"What do you mean by that? Do you mean I am a lot smarter than you?", Travis turned to Drey and asked with a confused face.

"No! That's not what I mean? How can you be smarter than me? What experience do you have?", Drey said with an angry face.

"Then what do you mean?", Travis asked.

"When your comprehensive skill is high, it doesn't mean that you are smarter than anyone. What it means is that your ability to study magic techniques is very high.", Drey explained.

"Oh, I see. So that was what you meant by comprehensive skills. So, if my comprehensive skills are higher than yours, how many hours will it take to cultivate this technique?", Travis asked.

"About a week. You will be able to finish it if you train diligently.", Drey said.

"And what if I don't train diligently?"

"Then you will be done within five years!", Drey said with a cheeky smile.

"Huh? Five years? I think I would take the first option!", Travis said as he sat down.

"Good choice. Now start training!", Drey said to Travis who was currently sitting on the floor.

"Hey, Travis! What's with you today. You look lost?", Jim asked Travis who was absent-minded as they walked to school.

"Oh, nothing! I was just thinking about something.", Travis said.

"Is it about the ceremony?", Jim asked.

"Yeah how did you know?", Travis exclaimed in a surprised manner.

"I am also thinking about it. Why don't they let us participate in the ceremony?", Jim asked.

"That was the same thing I was thinking about! why are you saying so. Can you tell me?", Travis asked.

"I mean some of us, the so-called normal people are late developers. We develop our powers late in our youth. One main example is our current director."

"He did know he had the ability to solidify his body until he was seventeen. So, if they allowed us to participate in the test, It would make us know those who had even a little mana so that they can know if we are late developers.", Jim said excitedly.

"Good morning students", Mr James~ the director greeted as he entered the class.

"Good morning sir!", the students stood up uniformly as they replied to their teacher's greeting.

"Isn't that Mr James? What is he doing here? Did we get in trouble?"

"Maybe, he came to punish Travis for his behaviour!"

"Maybe he is coming to announce a piece of important news. Who knows.."

Silent whispers spread among the students as they tried to find out the main reason why Mr James~ the director visited them.

Some thought that he was here to punish Travis for his rude behaviour the other day. Some also thought he was here to deliver a piece of very important news. However, no one knew the main reason why the director came to their class.

"You can sit", Mr James cleared his throat and said to the students.

"Thank you, sir!", The students replied in a loud voice as they sat down.

"I know some of you may already be guessing the reason why I paid a visit to you suddenly. Well, I am here to deliver a piece of information. A very important one that is."

"I, Mr James, the director of this school announce that the 'normal people' in this class are going to take part in the annual magic selection ceremony.", Mr James dropped the bombshell.

"What the hell is going on?!"

"Not only did Mr James punish Travis but he is also allowing the normal ones to partake in the magic selection ceremony?!"

"The magic selection ceremony was supposed to be our day. The day that we brag about our superpowers."

"However, It's now a playground for normal people too? What kind of bullshit is this?!"

The class went into complete chaos after a moment of silence. Most of the students with superpowers were complaining about Mr James' plan. However, The normal ones were extremely excited.

That also went for Travis and Jim.

"Hey, Travis did you hear that?", Jim said excitedly as he held onto Travis' hand.

"Yes. We are going to enter the magic selection ceremony too. That is great!", Travis also excited burst out laughing.

"Hehehe", Jim just chuckled.

"Quiet!", Mr James shouted in a loud voice when he noticed the class become noisy.

"The main reason why I am doing this is so that we discover the late developers. an example of a late developer is me!"

"I awakened my superpower at the age of seventeen. If we test for the presence of mana in a body, we may be able to find out if he or she is a late developer so that we allow that person to continue his or her education in the magic field."

"So that is the main reason why I am doing this. If you don't understand me, you can raise your hand and ask your question", Mr James said.

After a minute of silence, someone raised his hand.

"I have a question.", a loud but crispy voice said.

When Bryan raised his hands all the normal ones lost hope.

That was mainly because Bryan was especially rude to all normal people. He was from the Banks family. A Royal Family which ruled over Frozen Lake city.

His Father was basically the mayor of the city!
