Chapter 33: The prince and the knight

Ezeden snapped his fingers and a chain appeared on Seraf's neck.

- "The execution will happen in three days. For now, you'll be imprisoned in the oneiric cage until the exactly day of the execution" Ezeden's left eye became totally blue.

- "What's the difference between a demon or a god? There's no difference.

They are the same.

They act same.

A god save his worshippers, and a demon save everyone.

They're saviors.

And.. Something higher than them has saved me" Ezeden said.

The highest savior.

Who is?

Seraf faced him, they were in front of each other.

- "Who saved you? Tell me" Seraf said.

Ezeden stared Seraf, intensely.

- "Who saved me? That's a funny question.. A curse saved me".

Ezeden's eyes began to shine in a blue light.

He slowly brought himself near Seraf.

Ezeden putted his right hand over Seraf's face, and closed his crimson eyes, and then he said: "When your eyes will be open, you will be in front of thousands of faces. Faces that doesn't know the truth. Faces that begging for their salvation.

They think that they're protected by me, by their new king.

Sadly, that's just a trick that they've fell into it.

I'm not their king.

I'm nothing.

The true king of Aquaris is inside of myself.

He will escape from me in three days, and he will show himself in front of everyone."

Seraf's eyes closed, and he fell into a deep sleep.

His eyes slowly opened, and he was stand up in front of a child.

- "I don't want to do it. I'm scared of that.." The child voice spoke.

- "What's your fear? The death? The pain? Remember, a prince shouldn't never fear those things" A man's voice reassured him.

- "Why.. Why I can't fear those things.. Isn't normal for everyone? I'm wrong or no? I want to live normally!"

- "Ezeden.. You are the prince of Aquaris.

The people won't trust in you if you're scared by those things.

They wants a great king, fearless and authoritarian".

- "The people won't trust in me.. Because I'm scared of those common fears..".

- "Leave those fears. Imprison your fears." The man said while he was stand up in front of the child.

The three of them were in a black space, Seraf was behind the child.

- "Ezeden, when you can't imprison your fears anymore.. Let them be free" A helmet of knight, leaved slowly his bearer.

- "Eradith.." Ezeden barely said.

The two stared each other.

- "Protect me, Eradith, do it always".

- "I will do" Eradith smiled at Ezeden.

The little child hugged the Eradith's armor.

Seraf blinked and the scene it wasn't the same anymore.

In front of Seraf's body, there was a tall figure, covered by shadows.

The figure and Eradith were faced each other.

- "You can't save the boy" A deep voice spoke.

- "Protecting him is my only reason to live".

- "Your useless sword won't help you save him.

The boy's fate has already decided.

Everything is already decided.

Every persons that you've meet in past. Their fate already decided.

Your fate is already decided, and this is the day when its end will reveal to the world.

Today you will die, by my hands".

- "The will of a knight will change everything, my will is the sparkle of the salvation of everyone.

A sparkle that is brighter than the stars themselves.

Ezeden will stay with his knight. The honorary knight Eradith, the swords of stars!" Eradith yelled.

In the penumbra, Eradith dashed to the tall figure's direction.

He pulled the sword out, and it start to shine.

Ezeden attacked him with his enlightened sword.

After the impact, a black cloud was created.

After some seconds, the cloud disappeared, and in the center of the area there was a bloodshed.

The tall man's face was visible.

Siner, one of the four Essences of Gods was there.

His right arm pierced the Eradith's stomach.

Eradith's body was still there, a heavy bleeding has make the floor a blood lake.

Siner's clothes were stained with Eradith's blood.

The red color of blood was over Siner's face, his looks was frightening.

Siner threw the body over the floor.

- "The escape from the end won't work for anyone.

The existences and the essences can't escape from the supreme judgment.

Ezeden, show yourself!".

The child named Ezeden, prince of Aquaris, showed up.

Ezeden's eyes were lucid and tearful.

- "Are you afraid?" Siner asked, coldly.

Ezeden looked at the corpse on the floor.

Siner brought himself near to Ezeden, and then asked again: "Are you afraid?".

Tears came out of Ezeden's eyes.

- "Y-Yes.. I'm afraid".

A dark blue light shined in the palm of the Siner's left hand.

He raised his hand in the sky, and he said: "Ezeden, you will be the new king of Aquaris in two decades. the actual king will die caused by the pact that he has stipulated with me.

When the time is over, you'll see me again" The light in his hand exploded and enlightened the whole kingdom.

Siner disappeared.

Ezeden walked close to the corpse on the floor.

- "I'm weak.

I won't never be powerful enough to wear your armor.

I'm the cause of your brutal death, the cause of your fate's end.." Ezeden screamed while the sorrow and wrath were inside of himself.

A desperate scream resound in the whole Aquaris kingdom.
