Information Network.

Aurora walked through some empty and lonely alleys of the Atlantis City.

She was in the middle of big buildings, in the back alleys where nobody went in for fear of something bad happening.

She had a clear goal and a guide who told her where to go.

"It is at that door," Liam said through her headphones.

Aurora hesitated for a moment but had no choice but to knock on the door at the pace Liam had mentioned.

Three long knocks and two fast ones.

"Password?"

Eyes relieved on the small door hatch and a thick voice sounded from the other side.

"The kittens are cute..." Said Aurora with trembling lips.

The door opened immediately.

"Is this a joke?" Aurora asked before entering.

That password was... 'Different'.

"No," Liam answered, and when he saw that Aurora still wasn't coming in, he muttered. "Who would think that this is the right password to talk to the leaders of an information network?"

Aurora was speechless.

He was right... She had visited several local information networks and each had strange methods of contacting them, but this was the one that surpassed all imagination.

Entering the building, the first thing she saw was a big man with strong muscles who made it clear to everyone who looked at him that he was a strong fighter.

Specifically, an A-Rank wrestler, who served as the sole guard of the information network.

The password discrepancy with a strong 'gorilla' protecting the entrance was enormous.

"Follow me." The gorilla ordered.

Aurora obeyed with a sigh.

"Don't worry, these guys are reliable," Liam commented quite confidently.

Following the gorilla, who continued down several corridors and then down into the basement, Aurora froze when she reached the room where she was to meet.

It was a game room where men and women were playing computer games... specifically a shooting game.

They were so into the game that no one noticed Aurora's presence... Or would it be better to say that they ignored her?

"Boss has a visitor." Said the gorilla as he approached a woman.

The woman ignored the gorilla, but the next moment Aurora saw the character leading the woman to die... by a knife from an enemy coming from the front, running directly towards her.

She was bad, very bad, but...

"Damn it! You got me killed!" grumbled the woman, getting up and throwing her headphones on the desk.

The bouncer just shrugged his shoulders and left while everyone else continued to play with amusing laughter.

"Liam, if this is a joke, I'll tell Alice to beat you up," Aurora whispered weakly.

What kind of information network was this?

There were known information networks that invited her to a quiet place to talk, but here everyone was playing.

"Aurora Campbell. Leader of the 'Protectors of Zerzura', welcome." Said the woman and with a smile, she introduced herself. "I am Serena Dolloway and I have the information you requested."

Aurora's lips quivered at the unofficial name of her group, which others established without her knowledge.

"Now you get it, boss. Even though she's a bad player, she's a good one." Liam commented in a serious tone.

That name was known only locally in and around Zerzura, it didn't even appear in the mercenary guild report... Well, the one that officially revealed to everyone what they didn't have enough authority.

"Shut up Liam! I'm not bad, it was that guy who interrupted me." Serena scolded with a murderous look on her neck.

Aurora's lips trembled, but she recognized the woman's ability.

Right now she was wearing small headphones that were virtually invisible and had safeguards so that normal individuals and some users of acute sensory skills could not hear her conversation.

But the woman did something different, she had only tapped into her communication network and was listening to it herself, using a strange talent.

Also, Liam was watching through the camera on her neck that was practically invisible... That same camera that Serena was watching.

With a dry cough, Serena passed some documents to Aurora and then began to explain. "The only people interested in the temporary dungeon that will open in a few days are mercenary groups and small guilds of adventurers from the B-rank or maybe the A-rank."

Hearing those words, Aurora frowned and asked. "Anything else?"

She had asked Liam to get her the address of a good information network in the City of Atlantis, that was because the dungeon they had to clean up appeared here.

It was his job to be prepared for any situation and in case the situation became more complicated than expected.

The information they would provide would make her aware if something strange happened and if it did, it would give her time to prepare in advance.

"Yes, a gang sought information about the dungeon. According to our information source, their leader thought they could take it for themselves if they moved the right contacts, however, they have not asked for more information and have not made any moves since they learned that the academy would take it." Serena responded with a calm expression.

"Don't you have information about demons? Illegal mercenaries or something of great relevance?" asked an interested Aurora.

That information was not at all conspicuous, and while the 'gang' might attract attention, there were so many insignificant gangs that it was difficult to worry about them.

Serena frowned slightly at this strange question but finally shook her head.

"Nothing remarkable has happened in the city," Serena answered professionally and before Aurora asked another strange question, she added. "And even if a demon were to deign to do something, it would basically be suicide to do it in this city."

Aurora nodded, understanding her perspective a bit.

To act illegally in this city and in a conspicuous way would be practically suicide due to the high security of the city.

"Any situation I'll keep you informed, you don't need to worry," Serena added with a soft smile.

"Thank you." Responded Aurora thankfully for the excellent service.

The payment had already been made by Liam, so there was nothing to worry about.

As she was leaving the building she noticed the gorilla was at the door playing, he seemed to be just like the others in that way.

Shaking her head gently she left the building and then followed the alleys she had come through.

As she approached the main street she noticed a young woman waiting for her with a bag of chips in her hand.

"How was it?" Alice asked curiously.

"Without any relevant information." Replied Aurora, shaking her head.

She had not really expected the dungeon that Professor Miller selected to be one that appeared in the city of Atlantis... Or should we say that it appeared on the island of Atlantis.

Even so, Aurora decided to investigate to see if there was any trace of the people she might attack or of anyone who was preparing something 'dirty'.

For her, it was too risky to attack a place in the city of Atlantis, because of the security portals that could move the authorities to any part of the island.

"I guess they will attack the second group." Reflected Aurora with disinterest.

The second group was led by Leslie and Andres, this particular group was the other most likely target.

The third group was Alice's, and this was the group least likely to be attacked.

After all, there was an A-Rank member of the group, and worse still, this member was strong enough to take on other A-Ranks, as was demonstrated in Greece.

Logically, several A-ranks or only one S-rank could beat her, but someone with that strength would not take a chance with such a plan.

So there were only two options left and since this was the first option, Aurora had sought information to be sure.

"Don't underestimate the demons and the players," Alice warned in a serious tone and when Aurora looked at her, she added. "They are crazy and may do whatever they wish without regard to the consequences."

The 'players' were just the lunatics who did atrocities on Terra nova and when they found out it was real, their minds were so affected that they continued to think the same way long after.

To create a kingdom, to become gods, to conquer the world... The last lunatic of that type erased all Jerusalem and started a great war to which he attracted tens of thousands of demons.

Aurora nodded at this reminder.

"Well, 'beating' an SS Rank and kidnapping the heroes of the academy would certainly raise the fame of any demon by allowing him to be recruited into any demonic sect," Alice added in a simple tone.

How much fame would a demon have when he abducted students from the prestigious academy of heroes, after having made an attack on the city of Atlantis and getting away with it?

Certainly, it was possible that the demons would do something for that option... After all, once they entered a cult, they could receive anything they 'wanted' to the extent that they could receive the blessing of the demon god that the cult worshipped.

Well, that's what the recruiters were saying.

There were so many sects serving and worshipping all kinds of evil or demonic gods, that it was difficult to say if any of them actually received any response from the existence they worshipped.

After all, to receive an answer from higher existences, it was known that believers had to make 'sacrifices'.

Even so, all such sects were dangerous, even if they were not filled with lunatics.

"No matter what happens, I must only participate". Said Aurora in a simple tone.

The important thing was not whether it happened or not, but that she was prepared.
