In a small port in the City of Atlantis that was in disuse, the waters became agitated while some demons jumped from the ocean to the port.
A disfigured human with an extra eye on his cheek led two humans whose expressions were cold.
Next to him jumped a few dozen lackeys.
The leaders were strong A-rank demons that served a powerful demonic cult.
It did not take long for a man to run up to his subordinates from the port.
"Thank you very much for coming." Said the gang leader in a serious tone and looking at the harbor, he commented. "I did my best to empty the harbor for your arrival."
His humble and complacent tone made the three-eyed demon smile triumphantly.
This was the way they were to be treated everywhere.
Before he could speak about the important subject his senses noticed a slight tremor in the magical energy.
It was so subtle that one would think that a magician cast a weak spell, but the reality was different...
*BANG*
An explosive sound resounded and a lackey's head was shattered by a sniper's bullet from afar.
"Damn it! Ambush! Retreat!" Shouted the demon leader as he kicked the gang leader in anger.
It didn't matter if the gang leader knew about the ambush or if he was the one who betrayed them, it didn't matter anymore.
"Ugh..." The gang leader was thrown into the air for that kick.
And when the leader of the demons began to retreat he noticed how a dozen portals opened and revealed members of the city's force of authority.
Mechanics, fighters, swordsmen, and...
"Where do you think you are going?" cried the squad captain as the earth shook with his words.
An S-rank mage just waved his hand and dozens of spikes of earth began to rise up from the ground hurting the demons and stopping them.
For demons there were no laws for their protection, as for those who were not 'bad', they did not need to enter illegally when there were legal methods for their acceptance.
Besides, these demons had a dirty deal with the local gang and wanted to create problems.
Against these dangerous individuals, no one should limit themselves.
"Retreat!" shouted the demon leader releasing a psionic wave to affect the minds of the security team members.
"Hmph."
"Hmph."
With a double snort, two psionics created a barrier covering their partners, protecting them from the attack.
The expression of the leader and the other A-rank members turned pale.
"They are not allowed to leave."Declared the mage Rank S, when some lackeys tried to hide in the sea, the land rose creating a wall and this wall began to corner them.
An S-Rank mage did not need to prepare spells, he only controlled the element at will, that was the great difference with a lower rank.
An abysmal difference.
"Shit." The leader cursed with an expression full of anger because of the situation, but when he looked at himself with his companions the three of them nodded.
The S-rank mage noticed what they were doing and without hesitation formed dozens of spikes of earth to kill the demons.
"Ugh..."
One of the A-Rank demons was impaled, but the other was able to create a psionic barrier, and he finished by establishing a strong magical barrier that could prevent the lethality of that attack.
Those two demons broke scrolls and disappeared with a teleportation spell.
"Tch... How much money do you want to spend?" murmured the mage of S-rank with an annoying expression.
Those scrolls cost quite a bit because they could resist the interference of space barriers, which they had activated.
It was obvious that this was their trump card for escapes.
"Shall we follow him, leader?" asked a mechanic in a high-tech combat suit, and with a serious expression, he explained. "By following the space waves we can track them, but we can interrupt the other assault teams."
"Of course we must follow him." Replied the S-rank mage as he floated.
It was true that there was another assault team in charge of tracking and registering all those who teleported to any part of the island, but this case was special.
"I understand that the boss is doing Director Vincent a favor, but it's already getting annoying having to clean up someone else's mess." Murmured the mage of Rank S with a bitter tone and seeing that the mechanics brought space tracking devices, he added. "Well, let's finish this job quickly, those bastards won't get away."
The other team members only sighed at what was waiting for the demons.
"So early and so chaotic..." muttered the tracking mechanic, yet he sped up his work.

"Aurora, I am Serena. I have just received news that the city authorities have hunted down some demons that tried to reach the coast this morning. As I understand it, these demons sought to reach an empty port after negotiating with a gang to hide it, but there was a traitor in their ranks and they were ambushed". Serena reported with a professional and simple tone.
Aurora hesitated for a moment, but in the end, she asked. "Is it possible for them to do something?"
"No, all the demons that managed to escape have been captured or killed. In this raid, an S-rank was involved." Serena commented with a simple tone and a sigh, she added. "This is the only thing I could get. Apart from that, the whole city is quiet without news and as for your dungeon, it's the same."
"I understand, thank you. I'll tell Liam I sent an extra for the follow-up information." Said Aurora and then after hearing the simple answer from the other party, she ended the call.
With a serious expression, Aurora looked around.
Eva and Cristian, Wendy, Marc, Alexey, and Erica were with their teams ready.
All around her was a camp that gave a strange feeling to the area where she was.
The City of Atlantis did not occupy the entire island... It would be better to say that once the city was created the island began to expand thanks to the magicians and the local government.
Now in one section, they had a tourist area for the paradisiacal enjoyment of the island and this was another section that stimulated the nature of the island with a small forest, creating a large natural park.
It was in this park that the temporary dungeon was formed.
Looking at the celestial portal that was in the middle of the camp, Aurora sighed.
Everything was ready and there were no traces of enemies.
Professor Santulli, Professor Miller, and Professor Villacrés were present, in charge of security and organization.
Support students were waiting, with the healing students preparing further.
Aurora informed Alice of the situation.
Her friend listened indifferently as she ate her chips and since Aurora was curious about her opinion, she asked. "What do you think?"
"I don't know, maybe these demons are unrelated to our business or maybe it's just a distraction," Alice replied with a shrug.
It happened the same day they were going to head for the dungeon.
For Aurora it made her raise her guard, but...
"No matter what the reason, you have to be careful," Alice warned, and with a serious expression, she declared. "Temporary dungeons are dangerous even without external enemies within them."
Noticing that Aurora was only half nodding, Alice reminded him. "In most cases, you can't just enter through the main entrance. There are many ways to enter this type of dungeon."
"I understand," Aurora responded with a smile to her friend's concern.
However, her eyes were serious.
She already knew this information and was therefore attentive.
She was not nervous or worried, this was not her first mission or her first dungeon.
That didn't mean she wasn't serious enough.
With or without outside enemies, students could get hurt and she would have to be there to support them.
"By the way, ask your 'system' to let you know if anything happens," Alice commented in a strange tone.
Aurora's lips trembled.
The way she said 'system' felt like Alice didn't believe she had a system she could interact with... It seemed to make it look like she was acting like a lost child in her fantasies.
All of this even though she had told her years ago and had proven her existence by invoking swords that her system could give her and things that she could store.
Of course, at that time they were no more than ten years old and Aurora disguises herself as a superhero like in the comics, so maybe her evidence lost the necessary effect.
"I'll do it," Aurora replied with a nod.
Her system was versatile and could accomplish that task with ease.
"Okay, I'll take it from here. You just worry about what happens inside and let me know if you need my help." Alice said as she ate her chips.
Her words sounded like those of a concerned partner, but the way she said it and her tone while eating her chips as if there was no concern only made her look like empty words and did not generate any confidence.
Certainly, Alice was unreliable in some situations, but in serious cases... Her professionalism and dedication were quite recognizable.
At least for Aurora, she was quite reliable.
Receiving a pat on the back from Alice, she stepped forward to the Erica group of which she was Vice-Captain.
Looking at the twenty-five prepared students with serious expressions, Professor Miller stepped forward in front of everyone.
Behind him was the sky-blue portal that trembled as space contorted.
Passing through that portal would take them to the temporary dungeon if left for several days without cleaning it, then from that same portal, a great many creatures would come out.
"I don't think I need to repeat words of caution. Prioritize your safety and that of your group, protect yourselves and if you cannot, just activate your protection badges and we will immediately send a teacher or senior students to help you." Professor Miller reminded them by pointing to the sophomores.
Gregorio and Oliver, who were A-ranks, just smiled and nodded.
They were not the only ones, Frank and Jordan from Rank B were present together with other senior students.
Some students touched the plaque on their chest, this emergency plaque would create a barrier and call the teachers' attention to send help.
It was simple, but an effective measure in an emergency.
"That's it, you can go in."Professor Miller commented, stepping aside to let them in.
The whole group looked at the portal.
Some were worried and others nervous, but with Erica, in the lead, the whole group moved forward and disappeared into the portal.
