"Despite that, you all saw how quickly he adapted to his assigned role," Lai continued, clasping her hands together, "It was all over the news! He easily grasped the company's strategy and objectives. He has taken the company to new heights, and you've all profited far beyond your expectations."
She returned to Bai's side. His amber eyes were peering at her, completely stupefied.
"Let me warn you," she ascertained, "As Mr. Ying's PA, I refuse to watch passively as he is falsely accused of something he obviously didn't do. I will not permit anybody to tarnish his or this company's reputation. Not after he has worked so hard to get to this point."
She narrowed her hazelnut eyes and scanned the room. She spoke with a warning tone that indicated she was being utterly solemn.
"If anybody attempts to pull a stupid stunt like this again, I will destroy and expose you, regardless of your identity or position. That you can count on."
