The Welcoming Ceremony Part 1

POV: Aesir

Many things have changed and my life has become chaotic since the day I arrived here back home. The continuous ramblings from Vetra after how pandora tricked him gave me a headache every day. On the other hand, Pandora was quiet not showing me any words floating in front of me. After I returned from the protected space I found my dorm room in shambles, I tried to first fix it myself but in the end, I had to bring up this matter to Calen.

Today was the day when many ships with loads of students landed on the island. I was called to Calen's office for some reason so I couldn't go and see what was happening there.

" You are here!" Calen exclaimed he was surprised because of something. Did he notice something different in me? I thought before saying hello to him and sitting on a chair.

" Is something wrong? You are acting weird," I had to ask, that Calen acting unusual didn't sit right with me. He would always act calmly in front of me and deal with things on my behalf.

" Well, didn't I tell you that you should not get involved with the politics outside the academy?" Calen said and then added, " It seems an unavoidable situation has occurred and it seems this time you will have to deal with it."

" What could that be?" It was a serious matter, one that made even Calen anxious.

" I didn't know that the Empire has also taken interest in you, they have sent a request," Calen said sounding nervous, " The Empress had personally requested your presence in the welcoming ceremony."

" In what way?" I asked, there was no harm in just showing up at the welcoming ceremony but how will I be treated there was my question.

" They want you to meet the chosen ones and the students representing the other races. You will be welcoming them alongside me and you will be the only one to welcome the chosen one of light."

" Why show me such importance?" I asked.

" That empress always thinks of making the situation complicated for everyone. She is a woman that even the Wizard association is wary of, we don't want to make a fuss about small matters with her. This is why Aesir, I would request you to attend as requested." Calen looked anxious, he was always having a hard time dealing with the matters in the outside world. Part of me felt responsible as he also had to keep me protected from everything which made things even harder for him to deal with.

" I will attend, I will have to only be Aesir for today." I made my decision quickly, there was no point thinking much about it.

" I will make arrangements as the Welcome ceremony is just in a few hours," Calen said, and then pressed a bell. As soon as the bell rang several servants came with different clothes and bowed before us.

" Dress him up, we don't have much time," Calen said and stood in the corner.

The servants were quick, they picked a dress that best suited me. I was currently not wearing my mask so they matched the dress colors with my hair and eyes.

A white coat and blue pants, the coat had several ornaments and an emblem of my grandfather as decoration. The golden emblem shined brightly, it had a simple design of a Starbird, a bird which has a star shape crown over its head and had very sharp eyes.

They also made me wear a blue cape that had a silver pattern of the emblem printed over it, and finally, it was finished with wearing white boots that had blue stripes as design and wearing some other accessories such as gloves. They sprayed some perfume and then tried to carve my hair but I stopped them from doing this.

" This reminds me of the old days, young master you have become a very fine man. I am glad I got your size right." It was a bald man with a black mustache. I remembered him because he was the personal servant of my grandfather.

" Thank you, Mr. Ken," I said, he bowed and left happily.

" All The Students Please Gather For The Welcoming Ceremony!" A voice rang throughout the place where the ships had landed, more than three thousand students were present there. Each of them had already finished signing up, and a group of forty students was being led by one instructor.

" This is just so amazing, I have never seen so many people of our age before." A Girl with golden brown hair spoke. She looked nervous as she said this, her hands were also shaking.

" It's the same for all of us, we had also never seen such a crowd before. This is the talent scouted from all over the world." A boy with red hair replied to Jessica, he sounded confident and looked at the crowd without his eyes wavering anywhere else.

" Please follow us, the chosen ones, royal children, and representatives of other races shall participate in the welcoming ceremony." A group of men in golden robes said, there were more than forty children in this group that came from a special ship.

" Hey, Viola, this island is within the lands of your kingdom, so aren't you technically the host, Can you even participate in the welcoming ceremony?" A boy with green hair spoke to a girl with blue hair. The five chosen once were the ones walking in front of all the students, behind them was the representative of other races, which included an Elf who covered his face, a dwarf, and a fairy the size of a human head.

The Dwarf was sized around the chest of a normal human, he was wearing a sleeveless formal attire and a cap over his head. The fair had shiny black hair and rainbow-colored wing and looked quite human in appearance.

Every one of these students wore formal attire for this welcome ceremony. Walking in front of them was the chosen one of the light, he wore a serious expression and was carrying a great sword on his back.

" Viola, What do you know about Aesir Alistair?" He asked.
