Spheris remained hidden in the shadows, the thrill of eavesdropping still buzzing in his veins as Kohan stood before Osric Daligarth. He certainly had not expected the situation to shift in such a way and now he could feel his heart beating.
He shifted on top of the chair and his hands instinctively tightened into fists, but his face remained emotionless, eyes devoid of color as he continued to watch the scene before him.
As it pained him to admit, Spheris could see Kohan was a spy for Lord Daligarth, planted to befriend him and steal information about him. He was the perfect spy as well, because his character and attitude being similar to Spheris meant that he could be comfortable around him.
Comfort led to mistakes... slip ups.
Spheris began to wonder if there was anything he might have said to Kohan about his Powers or his life. There wasn't. Not that he could think of.
