Lightning Island Part 7

"Steady!"

Mors says once again as he aims the arrow at the flying enemy. The arrow was made from dense Qi. Mors lets go of the string and lets the arrow fly toward its target. As the arrow flies, it split into countless copies of itself. Rushva moves his mana to his spear.

The roars of thunder in the sky intensified as a lightning bolt strike Rushva. From Rushva came forward a large lightning shield. The shield was able to block some of the arrows shot by Mors. But an equal amount of arrows hit Lightning hawks around him. The wounded hawks fell to the ground.

If they didn't die by landing the wrong way, a nearby Ghost will finish them off. But it wasn't long before both armies meet in melee range. Mors in a split-second changed from his bow to his sword. The next second he dodges out of the way from an upcoming attack.

Where he once stood was the magically enchanted Lightning Hawk. The air around him felt electric to the touch. The hawk's skin was like the hawk he fought last night, Rushva's skin had the hue of the blue sky. But something was off. The hawk in front of him felt like an extension of magic, of lightning, of the wrathful sky.

"So, by breaking the barrier around the island you made all lightning magic stronger. I wonder what is the downside to that"

Rushva took his spear out of the ground and pointed it at Mors. His words carry a heavenly aura with them. His tone is like that of the roaring thunder above.

"Today will be your last day other worlder! For you will fall here and become a message to all other worlders. That the Lightning Hawks are not to be messed with"

"Sadly, for you, I won't die here, I have a wife back home who will be very lonely without"

The hawk scuffs at Mors as he gets into a battle stance.

"I did not know other worlders could feel emotion"

"We all learn something new today-"

Mors puts his sword to the side, raising his left hand. He positions his feet and straightens his back. He has taken the position of a professional dancer.

"Let's dance"

The sound of the battlefield became an organized orchestra in Mors' ears. With beautiful and alluring steps, Mors moves towards Rushva. Rushva does a quick trusts attacks with his spear at Mors. Mors easily dodges the spear attack. Once he was close enough he swings his sword toward Rushva's neck.

The sword leaves a small scratch on the surface of his skin as he dodges out of the way. Blood did not come out of the wound as Mors expected. But pure lightning mana did instead. Draining away power from Rushva. Rushva felt danger once again as he dodges to the side.

Behind him appear two copies of Mors, both holding spears and both staving where he once stood. After not hitting their target the copies disappear. Mors moves towards Rushva as he lunches a fury of attacks. Not letting the spearman get any distance or gather his own thoughts.

Small wounds appear on the hawk's body. As more magic leaves Rushva's body, his movement becomes slower, and his muscles become weaker. He clicks his tongue as he gathers his mana once again. The sky screams in anger. Mors felt the hair in his body stand up with static.

With a quick and elegant step, Mors gets away from Rushva as 20 or so lightning bolts hit the Lightning Hawk. Mors's eyes scan the battlefield for a second as he summons more of his copies to help out the Ghost. He then turns his eyes back at Rushva, seeing that the hawk has become more blue and closer to pure magical power.

"You must not have much time left"

Mors says with a soft tone as the music turns grander and hyper.

"BEGONE!!!!"

Rushva screams from the top of his electrified lungs. He lunges towards Mors. Mors stays still as he waits for the hawk to reach him. Once Rushva was at an appropriate distance he started to do countless magical enchanted trusts at Mors.

Mors easy steps out of the way with elegant steps. The hawk in front of him was not as strong as the hawk from before. Mors grabs the electrified spear as he pulls Rushva forwards. Suspension fills the air as Rushva's eyes widen and his feet left the ground. The music became muffled, and things moved in slow motion.

'where is his sw-'

The sound of a sword cutting through flesh enters Rushva's ears. Rushva flew through the air as he saw his body in the third person. His body was missing a head.

'Ah-I have die'

Rushva thought to himself as his eyes slowly close. Rushva's body started to bloat with magic. Mors already expected something like this as he moves his remaining Qi around his body and making his muscles stronger. Mors grabs the bloated body and he throws it with all of his strength to the sky.

The body flew high before it meet a lightning bolt. The lightning made the body explode. Pure lightning magic spread across the battlefield. Making the lightning hawks fighting slightly stronger. Nothing to be worried about as Mors coul-

BOOM!

Before Mors could even finish his train of thought he dodge out of the way as a large blue color lightning bolt struck where he once stood. His eyes look up at the sky as they widen somewhat. Flying up high was a group of around 300 Lightning Hawk. Leading this group was none other than the female chief.

Her eyes had sparks of lightning coming out of it. Mors never notice before, but she is a general stage cultivator. One who seems to be even stronger without the barrier protecting the island.

'Shit'

"Today you will pay for breaking your promise other worlder"

Mors spin his sword in his hand.

"We will see about that"
