His eyes searched for her face and saw fear there. A pang of guilt hit him.
"Abi, I have something to confess." he did not care if she found him a cheater. But he had to tell her that they were her family. Maybe she would be more confident then.
"Dion, you do not need to worry. I trust you. I know that you have done nothing wrong but they blame you because they think I am the real heiress." She brushed his hair with a look of tenderness and softness. His heart clenched. "I trust you." The words echoed in his mind so hard that mixed with his pulse, he did not hear the rest.
