Abi pulled her hands away startling the woman but she only smiled and shook her head. Her eyes softened. She did not look like the commanding brute she was in that room, but a motherly figure. Had Abi gone blind or had she lost her brain after having a tough day?
For some reason, she felt motherly vibes from a stranger.
"Your mother and I were good friends." as if she had read the dilemma on her face, she explained softly as she rubbed Abi's hands. "She was waiting for you eagerly. She used to knit sweaters for you and what not. She used to call me every other day to share designs with her. I used to tell her that she had gone senile and she was not the only pregnant woman.
But… I miss her. How she would have grieved for your absence." the woman sighed with a look of longing in her eyes and it finally dawned on Abigail. She had taken her as the lost princess Dion was talking about.
