The auction carried on for a few more hours, filled with dazzling displays and fierce bidding wars for impressive treasures. Cain, ever vigilant, kept his senses attuned for anything of interest. Amidst the myriad of items presented, he acquired one more treasure. This acquisition nearly emptied his funds, leaving him with only a handful of spirit coins, but he was sure his wealth would rise very soon.
Satisfied with his purchases and with a plan for the incoming clash already in motion, Cain collected his treasures and calmly left the auction hall. As he returned to the main hall of the Millennium Auction House, he was met by Nora, the young woman who had given him the golden liquid that made it easier for his enemies to track him.
