2. The Decision

THRD PERSON POV

Yes the reason he came all this way , the reason he refused to let anyone else do this job apart from himself was this very man ' his father '.Sekani Garmadon ` or at least he used to be .

The man he was looking at now was nothing more but a shadow of his former self . 

He was still gazing at those blue eyes , looking for a sense of life , a spark of the man he used to know but there was none .

Nothing but the same lifeless look he remembered five years ago . Sekani walked off the bed , the same small smile on his face .

He walked slowly , lazily as if the fact that he was here to kill him did not matter and finally stopped to stand in front of him .

''Mikael , won`t you give your 'old man' a hug?! It`s been so long ."

Sekani said but he was already stepped too close to what would be considered personal space , coiling his arms around Mika in what would have been considered a normal hug .

But , this was no normal hug , a close observer would see the visible struggle Sekani was exerting in his arms and a closer one would also see how pointless the force exerted was to Mika .

THe most likely cause of this was probably the minute thin crystal like membrane that appeared

covering Mika entirely .

The man suddenly pulled back in one quick motion , disappearing in one big step and appearing back near the bed .

"I hate it when you do that . Normally , that hug would have been enough to rip apart one of our enhanced soldiers but to you , It`s nothing more than a tap !!! Truly your title as the modern day Adam does not lie ''

 A hint of anger broke through the facade of a smile that was on his face .

Sekani swung his arms wildly , the angle they traced both in humane and impossible for what a normal human should be able to do .

'' I wonder ... what makes your angrier ... ? . " Mika started walking backwards circling the bed to where the black armoured guard stood .

" The fact that you tried to infect me with the airborne virus your body is secreting and failed ..."

His earlier clenched teeth relaxed and his bloodshot eyes returned to their normal white "... or the fact that you failed to call for backup ! "

His body shot forward violently , his arm covered once again in that crysaline membrane .

' Whooshh '

In a spit second the guards head was sent flying and in another quick maneuver he returned to where he stood , the tentacle limb completely missing where he stood .

"And now it`s just you and and me ! " 

Silence once again returned , no sound of breathing , no sound of blinking no sound of a heart beat.... a truly abnormal silence . 

'Sekani was now visibly sweating . If he could his muscles would be twitching in agitation or was it excitement .

He burst out laughing , a silent almost deranged laughter, as if he did not wish to break the sacred silence between the two .

Sekani finally clapped , a slow loud clap ," I'm impressed , you actually planned all this through . And you also managed to reach me but... "

His smile widened fully showing his teeth as he opened his arms widely .

" ... YOU CAN'T KILL MEEEE ! " Sekani laughed again , soundlessly as his body begun to unveil the inner monster that was kept hidden .

His body became bulkier ,the night gown he wore bursting releasing four tentacle like limbs from his back , the skin covering his frame visibly withered and was replaced by a white hard membrane .

His jaw almost looked to be ripped apart widely as the whole of his normal teeth fell off being replaced by long shark like saws , his arms finally became large and grotesque the fingers deforming to sharp blades .

'One minute left . ' 

Mika lightly clenched his fist , feeling the hard object he held . " Why don`t you attack ?? " Mika asked, slowly smiling a cold cruel smile .

" Maybe it's because you're afraid of me beating you up ? ... It always made you angry , right ... LOANNIS !!"

The monster personating his father, the monster that he really wanted to kill , the virus that should have died the moment it was born.

His very own twin `brother` , Loannis Garmadon .

Loannis slowly clenched his teeth . Enraged ,his body now visibly trembled ." MY NAME IS DUNAMIS .. "

His voice was monstrous , visible steam coming from his every breath. A sudden burst of killing intent burst forth , Completely immobilizing him as his body went into shock . 

Another usefull skill Mika liked using , a burst of killing intent that sent the brain into a state of shock.

Mika was now visibly angry , to think he was almost regretting doing this , but before everything else , he needed answers .

'' Why did you do all this .. why did you make your self a MONSTER ... WHY DID YOU ATTACK MOTHER!!! ... WHY DID YOU KILL OUR FATHER ... ANSWER ME YOU BASTARD ???!!!"

Mika shouted almost screamed out , he still did not breathe , there was no huffing or puffing and visible trembling , just pure visible killing intent that was directed to Loa....NO the MONSTER in front of him. 

POV : LOANNIS

Loan was still unmoving , his body refused his commands but his smile still stretched crookedly an outer sign for the normal hate he fell inwards .

" Why , you`re asking me WWHHYYY !! ...IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU !! I ATTACKED MOTHER BECAUSE SHE LOVED YOU MORE !!. I KILLED FATHER BECAUSE HE TRIED TO HELP YOU ESCAPE !! . I BECAME THIS MONSTER SO I COULD KILL YOU !!! ALL OF THIS IS YOUR FALT !!EVERYTHING IV'E DONE IS YOUR FALT ! IF ONLY YOU WERE'NT THE SPECIAL ONE NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED . I WAS MEANT TO BE PERFECT , I WAS MEANT TO BE BEAUTIFUL , NOT YOU !!!!"

 His body trembled violently almost as if in denial of harsh reality that was his life .

loan wished he could move his body , wished he could shake of this killing intent that constricted his body .

He wished to look into Mikael's eyes and see the despair and guilt in them , he wished to see him blame himself for everything that had happened , because everything bad that had happened was Mikael's fault.

But what he saw terrified him , it shocked him , he struggled more , as he gazed into those soulless eyes . There was NOTHING !!

He expected anger , he expected hate , he expected guilt but the blankness in those eyes terrified him .

POV : MIKAEL

Mika felt nothing , he expected those words would have an effect on him but now there was just nothing . There was no more hesitation .

His brother was gone , all that was left was the jealous monster standing in front of him .

His arms snaked forward in circling the monster's neck and he pushed on the syringe in his hand it's sharp edge piercing the monster easily and injecting the compound it held ..

( FROM NOW I'LL USE HARDENING TO DESCRIBE THE CRYSTAL MEMBRANE FORMING ON MIKAEL )

Loannis struggle finally came through , the tentacles at his back whipped out stabbing towards Mika their edges taking a metallic sheen .

Mika hardened his arms , his hands dicing the approaching tentacles with masterful ease .

Loannis took the opportunity to get distance , he tried to regrow the cut off tentacles but the process failed .

" WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO MEEE !!?? "

"I've just realized that you never truly understood father . '' Mika replied, talking to himself.

Mika showed the syringe he still held onto " Did you ever know that father knew you continued undergoing the experiments ... ?" Loannis was shocked .

" WHAT !! That 's impo ... '' "Do you know why he didn't stop you ? " Loannis was silent awaiting for the answer .

" For him this was supposed to be an experiment, a test in his own words. I guess he was curious to see which one had better results . The experiment he was conducting on me or the one you were undergoing ."

Mika stopped , remembering a certain distance memory . " That's why when he realized the adverse effects of the experiment you underwent , he improved it and applied the results to me "

Loannis was trembling once again , his face went purple in anger and his eyes turned pitch black .

"But he did not stop there . Out of spite for your 'betrayal' he made something else . Serum X , a compound that was created for the sole reason of suppressing you !"

Loannis was shocked . He could feel it , his body refused to regenerate , his body refused to split and worst of all , the clones he had created were perishing .

The connection he had with those he infected was gone !!

'' But you know what I find funny . The fact that the serum was in this very house any you didn't know Ha ha ha !! "

loannis launched himself towards Mika but a quick side step sent him flying past him . Loannis came right back ,swinging his grotesque arms but Mika parried and avoided them with skilled ease .

The wind picked up by their movement , a deadly dance that one wrong move could cost the other's life .

Mika palmed the monster's stomach breaking the bone armour there and sending it sliding away from him .

 / VOMITING SOUNDS / Loannis wiped the blood from his mouth and growled .

" You must be curious , where could the serum have been hidden that you could never find ??"

The monster stopped once again . " Maybe father's office , the one you were always afraid to approach. OR maybe behind a specific family portrait , the one you were never part of !!! " 

Mika finally smiled , watching the monster once again trembled as it realized the hidden truth . The action filled him with a sickening joy .

 ' Time's up '

\SIREN STARTS SOUNDING\

He ignored the noise and continued '' You've probably realized by now ... you weren't the only one stalling . You can feel it right , all the spare bodies you made dying one after the other ... and you can't do anything about it ,''

Mika burst out laughing a loud mocking laughter that enraged the monster .

'ROOAAARRRR'

Mika circled the monster waiting for it to act " There is no escape brother ! I've already won !! "

" NoT YEt , I JuST HaVe to KILL YoU aND .... " " But you can't brother , you already know this . That's why the monster in you is losing control . IT fears me . IT knows I'm stronger . IT knows I'm faster . IT KNOWS I'M BETTER !!!"

 "This is it brother . It's over ." Mika removed the tiny handle that was hanging on his hip. He wanted to see the face loannis would make , the face of complete defeat when faced with despair .

'BANG , BANG , BANG .'

The door Mika entered from earlier was being heavily knocked on , but it would not budge . None of them had the necessary strength required to forcefully open the door . Obviously , they weren't him .

Loannis regained some of the hope he had , he just had to survive long enough until help arrived and he would win !

" Do you know what this is ? " Mika raised the remote he held , showing it off casually and pressed the button on it , ''It's the controller for the hydrogen cell bomb I placed in fathers office ..."

Dread replaced the look that was on loannis as he went on all fours and started rushing towards Mika .

A last futile attempt to harm Mika . ' THUUDD' The door behind crushed down as a swarm of armed guards rushed in guns blazing .

'SHIU, SHIU SHIU SHIU '

His perspective overclocked again as he could see everything approach ever so slowly . The claws slowly approaching his chest and the bullets nearing his head .

He could dodge it all , it would only need one quick movement and every attack would fly past him but ...

HE WAS TIRED .

He closed his eyes ,refusing to let the last thing he looked at to be the ugly face approaching him .

The feeling of FREEDOM took over him , it felt soo nice , so godly and for the first time on this very night his heart was beating in his chest .

' I'M SORRY URIEL'

'BBBBOOOOOOOMMMMMM'

[ ON THIS VERY DAY THE MODERN DAY ADAM HAD DIED . ]

It felt like he was floating , as if he was dreaming a far of distant memory .

' Come Mika , I'll tell you a story .' he remembered a distance past . Simpler times that he would listen to his mother talk for hours and would never tire of it .
