It had been hours since he had chosen to play it safe, and his constant vigilance had lasted all of ten minutes before he summoned his wand to play with his new toy.
His first hour wasn't his proudest hour, as he did everything from throwing it as if a throwing dagger, and losing it in the millions of grains of sand...
After ten minutes of absolute despair and kilos of the sand dugout, he tried summoning it. and was elated to see the familiar particles flowing out of the sand and into his hand, shaping into the now-familiar 20-inch wand.
He learned two valuable nuggets of information from that stressful experience, one was that this new body of his was way over his previous level of fitness to an almost inhuman degree, the sheer strength and speed he had performed with when he dug out the sand wasn't something he had ever noticed before, and the fact that ten minutes of vigorously digging up sand left him no worse for wear than when he started spoke volumes of his new stamina!
The second thing he learned was that he could summon his wand from what almost seemed like any distance, which he tested out by throwing it as far as he could and summoning it back. it seemed as if he could dematerialize it into what he now dubbedd "stardust" that would swiftly fly back into his hand and materialize into his wand. this was something that relieved him immensely as this would ensure that he would never be unarmed in any dangerous situation he would find himself in, in the future.
Hour two was spent trying to figure out how the magic he was now pretty sure he passed worked, and after yelling out every spell he had ever heard of and even some he had come up with there and then, he finally got a result.
That result both elated, but utterly terrified him. because if he held his wand tilted upwards and whispered the incantation "Tempus" he receives once again pieces of information.
One was that due to the spell even working, it was a 99% chance that he had been transmigrated into the Harry Potter world, which was something that elated him to no end! imagine all the magical discoveries he could make! the money he could accumulate by investing in companies he knew would do well due to his meta knowledge!
The magical artifact he could secure himself alone was an insane boost to his safety and wellbeing in this world!
The philosopher's stone alone would secure him immortality and untold riches!
The Diadem of Ravenclaw would grant him an eidetic memory and the unparalleled intelligence of Rowena Ravenclaw!
Helga´s cup would grant him an infinite source of potions due to its duplicating effect!
And Salazar's locket could... well he wasn't entirely sure. what it could do but he was sure it must be amazing due to it being made by one of the founders!
Well, that all went to shit when he noticed what the spell meant to show the date showed him,
1.January 997
All his meta knowledge evaporated as soon as he saw that he was flung back over 1000 years before the plot.
