Run! Run! Run!
The words continued to echo in Zane's head as he ran faster and faster towards the door, Beads of sweat ran down his chin and he felt someone hold his hand, practically dragging him quickly. The Door! A few meters left.
Evander jumped up and they reached the door on one footing and crashed to the ground.
Slam!
The door shut a few seconds after they crossed over. Zane sat up hurriedly and looked around. One, two, three. He counted before he rested on the wall, they were complete, good.
Nobody talked or made any noise, they just leaned on the wall, taking deep breaths. A close shave, it was a very close shave. Zane sighed and he rubbed the fish scale on his chest. A few minutes ago, the scale had become colder, like cold ice on his skin but it just returned to its temperature. He took another deep breath and calmed himself down, he could thank the Heavens later or be moody later but this was another room.
