July 4 arrived. Nate was having a barbecue, and we were setting off fireworks. What could go wrong with fireworks and the family? Have you met this family?

As Nate cooked, Pat, Dominique, and Karen helped with the side dishes. Jonas and Cayson left to pick up the fireworks. The boys played volleyball as I took it easy. Simple, right? Did we forget Grammy Gray was here?

She came out and placed a drink in front of me. She took a seat across from me.

/"Why aren’t you playing with the boys?/"

/"Because I prefer my nose not to get busted again./" I smiled.

She let out a hearty chuckle. /"My grandsons have taken quite a shine to you./"

/"Yeah, but it hasn’t always been that way. Growing up with the brothers wasn’t easy./"

/"Growing up with the Gray boys is never easy./" She smirked.

/"How did you raise three boys?/"
