Unwanted Nostalgia

{Now Alden's POV...}

"Is it some of the crooked cops that towed my beater car? Some thugs from the Bronx? Or is it some cringe Shonen Protag dude?" I said with sarcasm.

"It's Terrence and Brittney." Ashley said bluntly.

"Even them? How did they die?" I said, raised my eyebrow.

"I don't know, it could be that they did or were summoned. They also got skills too." Ashley said. "Brittney got Psionics along with the Charm and Domination, Terrence with Berserker and Regeneration, and lastly Alexander with Severance."

"Alexander?" I asked.

"Yeah, Alexander Edmund. You know him?" Ashley nodded.

Severance? That was a skill that can cut magic at a certain Tier. It can not only pierce armor, it also can nullify Regeneration skills for some time.

However, it has a few weaknesses when it comes to it. It has a high magic cost, fairly long cooldown, and only effective in close-range. Also, it is dependent on the materials of said blade so if it doesn't pierce, it's useless.

But, I never heard of a person named Alexander Edmund.

"No, never heard of him." I shook my head as it doesn't ring any bells. "He dangerous?"

"Yeah, he managed to wound me." Ashley said.

Ashley turned her face to show the wound she received. Its wound is open and blood has yet to dry off. This wound is recent, but judging from her Regeneration, it would've healed by now.

"That Alex person cut you with a dragon weapon along with Severance." I said.

"Yeah, even though it is shallow, it stopped my Regeneration." Ashley said as she placed her hand on her wound.

I gave her a Healing Spell and the wound closed up, leaving no scar. Even if it was shallow, if she was stabbed somewhere in the vitals, it can very well kill her.

"We got ourselves a troublesome problem." I sighed in frustration as I finally got peace. Which brought me an idea.

"Espada, Miura, Islero, Saeva." I said.

*FWOOM!!*

The four Hellkins appeared in a plume of black flame in response of my call.

"So, what trouble we're stirring today?" Miura said.

"You know about the Outworlders, right?" I asked.

"Yeah? People from different worlds, be it reincarnation or summoning." Miura replied, raising her eyebrow.

"Then I got a big mission for you. The names are Brittney Payle, Terrence Hall, and Alexander Edmund. I need you to interrogate them." I said.

When it comes to Hellkins, saying a target's name to them will allow the Hellkins to hunt down that said individual, even if they never met said individual. However, it does not apply to Outworlders since they're obviously not born in this world.

But, there's a workaround. Tell them the description of said Outworlder about appearance, location, and skills to give them a greater chance of finding them.

Ashley and I began explaining on what the three Outworlders looks, their skills, their clothes, their likes and dislikes, and their relationships with each other.

"What about Arnox? He's from the Delphinus Theocracy and a court magician." Ashley said. "He'll be bringing in many adventurers and warriors from various kingdom once he spreads the word of our existence as Tyrants."

Yeah, even if we did kill Arnox, Delphinus would be hit with that sudden loss. Also, that kingdom is in alliance with Felexin as well.

"Interrogate him too." I said. "I'll make up something that he never heard of us at all."

"If all else fails, kill him. Make it look like some beasts ambushed him and killed him." I added. "You may go, except for Espada."

"Cool, we'll get started. Finding Arnox is easy." Miura smirked.

*FWOOOM!*

The Hellkins vanished in a plume of black flame, except for Espada.

"There's something I need to tell you specifically about Brittney." I said.

"Oh, a secret. Let me hear it." Espada became much more interested from my proposal. She walked up and I leaned to whisper in her ear.

As I whisper, Espada began listening very intently in hopes to use it to her advantage. Later, her eyes widened upon hearing something interesting.

"Oooh...how interesting." Espada giggled. "Then I'll be a little extra then."

Espada winked and disappeared in black flames as well.

"What did you tell her?" Ashley said, giving me a concerned look.

"A secret. Also, even if they recovered, their minds are pretty much shaken up." I said. "The moment the Hellkins find them, they're already screwed."

"Let's not forget about Espada's Promiscuous Aura. Her aura can affect both male and female inhabitants along with her Steam Magic, Mental Magic, and Succubus." I added.

"Seems that Espada is a nightmare for reconnaissance. She can manipulate without getting caught immediately after." Ashley said, nodding for Espada's capabilities.

"So, will you be alright?" I said. "That Severance skill along with the dragon weapon is bad news for both of us."

"I'll be fine, with the amount of monsters I ended up killing, I could be able to evolve or even progress. Go back to where you're doing." Ashley said.

I motioned Xydrid to come over with by waving my hand. Xydrid then walked over and lowered his head for me to climb onto his back. Groza flies to my forearm and I flew him to the opposite of our direction.

"Alden before you go, can I say one thing?" Ashley called out.

I turned around in response to her question.

"Thanks for coming to get me. I appreciate it." Ashley smiled with gratitude.

I smiled back and gave her the thumbs up and Xydrid flapped his red wings.

I leave the mountain, knowing that Ashley will be fine and knowing that the Hellkins will do their job.

And also to allow me to have my peaceful days.

{Meanwhile...}

Inside a bright white and blue room, the white rectangular cushions lay across the room. It was silent, very silent.

Until that silence is broken.

*THOOM!!*

"Hurry! Terrence's life hangs in the balance!" a person yelled wearing white.

"Medicine, Bandages, Magic, get them ready!"

"We need to stop Alexander's bleeding!"

The medical staff rush the four to the beds to tend to the wounds, but ten medical personnel tends to the person named Terrence since he is the most injured and the closest to death.

"I will assist you all." an old man said.

"But Sir Arnox, your injuries and your magic..." one of the medics said.

"I've already stopped the bleeding. His regeneration stopped the moment he fell unconscious so he must be healed no matter what." Arnox said.

"Terrence, please don't leave me!" Brittney shouted with tears in her eyes, begging him to persevere.

"Lady Brittney, please leave this to us. We will heal Terrence with the best of our abilities." one of the staff said.

"But..." Brittney wanted to protest, but Arnox interjects.

"We'll save him. We will call you when he is no longer in danger." Arnox said.

Brittney wanted to protest, but she knew that she could bring Terrence in greater danger if she were to delay them. She reluctantly walked out of the room to allow them to perform their operation.

She went into the room where they usually began planning and close the door. She heave a sigh in order to recollect herself and realize that panicking will not help anyone.

As soon she relaxes, a pink hand comes from behind and covers her mouth.

"Mmmph!?" Brittney screamed, but her mouth was muffled. She thrashes around to break free and retaliate by using her Psionic abilities.

*Wroooh...*

However, black tendrils from the shadows quickly emerged and grabbed both of her arms tightly to prevent her to move her arms or effectively use her abilities.

"Well, aren't you a bit feisty, huh?" a sultry voice whispered into her ear.

"Who is this person!? How did it get here and how did it know my name!?" Brittney thought. Her mind raced on thinking how this place was found and more importantly, it had a barrier that repels monsters below rank S.

Unless it is a human or a monster above rank S...or maybe far beyond that rank.

Worst of all, it breached the barrier undetected.

"I must break free!" Brittney thought and tried to use her Psionic Magic.

*Vzzz..zzz!*

The pink aura around her flickered and faded out shortly after. She then realizes that her Psionic Magic has a weakness. Her state of mind.

"How cute of you to struggle." a voice chuckled. "I promise that I will make you even cuter than before, Brittney."

"It...it knows my name?!" Brittney thought to herself, confused about how an unknown feminine being with pink skin knows her name and came to kidnap her.

"Before we start, let's find a different place." it said.

*Wrooooh...*

Darkness encroaches around the two individuals and they disappear from the room without a trace.

Where they are transported to is unknown.

What cruel fate will Brittney face?
