"My young master, what do you want to do?"

He couldn't quite fathom it, so he decided to stop pondering these things; after all, he was just a household servant.

Three months later, Varion began to ease up on the pace of absorbing knowledge. Even now, he had received knowledge injections ten times over. It's worth noting that ordinary Kryptonians might receive such injections only three or four times in their entire lives, which usually sufficed for them. In most cases, that knowledge remained unused throughout their lifetimes.

"Mousse, can we modify a spaceship?"

Mousse was taken aback. "Master Varion, what did you just say?"

"I mean, can we convert a spaceship into a laboratory and even include a creation room..." He continued explaining his ideas, leaving Mousse's jaw hanging in the process. Young master, are you looking to venture out?

"Uh... is it possible?"

Mousse hesitated but replied, "Yes, the requirements aren't too high, our family can handle it. But do you think we should inform Mr. Yabei?"

"No, no, I'm just thinking that in the future, if I go on expeditions, I can also conduct scientific experiments aboard my spacecraft. There's no need for my father to know about these matters; he's already swamped with his daily duties."

"Alright... understood!"

As Mousse left, Varion gazed at the night sky outside. The city's appearance at night was unlike anything in the human world. A massive protective shield enveloped the city, casting an eerie atmosphere.

Even now, Krypton had ceased its rotation.

Crisis seemed to perpetually loom, yet people appeared oblivious, going about their daily lives. A shiver ran down Varion's spine, and he struggled to catch his breath; something felt profoundly abnormal.

In the evening, Abel returned home after a demanding day. He could tell that something was amiss when he saw Mousse following Varion, and it was clearly being kept under wraps.

"It seems you have something to share with me," he said.

"Yes, Father, I believe Mr. Mousse has already briefed you."

Abel nodded. "Then, explain what's on your mind. Why are you doing this? Well... I want to hear the truth."

Varion raised his head and locked eyes with his adoptive father. Among the nine cities where all Kryptonians resided, Abel governed one of the most critical ones.

"Father, you once said... If Krypton were to be destroyed, what would be our future?"

Abel chuckled, "I overheard Mousse telling me, my child, that Krypton has just ceased its rotation. It's not a threat to us Kryptonians; on the contrary, no matter where we go, we can create another Krypton whenever we wish."

Mousse also smiled, clearly thinking that Varion was concerned about the impending crisis brought by Krypton's destruction. In essence, their advanced technology allowed them to transform planets and establish their civilization elsewhere, making it a manageable situation.

"Alright, so about my spaceship...?" Varion inquired.

Abel nodded, "It can be arranged, consider it a gift from me."

They enjoyed their dinner and the joyful atmosphere.

As Varion lay in bed at night, he couldn't help but sigh. It appeared that even individuals like Abel weren't entirely aware of what was happening. Perhaps his grandfather possessed some knowledge, given his affiliation with theScience Council, but why had they chosen to keep silent?

It remained a mystery.

The transformation of Varion's spaceship was in full swing, showcasing the remarkable strength of his family. Countless resources poured in from various sources, all directed towards the enhancement of his spacecraft.

While Varion's spaceship wasn't enormous, with small vessels measuring tens of meters and larger ones extending to hundreds of meters, its strength corresponded to its size. This scientific research spacecraft was equipped with various attack methods, such as plasma cannons and laser weaponry, relying on pure energy-based attacks.

Among these armaments was the ion cannon. While it might not be a familiar term to everyone, in the context of space warfare, it was well-known as an orbital weapon.

Ion cannons had limited use within planetary atmospheres due to their potential for collateral damage. However, in space combat, they proved to be a common and efficient means of attack.

These weapons were compact, with minimal energy consumption. They could even harness free energy sources like solar power in space for automatic recharging. Green and efficient, if one shot missed, another could follow immediately.

Such confidence was well-placed. When it came to facing Kryptonians, there was hardly anyone in the universe who posed a credible threat.

That's how certain they were of their superiority. With the ion cannon at their disposal, they could incapacitate threats with precision.

"Master, are you certain you want to modify it this way? If you proceed, your spacecraft will truly be a research vessel," Mousse expressed his concern, somewhat bemused by his young master's passion for scientific research.

Varion responded with a grin, "It's alright, I like it this way."

Before him stood the scientific research spaceship equipped with a creation chamber, essentially a technology cultivation facility capable of producing Kryptonians. It also featured basic production lines for manufacturing materials. Varion knew all these upgrades were crucial for his future endeavors.

Until he possessed enough strength, he surmised he wouldn't return to the DC universe. Until then, he would remain committed to his goals.
