Chapter 1: just the beginning

Once the new year began, I had been experimenting with my sexual orientation. I had been non-binary for awhile, then realized I wasn't non-binary, so I was now back to my original birth assigned gender and a lesbian. I had a girlfriend, Zalea Burdick. She was very nice, sweet, and caring. And not to mention very innocent. She was also a lesbian. Though, throughout our relationship, I realized, I was actually a trans male, and I had to break things off with Zalea.. She took it very well, and we're still great friends now, and I'm glad we're still friends. She's played such a big part in my life, and I would hate for her to leave. After I realized I was trans, and broke up with Zalea, She and my other friend Isabella, helped me come up with a name. I didn't like my name, or any names that started with Z for some reason. Though I didn't hate Zaiden, of course. He's been my friend since 1st grade. How could I ever hate him? Anyways, Zalea had a small little notebook she kept with her, and she had written down name ideas for me in it. I ended up choosing the name Sam. It just felt right. After that, it took me awhile to tell my teachers, but I knew I had to. And I knew they were supportive. They're supportive of all their students. After that, we went on about our normal lives, except we all had a lot to change and adjust to thanks to my new preferences. But, this isn't the exact way it happened.. And this is just the beginning of my new crazy life. You never knew what was coming next, but I lucked out, and got something beyond anything I could ever imagine.

One day for our specials classes (ex: art, music, PE), all the classes were in the gym. I had been in one gym for the entire time, so I decided to go to the other gym for the rest of the period. I decided to play volleyball, and it looked like they were doing boys versus girls, so I went to the boys team. There was this one boy I've known since 1st grade, Riley. But I never talked to him. I thought he was really cool, and I guess I had feelings for him, but I never knew I did..That is until today.
