hand from my head and walked over to the closet pod and sat down in the chair Helge sat in the pod next to me I used my innate ability to activate the pod which made my chair turn around so I was facing the inside of the pod it was dark but then the screen turned on I was sitting in a light mecha built for speed and quick melee fighting I held no weapons in my hands but there was two plasma pistols on my hips they packed a good punch but it would take several shots to penetrate most medium armor and on my back was a mock 1 machine gun but I glanced at the screen that was next to my right hand it showed 3 melee weapon options built into this mech the first was claws that deployed from the fingertips the next was a sword option they would be deployed from the four arms and flipped and locked on the wrist the double-sided blade would be over the hand the last option was made my opinion of this mech change heavily it was a plasma cannon built into the hands it was short range and needed 5 to 7 seconds to charge the cannon it did that by spinning 3 fingers around using the electricity in the air to both spin and condense the particles in the air it was primitive and definitely was a weapon still in development but when I saw that option I smiled happily but I focused on my task but using my innate ability made a 3d blueprint of all three weapons I looked around I was resting in the middle of a small camp I was the only mech the rest was infantry which was okly armed we only had two trucks which had a full audo grenade launchers on top of them with flame throwers attached to them plus inside the truck was many flame throwers by the looks of it we are on a plant that had been infected by the hive and this was the worst-case scenario we had no backup and I was the only mech pilot around this area my bright green eyes started to glow when I realized that the hive was here I remembered when Rich first told me about the hive they were a bug like a creature who infect planets turning the planet into a hive mine they can be as big as a mech and even more deadly which naturally makes them hard to kill but as long as there is no knight bug or any higher ranking then that we would be fine but I dought we were that lucky bugs feed on anything that can give them nutrients which is basically everything from animals, plants hell even other bugs luckily rock and water doesn't or we all would be screwed I looked around the camp and realized we were in a forest clearing quickly I pulled the rifle off my back which wasn't a rifle it was a jury-rigged fucking flame thrower I didn't need to move I was in the perfect spot to burn all around the camp and not hurt my man I used my calms giving out my first order to all my man get your gas masked on now we are burning a bigger clearing for us so we wound be surprised when I was done giving my orders many of the soldiers ran out of their tents to the trucks if I had to guess many of them left their masks in the truck but they were trained so it didn't take long when I got the clear that everyone was ready I pulled the trigger and bursting out the end of my gun was a huge blue flame I swept it all around me when these blue flames touched the trees many of them turned to ash immediately but some simple cot fire and feel over which cot more trees on fire by the time I was done turning around the smoke all around is was heavily and black the temperature was burning hell even grass turned to sand and rock prepare for a attack I want you already and in the trenches with the trucks parked in the north and south of me so you could fire on either side as for the flame thrower's split up equally in the trenches you will burn anything that gets in range do you understand rager that caption and like that the camp started to move and change they followed my orders to the letter they was well trained so this hole thing didn't take long and it's a good thing it didn't cuz right when the last truck parked behind me my sensors picked up movement from all around us they was coming from each side right when my sensors went off I heard hundreds of clicking noises I turned to the north where my sensors picked up something big charging at us and what I saw made my eye go cold and a little snarl spread across my face it was a huge white and black centipede its armor shell was snow white and it's legs and the spikes on it's back was dark black well shit I said putting my flame thrower on my back the centipede was probably 3 yards out I looked around the rest of the bugs was only worker which is the lowest level in the hive but there was thousands of them and only a few of us but what could we do except for fight lesson up man follow the plan and do not give up I will deal with the big bastard in the north fight to see your families again fight to live let's kill these fucking bugs and with that I stepped over the truck in front of me and started to run as I started to running I heard the soldiers scream out in defiance but it wasn't at me they were screaming at death telling them to bring it on I laughed thinking to my self man there is nothing like this feeling in the world but I stopped at the 100-yard mark I didn't want to get too far from my man the centipede was charging at me he was probably only 100 yards from me and closing but it flicked it tail over it's head and I seen 20 black spikes flying at me I pulled the pistols off my hips and started to fire but I knew I could not shout them all so I used my innate ability to target the spikes that would hit any vital areas I will deal with the rest and with shockingly fast and precise accuracy I shot the 10 spikes out of the air as I moved my mech dodging the rest of them but my movements was a little clunky and odd like I wasn't us to this sort of movement but I pushed through this feeling which made me dodge many of the spikes but 4 scratched my mech but I didn't let this affect my movements I spun and shot 4 times at the centipede which was about in striking distance my 4 shots hit the centipede but it just pissed it off it swung three of it's legs at me in retaliatioiln I spun my mech which was starting to feel more and more like my body and I danced around it's stikes I was next to it and I seen where the shell connected to it's lower body I thrust one pistol out and point black shot that shot twice green blood exploded out from it and the centipede cried out in pain as it's a little of its shell got blown off it but I didn't see the tail which struck me in the chest I flew back landing on my back sliding to a stop my pistols and flame thrower I lost from the attack I was looking up at the sky but I rolled to one side luckily I did cuz a second later the centipede tail hit the ground right where I was I used my innate ability to activate the claws in my hand as I pushed my self up and I seen extending from my finger tips was curved talents like a burd I jumped in top of the centipede digging my talents between its armor plating and with all my stretched I ripped a section of its shell off exposing the black soft flesh under it but then something struck my side it was that damn tail again but it didn't hit me off it's back like it wanted do to my talents dug into its shell I think it relied if it hit me hard it would hurt him more but I didn't wait to find out I pulled out one of my talents and I selected the plasma cannon with my mind I seen my right-hand claws sing back into the fingers as the hand opened up and I seen a glowing crystal all 5 of the mechs fingers started to spin around this crystal and I seen electricity spark and move between the fingers and the crystal started to glow brighter the centipede screamed this time it didn't care if it hurt it's self it new if it didn't do something this would hurt so it's tail swung down at me but I pulled my self up the spike on it's tail which it was trying to hit me with sank into my mechs leg but also it sank into jta self the centipede creamed from pain I smiled at the same time I hard a robotic voice say plasma cannon fully charged 5 shot loaded I laughed and paint blank shot the opening in it's armor next to the tail spike I pulled the trigger twice which made two bright flashes happen the centipede screamed as it got blown in half it slumped to the ground dead I smiled laughing and walked to it's head as I was walking I charged my left-hand cannon when I stepped next to it's felt eyes pointing both cannons point blank at them it moved its head to try and get away but it was too late cuz I pulled both triggers ones both cannons want off and blow half of it's head off the other half was burned I turned around to see my man they were fighting like crazy but they were winning like I ordered I have seen many burning and burnt bug body's all around the trenches the grenade launcher on the trucks was doing work I walked over to my pistols and flame thrower and ran back to assist my man and like that, my simulation ended my chair turned around to see sergeant Rex standing between Helges and my pods he was talking to Helge who was still sitting in her simulation pod but they stopped when they saw my chair turning around Rex cold look didn't change but I thought I saw a little pride in his eyes but it disappeared quickly so I might have imagined it sergeant Rex y are you in front of our two pods he smiled saying well sense you to are done and your next class is in the shop I have a task for both of you follow and with that he started to walk away Helge and I glanced at each other shrugged and followed him sergeant Rage followed us with her eyes but didn't stop us Rex lead us outside the ice cold wind and snow whipped passed are faces Rex led us passed garage 3 and 4 we garage 5 looked newer and smaller then the rest Rex walked up to the door and swiped a card scanner next to the door then he put his hand on a tablet that moved out of the wall this tablet scanned his hand I heard a beep and the door slid open Rex walked in we followed him I was a little shocked there was only about 20 mechanics running around and there were only 4 bays two on each side of the room but only two of them was being used and what I saw made my mouth drop open two heavy mechas but mech had a camo tarp over it so I could not see it fully but the other one was on full display it was red and black on color in one hand was a huge shield and in the other hand was a spear but on it's back was two plasma articular cannons I could see the battery pack connected to the bottom of them so that means these two cannons was made into plasma cannons they weren't that originally but next to it's feet was a sign that read spartan heavy Mecha survivor of 50 interstellar war campaigns holy shit I said to myself this mech has been around for over 10 generations of pilots how many times has it been repaired but more importantly how many mechs and pilots has it killed both Helge and I was standing there stunned Rex turned around smiling at are reactions do you like her she has served me well for 60 long years on the front lines she was a gift from my father she wasn't in this sort of state nore was she this upgraded but all the same its the thought that counts this mech has been in my family for hundreds of year's and it brings much power with it both in the family and in the army I assume you two already know what it means to be a heavy mech pilot I gulped trying to make out of my stunned state yes on the battlefield you are the commander the leader everyone looks up to you then Helge took it from there yes and in a noble family you will be held in hi regards sense your ability to control and fight in a heavy mech especspely if a head or a elder of the family is the one to gift you the mech that means they both trust you completely and they know you want bring shame to the family Rex nodded good I have seen my fair share of battles I have seen many pilots come and go I wanted to bring you here to both encourage and challenges you both of you have potential to pilot a heavy mecha both of you have the chance to so great things but do not sacrifice each other and do not let others bring you down stand together stand strong train hard and someday you will be a pilot of a heavy mecha like this Helge and I smiled and slotted him saying sir yes sir Rex nodded go to your next class I will be expecting great things from you two we nodded and left him there standing there looking up at his mech.
