Short Story- The Great Khan

The Ayangyn clan for the last month has been working hard with the other clans to get ready for the upcoming war. Because the elven tribes are used to combining forces for war, they have developed their own system to keep order and organization among their forces. At the very top stands the strongest cultivator among all clans, the sole ruler, the Grand Khan. Under its rule, the tribes become united and formed the Elven Khaganate.

Beneath the Great Khan is the leaders of Tens of Thousands, beneath them, are leaders of Thousands, beneath them the leaders of hundreds, and at the very bottom does that command tens. Each leader is responsible for commanding does one rank below them.

In past wars, they never need to go past thousands of men. But in this unknown war, where they might lose or die, they need every single body person they can find. As such for the first time in the green ocean region, the elves have gathers tens of thousands of soldiers for this upcoming war.

In the Ayangyn clan in a month has become a giant metropolis. As far as the eye could see there were only tame monsters and tents. Groups of hunters leave the camp and come back every few seconds. This amount of population requires a lot of resources. As such a lot of goods are getting funneled into the war machines.

Within the center and largest of the tents is a woman wearing a beautifully handcrafted orange Deel. Next to her is her trusted and bounded beast, a Lighting High Lizard. Her hand pets the scale head of her trusted companion, and her cold eyes focus on the kneeling elf before her.

A Lighting Elf is one of the many self-reforms a human can take. But this is a second rank reformation, meaning one must have reformed into a prerequisite race. This reform path is Human-> Elf-> Lighting Elf. As someone of a higher rank in the reform chain, the elf in front of her could do nothing more than shake in his boots.

"Repeat that again…"

"Yes Great Khan, the goblin nomadic tribes are willing to join us in this battle. They too got omens from the Empress. But they would be forming their own Khaganate"

"Bastards…all of them, get out of my sight and call forward the Tumen(Leader of Ten of Thousands)"

"Yes Great Khan"

The elven male stands up at lighting speeds, leaving the gran tent at fast as its legs could take him. As the male left the tent, Topazyn Davs, mortal name being Sara, could not help but sigh. It's a time like this were they all should be uniting under a common enemy and fight together. But the news that the goblins form their own separate Khaganate really pisses her off.

The goblins in this region are of the Zanth culture. The Zanth race has white to pale skin, with a scale-like texture. A beak-like mouth with long feathers growing at the temple of the head. They are a lanky and tall race, with three toes on their feet. The Zanth eat the first monster killed, consuming its soul and adding to their strength. In times of need, they can change their shape to their first kill, making them stronger in every way.

Like other humans and goblins, these two cultures fought against each other any time they could. But they know when to put aside their differences and join forces to defeat the corruptions or invasion towers. But having two different originations running this show is bound to cause countless problems.

Soon enough the entrance of the tent opens up as a male elf enters the tent. Wearing scale Lamellar armor. The most common type of armor is made in this region. The male elf is the leader of the Gal Boroo tribe. Earth name Ulaan Oniks. With short fire-like hair and bright red eyes, he is Topazyn second in command.

"You call for me Grand Khan?"

"Yes I did, I have been informed that the goblins have formed their Khaganate"

"…Bastards"

"Exactly, I call you for our next course of action, either we subjugate them or let them be. I want your honest opinion"

"If you wish so Great Khan, this humble leader thinks that we should leave them alone. Subjugating will lower our numbers and consume plenty of supplies. Plus even if we win there is no guarantee that the goblins will happily follow us. I can see rebellions and sabotage happening within the ranks if we subjugate the goblins"

Topazyn sighed as she nodded her head, what he said made perfect sense. But if they lets the goblins run while then control of the battlefield will be messy. Two separate armies fighting together are not as organized as a single army. She can imagen the kind of problems that would cause.

"I am inclined to agree with you… we need every single person we can to win this war and losing them against an "ally" force would be foolish. But you got no clue how much I wish to beat does bastards to a plump, a make a new river with their dirty blood"

"Please Great Khan calm down"

"….I will, now we just got to wait for the diplomat from the settle dwarf tribes"

Within lonely mountains of the Green Sea are settled tribes of dwarfs. With the heritage of the subterranean, they are crafters that enjoy art and perfecting their crafting. A small race with a strong affinity with the dark, metal, and earth. But she does not expect them to decline her invitation after they are from the same race, humans.

Soon a sweaty human woman enters the tent. The woman is wearing light leather armor, her breath ragged and uneven. It seems like she has run for a long time to be reduced to this state. The woman bows down to both of the leaders as she spoke after gathering her breath.

"Great Khan and Tumen, I bring news from the settle dwarf tribes."

"Speak"

"They won't be able to join us, for they are under attack by spirits"

"What!? Repeat that again!"

"Yes Tumen, it seems like spirits have been able to create automatons to fight for them. They are now waging war against the settled tribes"

In a fit of rage, Topazyn slams her fist against the hard dirt floor. With enough force to create small cracks in the soil. Her eyes shine with anger and blood lust. Nothing was going to plan! Why!? At a time like this the goddam spirits who have all but disappear come back with a new army and are ready for war!?

"Fucking pieces of shit, I wish them all ate copper!"

Her profound curse shook the two people in her presence. To does that worship Myetallshu, the notion of eating copper is the same as damming them to darkest hell. Eating gold, silver, or copper is a great insult to the gods and a sure way to get punished for it. The act of eating copper, the most valuable metal for their society, is the same as damming them to eternal war.

Her rage-full eyes landed on the two people in front of her, she did not wish for things to come to this. But there is a choice left in the matter.

"Contact the Elemental Weapons Sect and ask for their help"

-------?????------

The ground shook with every step. Their bellies jiggle with every step. The army grew in strength and size with every step. An army of thousands march forwards with a simple goal in mind. To feast to their heart's content, to expand their territories, and eat the most exotic of things.

The people making up this army are large humanoids. With large protruding bellies and thick muscles. Arm with cruel weapons made of bone and stone. The large majority of these thousand big army is wearing simple clothing. With very few of them wearing proper leather armor.

A large beast of war, chain up and pulled by at least 10 of these people can be seen at the very back of the marching army. The beast looks like a mix between a dog and a mammoth. With long thick fur, sharp dog-like teeth, 2 pairs of white tusk, and 8 thick bulging legs.

At the front and center of this large army is a well-decorated and arm individual. Wearing partial metal armor, with an outstanding hight of 25 feet. Arm with a dead rotting tree trunk, a large bone and metal butcher knife hangs from his back. On its shoulder rest two large heads. Each with only one eye and large sharp teeth. The army behind it started to sing a cruel song. A song of their endless appetite, the worship of their all-consuming god, and the need for more!

The hunger is ingrained into every living being, this person, no these ogres represent that. The ogres want nothing more than to satisfy their every need and bath in excess. War, food, sex, power, alcohol, arts, music, and crafting are all things the ogres crave, no, they need them to survive. Their hunger for each of does needs grow with each day becomes harder to satisfy each day, and each day their worship grows in strength.

The cruel booming voice of the leading figure echoes across the army, to once again remind them of their goal.

"We will feast on does from the outside! Just imagen all the things we can do outside! We will all be satisfied!"

"The curse God of the ogres has spreads its curse to its offspring. They march to eat and they won't be satisfied till they feast on your flesh"
