The Role Was Quickly Reversed

{The Next Morning}  Xian woke up. She got up quickly as soon as she remembered where she was and felt a little embarrassed. She turned to look at Lu but he was still asleep. She started to relax. She sighed of relief that he was okay and the accident didn't cause him more injuries. Lu woke up and they didn't say anything. They were both in the room in silence but it didn't feel awkward. After a while, the nurse came by and brought Lu food. He called Xian over and said take half. Xian was shocked she didn't expect him to share half of his food with her she thought he just needed something or the nurse forgot something.

Lu realized her shocked expression and guilty expression then said, "Or did you already eat?" Xian felt bad. He was in the hospital because of me and he still wanted to share half of his food with me? Am I really going to shamelessly eat half of his food? I didn't even have to think about it I quickly replied: "I already ate." Lu looked at her one more time and was about to say "are you sure you don't want some" but took it back before even saying it. He had already noticed she had a hungry look all over her face, she was practically begging in the streets. He stopped talking and without saying another word he got the spoon put half of the jello on the tray then proceeded and put half of the banana on the tray and half the sandwich there as well.

Xian was thinking man this kid has serious issues. What type of eating habit was this? The next moment she was stunned he handed her the plate that he organized nicely with half of the food and gave it to her. She felt bad she noticed he stayed with the tray and it looked like a mess but she felt embarrassed to ask him to trade. Then she replied, "uh thank you, but your the one who needs to eat more food" so before he can do anything about it she had already given him back the plate of food and got the tray instead. So he wouldn't say anything else and give her the plate back she gave him back his tray.

I organized his food back on to his plate then put his plate back onto his tray and said, " I already ate so I'm not that hungry but I'll take half of your banana anyway, thank you" and then thought, I guess I am shamelessly going to eat half of his food. Lu was stunned he was the one trying to be nice so how was the role suddenly reversed? He then saw how happy she with just half of the banana and finally relaxed and started eating after she did. It was almost time for us to leave. The doctor came by and said you can now go to the front office to get your belongings. They both replied with "thank you."

When the doctor left Xian noticed Lu was gonna get up to go for his stuff so she stopped him as she said, "it's okay I'll go for your stuff it's I have to go ask them something anyway." She left before he can even say anything. {At the front office} Xian saw the nurse and rushed to her. I came to get Lu's belongings. The nurse politely gave him his clothes and an ID. She was confused? That's all? Does he not have a phone? She didn't ask about it and just went on with what she was going to ask. How much is the bill going to cost? The nurse then replied, "it was already paid." It was already paid? She no longer questioned the nurse thinking the insurance must've covered and said thank you.

Xian was heading back to Lu's room when she decided to see Lu's ID. She looked at it and thought huh, as expected handsome. She suddenly felt something behind the ID. It was a picture of a girl. The girl was really pretty. She was a redhead with long hair. Even though she had red hair she had a mixture of brown with it. I wonder who she is? She must be very important for him if not why else would he keep the picture with him.
