The man held a bag on his left wearing leather armor with green hair and emerald eyes staring deep into the eyes of the beast before him. Uncontrollable anger and his dominating pressure kept increasing as the man was an elf—his dignified appearance as he looked down on the beast before him.

"Huh... Can't even take care of a lowly beast." he scoffed but the anger in his eyes didn't even vanish. "Huff, at least Nolan is still alive." in the blink of an eye he disappeared from his position and appeared just before Ava with a lightning-like strike that sent her flying from one wall to another.

"But why is an E rank beast doing in the city." he wondered walking toward the demi-human whose name is Nolan. " Maybe it was tamed or something," he said fixing his clothes. 

Reaching there he saw him unconscious, "Fuck that's a deep wound." a potion appeared in his hand being of much more quality.

In the other room.

Ava had broken bones unable to even move but a voice came, "Miss Wolf." opening her eyes a little girl who seemed to have woken up saw the bleeding state of the wolf she knew and remembered. Startled for a second she ran toward and started shaking her body "Miss Wolf are you okay."

'It seems she isn't hurt.' Ava thought feeling weak and great pain in her stomach. Coughing out blood she said "Am okay Amber." she said. But seeing her worried expression she stood up even if struggling. Knowing that her master won't find clarity until she is safe she tries using her shadow link to escape. 

Just at the moment when she was just about to touch Amber, the bloodlust returned and she soon found herself back in that large room in front of the man again. Shocked without any room to react. He punched out once more causing even more damage than before but breaking through a different wall leading her toward outside.

The bitter taste was blood that came out lying on the ground and desperately trying to stand up. The night skylight shined upon her unable to breathe and found that there wasn't any way of defeating the man. Ava tried escaping into her shadow. "You want to get away but sorry there's no way to run."

The space around the man twisted and Ava appeared again "As long I marked you can't run away from me." She was shocked and disbelief in fact because she hadn't met anyone who could remove her from her shadow realm no matter what as the man was about to release his final attack on her. 

Shadows below appeared to block his attack using all of her mana and also sinking the little Amber who was coming her way in her own shadow. Doing the same to herself she was too late because her shadow did slow down people's attacks but even when his speed was reduced she couldn't escape in time.

A soothing voice came "Don't worry Ava you have done enough, just take care of Amber for me and get yourself treated." he voiced out.

An illusory spear strikes at light speed at its foe without difficulties. Undescribable pain crossed through the body of the man stopping his attack as he fell coughing out blood.

Ava escaped and footsteps started being heard but the man on the ground couldn't pay much attention as he touched his chest in pain "Arararararara."

Alex who had an angry expression walked forward and said, "So it's much more painful and reduces their levels greatly when the soul is close to mine.", he said with a smile and said, "Well then, let's torture you first before anything." 

Because of the immense increase in his soul foundation process, he was now able to create 12 soul spears which stood behind him along with his swords. "Now why did you take that girl," he asked kneeling.

Gaining his focus he gazed at the white-haired man with beautiful sky-blue eyes and shouted "You." in anger, he rushed forward.

"You should have stayed down," he said two illusory spears smashing down. He coughed out another large amount of blood and fell to the ground once more.

He lay there breathing slowly and said, "Do you even know who is backing me."

Alex sighed shaking his head "Enlighten me." he responded with an arrogant expression. He felt nothing for the man but for hurting Amber he deserves death in his eyes. 

Laying on the ground he started laughing, standing up slowly but suddenly disappearing, and appeared beside Alex with a sword in hand. Consciously he thought he had won unaware of the calm expression his foe had kneeling there. Certainly, at that moment his sword struck but stopped before even reaching its mark.

[Veil activated]

[Artillery activated]

Weapons formed from thin air initiated to strike at his position which he instead dodged. Creating some distance he thought his ability wouldn't affect him but he was wrong, feeling something stabbing him once more. "AARRARARARARA."

"Huh.... It was just a single spear but it now put much more damage than before." he thought still kneeling seeing the screaming figure on the ground.

After some seconds he stopped and stood up "You will pay for this make sure you run and never look back." he disappeared.

'Space element.' he thought wondering where he would appear again. He appeared before a body that was lying on the ground and at that moment his swords and soul spears struck. But fortunate for him he was able to escape before that command reached them.

'A split second you would have died.' he thought standing up and saying "If I knew earlier I would just kill him on the spot. Next time I must control my emotions." he said starting to leave that place.
