The Bracelet

It's a hot day today. The staff and the director are having refreshments and enjoying a small group discussion with Zee.

Enjoying interaction and engaging in communication is Zee's way of connecting with people. It's his way of bringing life to what he does every day, even with a hectic schedule as an actor.

Jen, who was on her way inside the tent, stopped abruptly to answer her phone. It was Chared who was calling.

"The police will be asking him to testify tomorrow morning." Chared quickly said. "A bracelet was left at the scene, and they already know it's his," he then ended the call.

Jen quickly went to Zee and asked him to talk in private. Zee excused himself from the staff and hopped in the van for them to talk privately.

"I think there's a problem, we should cancel today's shoot" Jen said, staring at Zee.

"What's the problem? Why would we cancel?" Zee asked, his lips parted.

"The bracelet you lost, it's was seen on the crime scene."

"My bracelet? Why was it there?"

"I don't know. Can't you remember what happened?" Jen looking tensed. "Your brother called earlier and told me about it."

"I remember losing it, but it wasn't around that time… I'm not quite sure," he said, deep in thought as he looked downward.

A knock on the window of the van interrupted their conversation. It was one of the staff. Zee rolled down the window, and the staff kindly informed them that the shooting would start within 30 minutes. He politely acknowledged and stated that they would get ready quickly.

"Let's talk later, but I don't think we should just cancel this shoot," He said as he forced a smile.

"Don't worry too much. It'll be fine," He added and got out of the van.

During the shoot, everyone was occupied with their tasks. Despite what Zee had heard from Jen, he remained remarkably focused. This left Jen amazed on his ability to sustain concentration.

She would frequently check up on him and observe his laughter and interactions with the people on the set. Watching her friend smile and laugh, it resulted in her experiencing mixed emotions.

She often wonders how he is managing his daily life. Sometimes, she would ask him, but most of the time, she hesitates because she doesn't want him to feel uncomfortable when answering her questions.

As 10 pm struck, the shooting was already done. The director wanted to wrap it up. Afterwards, they headed straight home.

While Jen was driving, her phone rang. As she saw the caller, she ended the call immediately.

"Why did you end the call?" Zee asked as he talked through the front mirror of the van. "It might be important."

"It's nothing important," Jen said while smiling.

"Okay… Can we have a cake tomorrow?" he asked.

"That is so random."

"I am craving it."

"I'm sorry, you can't. You're on a diet this whole week."

Zee just nodded and continued to stare out the window.

They arrived home by past midnight. Fortunately, the shooting location and Zee's home weren't too far apart. Jen was about to exit the vehicle as she intended to accompany him to ensure he got home safely, but Zee stopped her.

"Don't get off. Just be careful on your way home," he said as he put on his cap upon getting out of the van.

"Okay, good night. Get home safely and get some rest," Jen said after rolling down the window.

"I know, good night," Zee shouted as he walked toward the entrance door of the building. He headed to the elevator and pressed the button for the 17th floor, which is his floor. When the elevator arrived at the 17th floor, he hesitated to exit quickly. After 10 seconds, he decided to press the button for the rooftop floor.

The elevator is now on the rooftop. As he stepped out of the elevator, his eyes were startled to see Sharie. She was leaning against the wall across from the elevator, wearing a nude-colored long sleeve fitting dress with a shawl around her neck, matched with long black heeled boots.

Sharie is a famous celebrity, known for her angelic beauty. Elegance and grace are what she represents, which is indeed appreciated by her fans. Her flawless complexion seems to have been sculpted by the hands of a divine artist. And her striking features captivate all who gaze upon her.

With her statuesque figure and enchanting allure, she effortlessly grabs everyone's attention. Her beauty is not merely skin deep, it radiates from within, casting a luminous aura that makes her impossible to forget.

Zee and Sharie are long-time friends. They first met when they were cast in a drama. They were still in senior high school at that time and were new to the industry.

Zee was discovered by a newbie talent manager, Mr. Om, under JAR Agency, while Sharie was discovered by another talent agency.

One day, as Jen and Zee were on their way home from school, a talent manager named Mr. Om spotted them. With his striking facial features and good height, Mr. Om thought Zee could become a great actor someday and had great potential. He asked if Zee would like to try out and see if he would be fit into acting.

Zee was surprised to receive such compliments. He didn't immediately say yes and was unsure if he had the ability to become a celebrity. Mr. Om gave Zee his card and asked him to contact him if he decided to pursue acting. He promised to guide him if he agreed.

When they reached Jen's house, Zee asked her whether he should give acting a try. But he expressed his doubts about Mr. Om's credentials.

"I think you should go for it. You kind of look awesome, you know," Jen replied with a smile.

"Really? We're not even sure if he's really a talent manager."

"Just give it a try, and I'll come with you,"

Zee replied with a laugh.

When he got home, he told his mother about it. His mother encouraged him to go for it if he thought he would enjoy it. She also reminded him that if he didn't like it at all, he could always retreat, and she would be there for him no matter what.

"You're handsome, just like your father. I'm sure he'll be happy to know that someone recognizes your handsome face," his mother said as she touched Zee's cheeks.

The next morning, both Zee and Jen went to the location indicated on the card. They were shocked and amazed to find that Mr. Om was indeed a talent manager.

That became the turning point in Zee's career as an actor.
