Everyone stared at the scene of Drew snapping Phil's neck in shock. For a moment, they thought Phil was acting.
But after his body slammed to the ground and remained unmoving, they had to accept the truth.
"How..?" Diego gulped.
The current Drew looked so foreign to him.
"You are so dead!" Phil's companion roared at Drew and immediately ran with all his might towards his horse.
But how could he outrun a Deviant?
Drew caught up with him and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him up like a piece of leaf.
"Tell me, who are you?"
Phil's companion burst into menancing laughter.
"Who am i? That dosen't matter. Just know that you've offended somebody you shouldn't have. Hahahaha. You'll die a miserable death!"
"But if i kill you right now, no body will know right?" Drew smirked coldly.
"I.." the cow boy felt a cold shiver.
Indeed, nobody would know. Wouldn't that mean he would die a useless death.
He attempted to reach for the phone in his pocket, but Drew tactically kicked it away.
The cow boy gulped. He was so finished. He knew begging wouldn't work — Phil was proof of that.
Just as he was about to resign to fate, he felt Drew throw him to the ground.
"Huh?"
"You are kind of handsome. So i'll give you a chance at living. Scram far away from this place. If i ever see your foot print around after now, that would be the day of your death" Drew spoke with a disinterested smirk.
It was like he was sparing a fly. Unworthy of much attention.
However, the cow boy didn't have the luxury to take offense. Picking himself up, he fled as fast as his legs could carry him.
"That wasn't a good idea" Amelia shook her head.
She thought that Drew was just being over confident.
All full of smiles, Drew walked over towards his mother and Diego who had unreadable expressions.
"I am back!"
Clang. Clish. Clink.
Sound of spoon brushing against ceramic plates resounded.
Currently, a family of four sat at a dining table, eating their meal, with brilliant vestige.
Who were they, if not Drew, his mum, Diego and Amelia.
"I heard from Diego that you traveled to a distant place years ago. Do you know how much i worried when i didn't get letters or calls from you?" Drew's mum blabbered.
Her name was Victoria.
Drew threw an appreciative glance at Diego. As expected of his bed bud, he just made his lie easier to make!
"Yup. Diego's right. Actually, i have been secretly taught by a powerful master right from when i was a child" Drew lied with all seriousness.
"You mean a Deviant?" Victoria gasped.
Although she lived in a village, she was quite knowledgeable about who Deviants were.
"Yup. These past two years i was away was spent training by my master's side" Drew explained.
-AUTHOR NOTE: I made a mistake at chapter two. Drew spent two years in coma. Not two weeks. Thanks!
"Awesome! no wonder why you were able to beat that hoodlum!" Victoria beamed with joy.
Which parent didn't want their children to achieve greatness in life.
"You are really lucky to find such an outstanding master. I envy you bro" Diego smiled strangely at Drew.
Only him knew that the latter was just bullshitting. Which training with master?
This dude was friggin' in coma.
However thanks to their bro code, he didn't bother exposing this lie.
"Hm. Who were those cow boys anyways?" Drew asked the question in his mind.
"They are Phil and Gary. They belong to a small gang called the Carizo Blud gang. They engage in extortion, money lending and racketing" Diego replied.
"What are the police doing about it then?" Drew frowned.
"They have tried eradicating them, but the gang is too strong for the Sheriff of the village. Once they went on a full blown war and the Sherrif was killed by the gang Leader. Bullets don't do much to him and he possess bizzare strength. He's a Deviant for sure"
"Isn't the Sherrif one too?"
Diego snickered with self mockery.
"Do you think Deviants are cabbages that you can find by the road side?"
"Plus with their ego the size of a planet, how would they settle for becoming a small time village Sherrif, with peanuts as salary?"
Drew nodded in agreement. Diego's words were quite logical.
But he was completely unbothered. He had enough deci points to level up to two or three times.
There was no way the gang leader of a small village gang would be that powerful.
At most, level two.
"We have to leave this village before Gary returns with reinforcement" Victoria held Drew's hands, worried in her eyes.
"How can you say that mum? this land is the only thing those thieves didn't forcefully take from you and you want to abandon it because of some local bandits? if you can allow it, i won't!" a terrifying pressure gushed out from Drew.
Apart from Amelia who was a Deviant, Diego and Victoria found it hard to breathe.
"Sorry" Drew retracted his aura.
He was so angry that he unconsciously released his aura.
"I completely understand" Victor smiled bitterly.
Looking for a way to lighten up the mood, Diego turned towards Amelia.
"If i may ask, are you Drew's fellow disciple?"
Victoria also turned towards her. She was also quite curious about who the young lady her son brought home was.
"No i'm not"
"Are you his.. Hehe" Victoria gave her a knowing look, causing a ting of blush to appear on Amelia's cheeks.
"Mum!" Drew cried.
"What? i was just asking a harmless question!"
"Gosh. Amelia is just a manager in my company. Don't think too much about it okay?" Drew massaged his temple.
"Company? you already have a company?!" Victoria and Diego chorused.
The family of four ate up. Amelia offered to wash the dishes. Although Victoria disagreed at first, she had to agree after much pesterings from the former.
Anticipating Gary's reinforcement, Drew was anxious to level up. He got into his former room where he used to live in during his childhood.
Although it had been a long time, Victoria never forgot to clean it up.
Due to this, there was no cobwebs or dust.
Theo sat on the mat on the cold tiles and opened the system panel.
-[POINTS]
-Deci Points: 69732
-[DOES HOST WISH TO ADVANCE STRENGTH STAT TO LEVEL 2? IT WILL COST 60 DECI POINTS]
"Now it's six deci points to a stat point!" although he somewhat expected it, Drew couldn't help but complain inwardly.
After giving the go ahead, he felt a searing pain. It was like his bones were being broken and re mended.
Bearing the pain, Drew used the emotional pain he felt when Angela broke up with him to fuel his resolve.
She broke up with him just because she managed to awaken as a Deviant?
Well, he would show her that her being short sighted was the biggest mistake in her life.
Thanks to this, he was able to bear the pain. After a while he got up and clenched his fist.
He could fill the explosive strength packed within. But he was far from done!
His goal was to reach level three!
-[DOES HOST WISH TO ADVANCE AGILITY STAT TO LEVEL 2? IT WILL COST 60 DECI POINTS]
"Do it!"
Currently at a dimly lit chamber, a burly man with many beards ate red grapes, being mouth fed by one of the two scantily dressed ladies in his arms.
As for the other one, she kept on trailing her smooth fingers around his tanned and rough skin.
"Hmm.." the burly man moaned, pulling her closer and locking lips with her.
But this sensual moment was interrupted by the sudden collapse of the door.
"Who?!" the burly man glared hatefully at the intruder.
"Boss!" Gary rushed in, falling on his knees.
"Didn't i warn that whoever interrupts me in my moments of joy.. hehe, you know the end result"
Gary felt chills when he heard the laughter of the burly man.
Boss Jay is as formidable as ever. How can that man compare to him.
Steeling himself, he broke the news.
"Boss.. Phil is dead"
And just as he expected, Boss Jay erupted in rage.
"Dead? who dares kill him!!!"
Gary snickered. If there was anything he admired about Boss Jay was his abnormal fetish.
Only he had the right to kill his subordinates.
If any one did, they would have to face his wrath!
