After waiting for some time, Aakesh's turn arrived. Unlike the continental traveling portal, Aakesh didn't need to be in a group to travel at once.

Aakesh then paid the required amount for him and Lily. The travel portal suddenly lightened up and embraced Aakesh, and not long after, the same phenomenon happened to Lily.

Since the planet Visteerna had originated from an infinitesimally tiny piece of the fourth dimension, the rules here acted differently. Every continent had a barrier around it, which made the travel between the continents expensive. If someone wanted to travel without the traveling portal, it took a long time.

If Aakesh were to travel from the Anga continent to the Vajji continent without the continental traveling portal, it would have taken him years, if not decades, to cover the distance, as breaking the barrier between the continents wasn't easy.
